Hum thunder that is weird! No idea why it would be positive on CD31.....random. Can I ask, what made you pee on an OPK on CD31? Hmm

Pipbin · 21/01/2013 18:12

The other thing that can make a positive OPK on CD 31 is being updiffed.

Thundercatsarego · 21/01/2013 18:31

Not if FRER says no tho eh, pip?

Good question mother, ridiculous behaviour eh (just want to know what's going on really as I'm just getting straight again after mmc)? I did one a few hours later and nothing. Have decided that these opks are conspiring to confuse me. Want af to arrive and then I can get on with next cycle.

viviennewestwould · 21/01/2013 19:03

Sidney, thanks for asking, Mr. Viv was asked to jizz in a cup this morning (I own a proper self-insemination kit) but he 'didn't have time' before work. I am ovulating today. He is currently 'thawing out' before we try to 'make love'. I feel very anxious but am smiling sweetly (through gritted teeth). I just know he isn't going to be able to ejaculate...

Thundercatsarego · 21/01/2013 19:23

Hi viv, I appreciate this is a personal post seeing as we just 'met', but I read your recent messages about the vicious cycle of ejaculatory issues and I really sympathise. Does the pot approach (vessel not smoking) help in any way to take the pressure of during the crucial time? I was thinking a bit of porn without the pressure of performing, while you build up the practice for 'love making' on your down time?

Slap me if I'm talking nonsense - clearly need a slap after losing the plot today anyway.

viviennewestwould · 21/01/2013 19:38

Knock, knock..

viviennewestwould · 21/01/2013 19:38

...who's there?

viviennewestwould · 21/01/2013 19:39

...a girl with a gallon of sperm inside her! GrinGrinGrin

MotherOfCleo · 21/01/2013 19:42

whoop whoop! way to go Mr Viv Grin Grin Grin

viviennewestwould · 21/01/2013 19:50

Thunder, we've tried absolutely everything and have found that even a room full of lesbians writhing at his feet would not elicit ejaculation when his head has gone west. He really does need to silence the demons in his mind. What worked tonight was talking him through our first ever date at the cinema where we were asked to leave because our (ahem) enthusiasm for one another was spotted on camera and deemed obscene. Without going into detail we were almost having full sex and it was themost exciting experience..Blush

Boodle9 · 21/01/2013 20:25

Evening all! "Hi" to hyper and thunder (if I haven't said it already...I lose track easily), "Oooooooh!" toMother and "Woop woop!" to viv! Grin

Haven't got much to say other than that really. CD 5 here and just kicking my feet about, waiting to get going with cycle (insert choice expletive) 18. I am booked in at the doctors this week and, if she sticks to her word, I should be getting referred to a fertility specialist from there.

SidneyBristow · 21/01/2013 21:41

Way to go Mr Viv!!! Grin

Bunnygirlie · 21/01/2013 22:14

Yay viv

Good to see you janey are you and your fellow EP graduates well?

I got the date for my next hospital appointment through today 13th Feb.
That should be OV day for me next month!

Thing is though both of us today saw a father who lives round the corner from us with his 3 teenage children (there is no mum) and we both said that we didn't know if we could do that.
I know it sounds dreadful but if it doesn't happen then I'm not going to be devastated.

I also had a chat today with a woman at work who just lost her baby at 21 weeks about what we are both going through.

Bunnygirlie · 21/01/2013 22:17

Stuck in limbo here waiting for AF to arrive, I know we didn't DTD enough when needed so just want to get on with next month. So after birthday weekend I'd like to fast forward a good week or so to get on with it Wink

Whoop whoop Viv, bet you're both walking on air. Sounds like it was perfect timing too... FX for you. I'm back in snowy England post honeymoon, CD4 (boring), with post wedding blues. Set my alarm to temp this morn but woke up with jet lag 2 hours early with night sweats... Fail. Anyway heres to the current cycle for us all...
Thunder-no AF yet? I would be PO every freaking pregnancy test S in sight multiple times a day wanders off to check stick stocks obsessively

viviennewestwould · 22/01/2013 08:07

Pip (resident CBFM expert), my CBFM crashed yesterday, however, the stick i peed on showed two lines almost the same strength of colour. Today there is hardly any second line at all. My internet cheapie OPK gave me an LH surge on Sunday (1pm). Can you advise me when ovulation is due according to the CBFM sticks?

Thundercatsarego · 22/01/2013 08:54

Good work, viv, and mr viv of course but it sounds like you did a sterling job in making that happen.

pip I think that's a good thing - not being devastated if it doesn't happen? Helps to add a touch of balance to it all? 21 weeks though, sheesh that is so rough.

bunny and 2cats, I'm waiting for af too. I know it hasn't worked this cycle but I also don't know when af will come as I know they can be screwed up after mmc. (in my complicated over thinking way it would actually be good if it didn't come til next Mon as then if it worked next cycle I would still qualify for smp in new job that I start soon. That's my head talking, my heart says come on let's get on with it!)

2cats where was the honeymoon?

2cats222 · 22/01/2013 09:12

Thunder - how do you know you're not pg?? Sorry about the mmc, hope you are OK/recovering. Honeymoon was the Maldives - true post wedding blues this morn as house is full of all the crap from the wedding to sort out / tidy up / hoard and my view is no longer of blue skies and beautiful sunsets Sad Moan over i can hear you all shouting ungrateful bitch from here have cheered myself up by POA(OPK)S and starting to write an obsessive cycle diary to ensure I am prepared/armed to face the doc if this cycle doesn't end up with BFP.
Bunny - when is AF due? Living out my BFP hopes through others here!
Now off to do something constructive heads off to put kettle on before reading another mn classics thread for the next few hours

Thundercatsarego · 22/01/2013 10:50

2cats, I know really- don't feel pg, don't have any symptoms like last time (boobs aren't on fire, can sleep through the night), and also we haven't dtd since cd 16 (I know I know). Last time I had a cb digi saying 2-3 weeks by day 30!

Honeymoon sounds amazing. Sorry about post-fun blues? Time to get the photos out to cheer you?

Aquarius1 · 22/01/2013 12:40

Greetings 2cats and thunder, and afternoon all. boodle hope your apptmt at the docs goes well.

viv really pleased for you Smile

So here's a question - My libido's a bit lacking &i've been wondering if it doesn't help for ttc that I rarely (hardly ever these days) climax when we dtd- anyone have any views? (It's a bit scary sharing such personal stuff on here- wheres the blushing face on the app?)

2cats222 · 22/01/2013 13:59

aquarius i've heard/read it helps provided it's after he does. Read this about the beautifully named cervical dip! www.sheknows.com/love-and-sex/articles/811826/the-cervical-dip-orgasms-trying-to-conceive

captainmoll · 22/01/2013 14:03

Aquarius - yes to the cervical dip - was just going to say the same thing - BUT - even if you don't climax, you can kinda do the dip anyway. It's a bit like pelvic floor exercises, and I sometimes find that trying to do it helps me get there anyway when mid-act. There's also the old post-coital legs-in-the-air, which I'm totally convinced all helps too..

captainmoll · 22/01/2013 14:05

post-script - the cervical dip is the reason many women find they orgasm just after their partner - we're sort of programmed that way by evolution. Maybe encourage DP to keep up some kind of attention in the moments just after he's 'arrived'?

MotherOfCleo · 22/01/2013 14:13

aquarius I rarely orgasm, I do the legs in the air number and the pelvic floor number too though so FX they still find their way Smile
