Viv you make me laugh. You're right, dildocam has that bonus. Gynae had a good poke around with her fingers earlier, and a freezing bit of metal equipment, and I thought dildocam was def preferable to both of those. She had to be 'chapreoned' by a nurse too, so that was another person meandering about in my lady garden.

I am laughing a lot at all your DTD / Conceive Plus stories. My DH is totally knackered, so the necessary 4-5 goes a month is about all he can take, poor bastard. TMI! He's circumcised, so he really likes the CP. Apparently it's a bit uncomfortable going in 'dry'. He also hates porn, so lawd knows what he'll do when he has to make love to the plastic cup at the sperm analysis next week! Maybe I'll text him a cheeky picture of my boobs..

What I hate most about dildocam is the condom they put on it first. It's just weird that something that you've known exclusively used for sex being used in a non-sexual context. God, when I was young I used to think it was awkward when my bf stopped to put a condom on - it's even worse waiting for a sonographer!

Just got in from work and catching up on the thread... I am crying with laughter!!! I have a GP appointment on Monday and I have just purchased some conceive plus so I guess I have 'bits dangling in a paddling pool' and potentially 'dildocam' to look forward too!

Lol Viv, after being together for just over 4 years, 3 or 4 times a week is usually how much I want it as well so he's not used to me turning it down, and I am not used to wanting to turn it down as it's usually up there with sleeping and eating and drinking wine as one of my favourite things to do. I can barely remember what it's like to feel horny these days. I have told him he is going to have to start with the hand shandys if he hasn't already because I can imagine as I get bigger the shag shop might close its doors altogether for a while.

Viv if you have a test in the house then surely no harm in doing one, but if you have to make a big effort to go and get one on public transport then I would probably be tempted to wait until AF doesn't show. The wait is a killer though, I know.

Ref DTD frequency, I feel so much better after reading your comments, at least we're not the only couple who don't wanna do it much anymore.

I can feel the pressure and stress building as we head into DTD week (CD8 here). I don't want to put pressure onto DH but I did mention what i'd read about needing healthy sperm so he might have to have a w**k the week before we start DTD so he has fresh/healthy sperm and he gave me a look. I just don't know how to do this without making a big deal of it, unless we are DTD every other day throughout the month then its going to be obvious when I wanna have sex at a certain time of the month and often! If only we were at it like rabbits like in the first few years! This is so difficult!!!

Drink snorting again - this time at Viv's New Year's Eve sperm wastage! I too feel a lot better after reading that we're not the only couple who aren't at it like rabbits every day of the week! I work in a school so pre-TTC we could easily go a half term with very little in the way of sexual encounters. (Then make up for it in the holidays!)

Oh, and I meant to add, I have also had a heart-to-heart with DH and basically asked him to make sure that he has a happy ending every other day...with or without my involvement! I want to get some better SA results next time he goes to (in the words of captainmoll 'make love to the plastic cup'!

And viv, if you haven't already done one, you might as well test if you've got lots to spare!

So I was talking to the hairdresser today about moving house and wanting somewhere bigger. The conversation went as follows:
Her: So will you have any children come home?
Me: Sorry I don't follow.
Her: Will any of your children come back and live with you?
Me: I don't have any children; Yet!

You're not old pip people are stupid. I felt insulted when a waitress thought I was my stepsons mum the other day. He's 13 and I'm 30 felt annoyed that she thought I was old enough to have a child that age then i remembered his mum is actually the same age as me!
