Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband

Happy shagging shaggers

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 06/04/2013 17:26

DH is doing v well at cheering me up - he went out to get me chocolate, brought home flowers as well, and lunch, and has cleaned the kitchen, whilst bringing me tea, bless him. He doesn't know what else to do - to him it's 'oh, well, next time, never mind'. I've tried explaining that the combo of hormones and extreme broodiness makes me irrational, but he just nods in a confused fashion. I know, I really do, that other people have tried for longer, and that I am being impatient etc etc etc, but I was so sure. And I'm very impatient... Wink.
How's everyone else doing?

MrsAVB · 06/04/2013 17:46

Ohh humpty sorry... Sad. Sounds like you have a lovely DH though!
All is good here, have just had a fun day out with a friend I hadn't seen in ages, now am looking forward to a quiet night in and a lie in tomorrow after a hectic few weeks of being busy. I love that rare day when you can not set an alarm! Although I do have a job application due tomorrow...
ERTD is dragging her heels - I just want to get back on the horse, so to speak!
Hope everyone's having a good weekend... X

Bearface · 06/04/2013 19:31

Oh, sorry Humpty. Sad I know that feeling when you are so sure it's your month . . . Glad your DH is looking after you though. Have some Thanks and Wine.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 06/04/2013 20:59

Thanks MrsAVB and bear. Cheered up a bit now - we've just booked a holiday for end of April/start of May, so lots to look forward to, and I know it will one day be my turn. Thanks to you all. xx

Redshoes56 · 07/04/2013 17:48

Hey, Humpty, it doesn't matter if you've been trying for a week, a year, or more -- it's always rough when it isn't your month, especially when you are so sure it is. Getting away will be fantastic medicine!

Drank a bit too much last night watching the basketball games, and suffered this morning with headache and heartburn (getting old). Visiting my grandmother this afternoon, which should be lovely -- and there will be cake for a much-belated (it was in January) birthday celebration for my husband. Mmm cake.

Tomorrow, though, I think I'm going to start a fertility-friendly diet with lots of vegetables and proteins, and cut down on sugars. I'm still hoping to conceive naturally but have decided to go to the specialist if we're not pregnant by my birthday in June.

cookielove · 07/04/2013 18:31

My news:

  1. first aid training on a sunday Shock

  2. me and dh have been dtd

  3. my sister sent me a bday gift a book called 'understanding your fertility' which I opened in front of my parents (cringe)

MrsAVB · 07/04/2013 18:41

humpty... Ooh a holiday sounds great... I would love just a lazy week by a pool somewhere right now; not my usual style but things have been so hectic lately. Are you going somewhere nice?
shoes am with you on the fertility friendly diet (although just googled it and got a little scared). I read the caffeine thread somewhere on this board too and got depressed. Starbucks may go bust as a result. Pregnancy food is going to be boring - all my favourite things are bad Sad.
cookie how cringy re. the book...I hope she you got some fun presents too?

coffeewineandchocolate · 08/04/2013 08:23

In the middle of the fertile jsing week. Unfortunately dh away on business from today. Let's hope we have done enough!

Minion · 08/04/2013 09:14

coffee
Fingers crossed for you

essie81 · 08/04/2013 09:25

Well we did js at the inlaws. DH seduced me. What can I say?! We only dtd on Fri though, because Sat his 93 yo Granny came to stay too and even DH (who was all for jsing at his folks house! ) agreed that was just too creepy. Now we are back home were back on it til DH goes away with work on Weds.

humpty sorry ertd showed up. Glad to hear DH is being amazing and that you have a hol booked too. Hope you are going somewhere lovely.

cookie ouch re the birthday book. Why didn't she warn you!!?

red & MrsAVB I'm trying to eat more healthily. I'm a bmaid for a friend soon so need to not change shape much or there will be dress dramas. Paying more attention to what I consume is making me realise I eat too much sugar though. However I am allergic to caffeine so at least that's one thing I don't have to try and give up!

Happy Monday all. Have a good week.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 08/04/2013 10:30

Thanks all. Back to my usual cheery self today - red you are SO right. When you feel like 'oooh maybe I am', it's such a let down to get ERTD/BFN, but I know I will eventually look back and laugh at my impatience. As for the diet, um... yes, me too! [fingers crossed behind back emoticon]

cookie - on a SUNDAY? That is the LORD'S day and for rest. Do they not know this? Hmm Like the book idea - that's quite thoughtful, isn't it? Or was it not?
coffee and essie good work on the JSing, esp Essie at the inlaws (sounds like an Enid Blyton book)
MrsAVB - we're going to the Italian Lakes. Renting a little holiday house and spending the week shagging being very cultural and seeing all the important local things like the ceiling Grin

coffeewineandchocolate · 08/04/2013 10:55

Thanks all. Hopefully it will be enough, managed 3 times in the group of highlighted days in my app. (my knowledge if all this ovulation business is limited). I'm assuming the highlighted bits are in the right place as coincided with lots of ewcm (tmi).

