Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband

So sorry Bear, completely understand the angst. My OH may have a varicose vein in teste as well although he has been told by doctor that it is nothing to worry about. He has decided not to go back to the doctors about it until we have been trying for 6 months or more so sometimes worry that I am getting my hopes up for nothing Make sure you give yourself time to get your head around it, is it half term for you this week as well?

Oh, Bear, I'm so sorry You are so lovely, you deserve to be happy, and hopefully the vein will be the cause and you will be fine once he has the op! If not though you will still be a mum, even if it takes longer than you hoped

Can I join? I remember lurking wistfully on the first Viroids thread, but DP didnt want any more DCs. Santa left me something extra at christmas! and DP has been great and realised that he didnt think it was such a bad thing after all, then I MC'd about 3 weeks ago.
We are not actually TTC, we are going to 'just see how thing go', so I thought it'd be nice to join you guys. Im currently awaiting my first post MC ERTD, but I'm not letting that stand in the way of us putting in a good effort!

Hello Saggy - welcome. Really sorry about your MC. I hope things get better for you.

Thanks ladies for your support. Your comments were so sweet and made me cry a little bit, but in a good way.

DH and I sat down last night with the results and talked about how we could perhaps improve them. We decided it's worth a try even with the whole vein thing just in case it isn't that and there might some lifestyle factors we could change. The main thing seems to be keeping the testicles cool so DH is going to buy some looser gangster-type trews! And he's wearing his out of shape pants too. So, we'll see what happens over the next couple of months.

Yes, it is half term for me this week, Fish which is nice so I can just chil out and think things through. Also, our lube is about to arrive and ERTD is about to trundle off, so back on the hoping wagon for us. It might just be a very long journey . . .

Any word on your test Fish?

All over the place at the minute.

Tested this morning with a Boots own brand test and got a faint BFP, was all excited for about 20 minutes. Shone my mobile light through it and the vertical line wasn't visable. When I think back, I think there was already a faint vertical line on it before I even peed on it. Did a quick google search and turns out quite a few people have had false positives with this test before. Was really surprised as I thought it would be a trusted brand. I don't feel like I can get my hopes up now.

Going to get into town later and buy a digital one so that I don't have to stand holding it up to the light trying to work out if it is positive. Not going to let myself get excited until another test comes out BFP as well.

Still no ERTD for me will be testing tomorrow if she chooses not to appear, which i can't believe i've managed to wait so long not to test.

Andie did you hear any thing yet?

Took a digital test this afternoon and got a BFP! When I ejected the tip it had two very strong blue lines on it as well.

Very excited now but feel I should be doing something baby related! I have already warned my OH that I feel like kidnapping a newborn!

Cookie I can't believe you haven't tested yet. Willpower if steel.

I am through to pre training next week. Yayyyy. Am very excited. There's 22 of us vying for 15 posts so not bad odds. Having a dilemma though, if we are hired we have to have Occupational Health assessments so I'm now hoping to NOT be upduffed as if bloods show I'm preggers I might not get a position as it's a 6month traineeship and I have to be able to move and steady patients.

Me and OH are so excited, I want to go and tell everyone I know but we have agreed to keep it to ourselves for a little while. bets are I cave in the first time I see my mum!

I know i am really suprised at my will power, i think ertd may be on its way though as i have had a few (hardly any to be fair) sharp pains in my tummy, although not really any cramps, but we shall see, what will be will be

Fish - don't feel bad - it's just one of those things where some people are really lucky and others aren't. That's life. Who knows why things happen as they do? Just be happy that you have your BFP. We're all really pleased for you.
