Snap bunny wish I started researching in sept when we first discussed ttc, if only i knew then what I know now! Id have used opks from day one, ive been off the pill since sept an its only really been the last cycle which has been normal! I had one 35 day cycle followed by a 25 cycle which i thought couldnt possibly be AF as it was 10 days too early, so spent about 2 weeks confused and not dtd as waiting for AF, as such I think I missed 2 OV cycles, I now know that what I thought were AF cramps in that confusing 2 weeks were prob OV cramps.....big fat fail! At least I think my body has calmed down now, never thought 10 years on the pill would have such a lasting effect and to think I worried Id get preggo if I missed one pill....haha as if!

Well onwards and upwards! Heres to getting big an fat and preggo in 2013!!!

FX anyone else whos body is or was having a bit of a meltdown, pulls itself together thos year and gets on with the job at hand!

Bunny And Mother - I did loads of research before ttc and tried many different things and I'm still not pregnant so don't worry too much about it :)

oh and me and my fella have been together 7 years this year and we are well past the at it like rabbits stage. Before TTC I guess we averaged about 5 or 6 times a month, now we can do that in one week, we tried the every other day thing the first month and were knackered by the second week, we now go for quantity when it matters if we are too tired in the evening we have a sneaky one first thing. Kind of works for both of us I do find it amusing when he starts to flag a bit though, all those years of him asking for it and now I demand too much lol

Blimey Mother, 5 or 6 times a month! Before ttcing we were lucky to do that a year. Honestly, we would sometimes go a month or so without any!
Now we do it a lot more, but we do tend to stop after I've ov'd.
However, now that we have upped the amount we have now started doing it more for fun.
Anyway, that's ten years of marriage for you!

I'm in the same boat pip et al - married around 7 yrs and definitely didn't dtd as much as til we started trying. Dh loves it sometimes but other times is too tired/ not in mood - bless him after 9 mths of trying he's now getting the fact we need to dtd at certain times. I don't like dtd'ing after I've ov'd or in the wk up to af either.

haha pip that is because he actually renamed Sunday 'sexy sunday', if he didn't get it at least once sometimes twice a week he became very grouchy, needs must and all that lol. He used to moan that I didn't initiate now he looks at me like I'm a loon when I do, he should be careful what he wishes for.

It's funny I think he was actually a bit sad we got a BFN this month, he wrote a shopping list for me he is not allowed to shop as the bill doubles sometimes triples when he is in charge of the trolley and it is ALL veg, fruit, chicken, tuna etc, think he took my joke about his sperm being overweight a bit too literally. bless him.

I, personally, have had my sex life ruined by ttc. It is fucking heartbreaking to see the angst and the pressure my lovely DP is under around ovulation (he can't ejaculate under pressure) and I have forgotten entirely what sexy fun feels like around this time. So much emotional baggage comes to the surface during my fertile window that, after ovulation, we both emerge feeling a little like we've been in a warzone. Anyway, we have resigned ourselves to the notion that this has now become a job - a mission that simply has to be accomplished - so I've introduced porn and other bits of filth into our sex sessions. It has added a new dynamic and is making things a little easier.

Well, it's 12DPO for me and my temp is still high! It should have started falling from yesterday is AF is imminent (I'm due on Sunday).

He?s also put a ban on conceive plus ? apparently it is like ?trying to shag a river?

navis - DP started to object to it too, thankfully I was already knocked up before he banned it.

viv - got absolutely everything crossed for you that this is your month. don't understand the temp thing at all but sounds like it could be hopeful?

Navis I found that with Conceive Plus i needed a tiny dot of it, really, like a pea sized amount. I don't normally use lube anyway, but when you know you've got to do the job it does help.

Also, I have found that letting my DH know that I don't need to 'arrive' to enjoy it has made a difference. He knows that it's a case of get the job done, not how long it lasts or quality. I think that for him he sees me peeing on things, checking stuff and crying each month, having a quicky is not to much to ask.

Hi all. Just got back from a long morning at the Gynae department. Been poked, prodded and fingered a bit more. Such fun.
They asked a bunch of questions, told me nothing - I had to ask twice for the results of my progesterone blood test - they said with a shrug of the shoulders that it was bit low. The chief Gynae now wants me back next friday to do the ultrasound again, so more dildo-cam and prodding about, and it means I'll lose a day's wages as I'm on a 0-hours job so no worky, no payey. It may be up to 2 more months on the waiting list after that for surgery, then a month to recover before I can TTC, so I'm looking at 3-4 months all in before I can resume TTC.

Sick of it today.

How frustrating Captain With your plumbing sorted and a clean bill of health you'll be upduffed in no time though and this time next year you will probably be nearing your due date.

Listening to you lot talk about DTD or rather lack of has made me feel much better. I have been feeling quite guilty about my lack of desire since getting knocked up but we have still been doing it a couple of times a week although it's more through obligation than desire from my point as I would quite frankly rather have a cup of tea and a nap at the moment. I should get DH to read this thread to get the message across that it's not just me! We usually DTD at least 3-4 times a week so he has been protesting, albeit subtly, that he is not getting enough these days. It would seem he doesn't know how good he has got it!

I have located the elusive galloping horse this morning so all is good again Even by holding the sensor in the same place it still comes and goes as presumably the baby moves around so I think it's normal not to be able to hear it sometimes and I should keep this in mind in future when I'm flapping about the lack of horses in my belly.

Another one jumping in the boat - we have been together a long time (double figures) and have been through times of sex drought, though not since starting TTC!