I am also back on the healthy eating wagon. I have discovered that since i began healthy eating that a day of refined sugar and/or rich food gives me a really dodgy stomach and i feel awful for days after. I'm hoping this will persuade me to ditch the crap for good!

I may have missed this further up thread but how long have people been trying/do any of you have other dcs?

MrsAVB · 08/04/2013 10:55

Morning all! Don't Mondays suck...
coffee good luck with the JSing, FX this will be our month everyone! ERTD ended for me yesterday. I've told DH he needs to up his game, with less lazy positions! Spent all day yesterday (after JSing) on a stupid job application, they are so dull and frustrating grr! essie err... Well done for JSing at the in-laws - hope it wasn't his childhood bedroom with Thomas the tank engine duvet etc., now that would really freak me out.
humpty, the lakes sound lovely, have always wanted to go there but only ever made it to Florence in Italy. Renting a house is a great plan as you can completely be on your own timetable...
Xxx

thethreeblondies · 08/04/2013 12:09

Hi ladies just popping back in to say I've had my 12 week scan and it's all looking lovely! Smile Hello to all the newbies this is a great thread, good luck!

I'm throwing lots of sparkly baby dust at u all, and hope you all join me on the grads thread soon (lots of them are having babies soon so it needs you!) xx

essie81 · 08/04/2013 13:12

Hi Blondie , lovely news! Glad to hear all is going well. Hopefully the grads thread will have a surge of new members from here soon!

Humpty the hol sounds lovely, not long to wait either. Yay!

TBH though I don't think this month can possibly be mine. There are too many obstacles. I've got 3 lists on the go and I've just worked out that I need to pack one room every 2 days, (as well as go to work and cook and everything else and shag ) if we are going to move on our target date. Still its not over til ERTD bowls in and spoils the fun I guess!

coffee, we've been ttc since Dec, but only making an organised effort shagging lots since the start of March when I had a meltdown realising how old I was (it was my birthday a few weeks ago).

In other news I am craving sugar like mad today. Eating healthily is tough! However I have discovered in my efforts to eat less bread, those Warburtons sandwich thin thingys are fab.

Rockchick1984 · 08/04/2013 14:38

Hi ladies, please can someone wash my cape? Had my 12 week scan today and sadly the baby stopped growing shortly after we saw the heartbeat at 8 weeks Sad

Have got to have ERPC, then will be back on the shag wagon once everything settles down again.

essie81 · 08/04/2013 14:58

Rockchick that's so sad, I'm so very sorry. Love and hugs x

MrsAVB · 08/04/2013 15:22

Ohh... rockchick so sorry for your loss. We will wash your cape in super-soft fabric conditioner so it's ready when you are.
Lots of love xxx

cookielove · 08/04/2013 15:39

Hello all.

Rock ahhhh sadness, big hugs xx thinking of you and you OH Sad

Humpty i know on a Sunday can you believe it and I've got another one next week Shock the one and only day of warm weather and were all stuck in doors. The cringe gift made worse by me not wanting to reveal it and then my dad saying jut do it we won't care, and then getting all awkward and embarrassed the second it is revealed and no my sister gave me absolutely NO warning [grrr] but it was thoughtful, cause she thought i was pregnant the same time she conceived (i wasn't) and she had been using this book, although she sent me a new one not hers!!

Essie JSing at the in laws house been there, done that naughty naughty Wink

coffeewineandchocolate · 08/04/2013 19:27

So sorry to hear about your scan rock.... Look after yourself and we will see you here when you are ready...

Redshoes56 · 08/04/2013 21:39

Oh rock very, very sorry Sad. Throwing a little "it's not fair" fit over here for you. Hugs.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 08/04/2013 22:22

rock oh jesus, I'm so so sorry. I can't imagine. You poor poor love. Hope you are okay. We'll be here when you're feeling up to it again. Take care of yourself.

Minion · 09/04/2013 11:04

rock I hope lots of TLC, cuddles, candlelight baths and hugs make this awful time for you a little bit more bearable, when you feel up to it we're here xx

Can I ask a question re DTD? My app says my fertile time is 11-17 so in a few days, with the actual OV being on the 16th (should be pretty accurate I hope as last month I has terrible OV cramps, so should feel it).
Does this mean that I should be JSing every other day, every day or just on the days around it?
Confused in Manchester!
