The sad thing is, I even did quite a bit of work over the holidays (including six hours of marking on Christmas Eve for goodness sake) and I still don't feel ready for tomorrow! Sigh...

Ah Boodle I think no matter how much work we do we always feel like there's something more that could be done - nature of the beast! Christmas is the one holiday where I usually don't do any work at all. Had planned to do some this year as we are going back so late but the lurgy put paid to that!! Just 25 more get ups.......

And can I just mention that "back to work"? I wish - my boss firmly believes that we live to work, so during the "holidays" that most people had, I had 25,26 and the 1st off. Must be well rested and relaxed now (she thinks).

A month until holidays - a whole week off, can you imagine! Of course, I'm expected to be available on the Blackberry.
I was considering becoming a teacher until I realized I don't like most kids. Hm, then again, if I think about my own teachers now, that's actually not necessary, is it?

I went back to work on the 2nd hazle and that was too soon so I feel for you! I wish Id thought about teaching as I would LOVE 10 weeks holoday rather than 21 days.....ahh I guess I can dream lol

Get well soon, bunny! From the list above we'll be testing at the same time, and it looks like we are also coinciding with illness! I have come down with a horrible cold over the weekend. This is the first month I have been taking my temperature and my phone app has suddenly decided I ovulated a couple of days ago, on CD11. I have a slightly erratic 35-day cycle and was expecting ovulation to be around CD21. I suspect the high temperatures are down to being ill; either that or we completely missed the window of opportunity this cycle.

There are lots of pregnant ladies in the list - a very encouraging sign. Can I ask for your "stories" - how long you were trying for, etc?

Pip but then you get to spend all that time with your own kids! Taking into account all the "oh god when will they go back to school???" threads that are posted during any school holiday, apparently that's pure torture. Now, why exactly are we doing this?

retro in my case, we tried half-heartedly (meaning no monitoring, just not using any contraceptives) for a few months in 2011. nothing happened, but I was diagnosed with Graves disease (thyroid) and this affects fertility as well. Endocrinologist told us to stop ttc during treatment, as both the condition and medicine can be dangerous. Got it sorted in May and hormone levels stabilised by about July, so started trying again.

I managed to get pregnant with our second try - using Persona monitor. Unfortunately that one was a chemical pregnancy and lost it at almost 6 weeks. As the doc didn't say we should wait, we didn't and I got pregnant again immediately. So we were very lucky as it didn't take that long.

Retro - you have been the third person this month that I've heard as oving early! (Including me!). Weird hey?
