Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband

Happy shagging shaggers

Fish it could be an evaporation line or it could be a teeny bit of HCG in your urine - only way to tell is to test again in a day or 2 :)

Yes other people have said maybe a mild flu, i think i will be going back to work tomorrow as i am eating better and seem to have got some energy back!!

I have heard of that happening to others, how much later did you look at the test? Cause if it was longer than 10 minutes which i would have thought it would be then, then i think they say you can't depend on those results, so the only think you can do is retest, now would you retest now, or wait for tomorrows fmu?

fish88 · 20/02/2013 15:33

It was 2/3 hours later but is still there now. The test I used was only a cheapy and it hasn't got a cut off time in the instructions but I know most others are ten minutes. I also thought evaporation line but it is slightly pink rather than grey.

I have agreed to only test when my OH is around and he is at work until late tonight so will wait until tomorrow morning and test then if still no ERTD.

notsoold · 20/02/2013 15:38

Fish...fx for you.....
If initially showed as negative, could you wait for like 2 days before retesting?? ( I couldn't) fx....xxx

cookielove · 20/02/2013 15:39

That sounds like a good plan, wow your good testing when your OH is around, i don't think i have ever even let Dh know i am testing Blush mainly cause he thinks it's a waste of money, which i guess it is, not that i'll ever admit that to him, or how much i've spent on it Grin

Well fx that they pink line appears tomorrow to Smile

I don't mean to be mean, just don't want you to get your hopes up and then crushed again tomorrow if that makes sense?

fish88 · 20/02/2013 16:00

Yeah, I think deep down I know that I'm not pergnant and just having an odd cycle.

I like the idea of my OH finding out at the same time as me and it stops me from peeing on everything that stays still as he would think I was crazy if I tested constantly! Hmm

cookielove · 20/02/2013 16:21

No no, i don't want you to loose all hope after all a line is a line!!! Oh no i feel bad now!!

Its a lovely idea about your OH finding out at the same time, my dh i think won't actually think its real till there is a baby in his arms Hmm

fish88 · 20/02/2013 16:48

Don't worry, it wasn't anything you said! Just think that two BFNs should tell me all I need to know. It is only our 2 cycle of TTC so would have been surprised if it happened this quickly.

OH is as broody as me so very excited about the whole thing. I think he will be terrified though by the time due date comes around.

cookielove · 20/02/2013 16:55

Phew Smile

I think the problem is my dh is useless Grin

cookielove · 20/02/2013 16:58

Your OH, sounds lovely Smile

frogchops · 20/02/2013 17:09

Fx for fishy!!! This very thing happened to me, wait a day or two if you can. Line was soooo faint when it did appear tho. Had to get more expensive test to confirm.

AndieDisestablishment · 20/02/2013 17:10

Stressing out!!! Was told yesterday we'd hear today whether we had been shirt listed or not. It's ten past five and no call. Should I call them or does that l

AndieDisestablishment · 20/02/2013 17:12

look pushy?! stress thumbs

FX Fish give it a couple of days and try again.

Glad you're feeling a but better Cookie

Hi everyone else.

cookielove · 20/02/2013 17:16

Oooh Andie i don't know part of me would be chomping on the bit on the phone wanting to know but the more sensible person in me would wait till the morning to call probably around 10 as that gives them plently of time to call me instead of the other way round.

Thanks my but is feeling better to Grin

fish88 · 20/02/2013 17:21

Urgh, Andie I hate it when they don't call back in the time they say. The waiting is the worst part. I would be tempted to call just to ask for on update on whether they have decided or need more time?

Frog have bought some different tests so will wait a while and test again. Think next time I should get digital pregnant/not pregnant ones to save myself the stress! Don't think ERTD is going to appear in next couple of days, normally CM has dried up by this point but still lots of white, creamy CM at minute. (Sorry if tmi! Blush)

fish88 · 20/02/2013 17:22

P.S. Cookie My OH is lovely, but also useless! Grin

AndieDisestablishment · 20/02/2013 17:53

Hahaha, Cookie didn't mean to bring your but into it. Told you I had stress thumbs.
Fish The prolonged CM could be a good sign, it's often an early pg sign.

Well I called them, DP is as eager to find out as I am so made me.lol. It's taken them longer than expected so they'll be calling everyone first thing tomorrow. Eeeek.

cookielove · 20/02/2013 17:54

Oh my god i am going to strangle my husband, he is soooo annoying!!

I as you all know have been off sick, and i put the dehumidifier on this morning as the bathroom has been really wet (i know) and dh didn't want it spreading out into the rest of the flat (god what have i married) so i tell him i put it on as i had been noticing how wet the room was over last few days cause i had been at home all week, thinking hi five cookie well done. I know i've been off i am bored. And he said 'yes thats why i put in on lots' . I know i feel a bit irrational here but why can't he ever just say well done, but always bring up that he has done it to.

And breath.

Smile
fish88 · 20/02/2013 18:07

Haha, feeling similar Cookie after the heated discussion with my OH this morning about why he feels the need to turn on every single light as he walks through the house but then forgets to turn any of them off. Plus leaving all the taps running and the doors open, etc.! Useless, all of them! Love him really!

fish88 · 20/02/2013 18:07

Andie Fingers and toes crossed for you. Although Boo for having to wait another night to find out.

cookielove · 20/02/2013 18:14

He's just done something really nice for me so maybe i will love him again Grin

Bearface · 20/02/2013 19:22

Hi Guys,

We've had some bad news in the Bear household. DH had his docs appt for his second SA test and he was told over the phone that it was the same as before, i.e. borderline normal. When he went to the docs first time GP siad that it wasn't too bad and he thought it might just take us longer than everyone else but we'd get there in the end but they were just going to do another test to check.

Now, after the next SA test a different GP says that the swimmers are not forming properly. Only a really tiny percentage are properly formed, so our chances of conceiving with current results are 'highly unlikely'. We haven't given up completely, but we are so so sad. Sad

DH is extremely healthy too, so there isn't much he can change about his lifestyle that might affect it. We're talking about someone with no excess body fat, who exercises daily, doesn't smoke and hardly drinks. He eats really healthily too. GP is going to find out whether it is to do with the vein I told you about before, but at the moment it looks like we are going to have to explore other options. It doesn't mean we can't have a baby, but it does mean we probably can't do it without some major help, perhaps even IVF.

I feel really sad and angry. I know it isn't the end of the road, but I can't help but have feelings of self-pity and resentment. I know lots of people have crap in their lives and I've had my fair share too, but I really thought, well, at least I'll be able to have some children when DH and I are ready and they will bring us joy and happiness, but now it's seeming like it will be a struggle to do that too. It's just so unfair. Angry

Sorry for this outpouring of bleugh and angst. We'll get over it and move on. It helps just for me to write it down though, so I hope you don't mind. Confused

Need to go back and read as been away for a few days, so sorry for no personal messages here. Hope everyone is well though. x

Bearface · 20/02/2013 19:26

Oh good luck Fish! Hope it is your BFP. Smile

cookielove · 20/02/2013 19:35

Bearface oh no that is not good news, well at least you still have hope with IVF. Do you know if you'll get IVF on the NHS in your area?

I totally get the writing it down, its good therapy.

Any way thinking of you Smile

notsoold · 20/02/2013 20:00

Bear...this is the place to vent ....xxx
