I hope nobody else has started a May conception thread; April isn't going to be it for me, so onwards and forwards ladies!

Hey Wannabe: we're not giving up on you yet. When did you do your test? This morning or last night? Sorry this is being all dragged out for you. Sad

Hi soundbites - welcome.

Peachy: I do indeed work at the school you mentioned, and believe me it is not as exciting as it may appear. Been there for 4 years now.

Coggy: I did in fact use the Johnsons Holiday Skin on my Bum, but I still wouldn't wish it on anyone except my DH.

I've ordered 4 of those pillows for the living room. Love the flesh tones.

coggy · 27/04/2006 12:06

Hi soundbites!

Sorry about what's going on WannaBe and I hope it all goes as you want it to in the morning.
Sometimes I wonder if our cycles go squ-wiff (?) because we worry about them...impossibel not to at at certain stage though - I know.
Mine have gone wierd the past two months.

Thought I'd let everyone know....in our local Boots at the moment there's an offer of a free clearblue (non-digi) pg test with ANY other clearblue product bought.
As we all seem to pay the ClearBlue wages I think we should all cash in here!

Hopefully it's a national offer :)
Got mine (even thouugh I'm CD3!!!) very keen and positive about this month!

wannaBe1974 · 27/04/2006 12:07

hi hc, I tested last night, but tbh I'm so late now that would have thought the hormone would come up whenever I tested. I'm now absolutely sure Im not pg, but obviously there's something wrong and whatever it is is going to stop me having a baby, well at least in the near future. I do realize this all sounds very defeatist, I think that if I was having regular 28 day cycles then I would be thinking it's shit but you never know it might happen, but the fact my cycles have got progressively longer over the past couple of months and I'm now on cd39 with no sign even of an af, it just brings home the fact that there is something wrong with me, be it fertility wise or another medical condition that affects fertility. There is going to have to come a time when I say that we can't ttc any more, my ds is 3.5 now, 4/5 years is still a decent age gap, but what if it's more than that, 6, 7, 8 years, I almost feel it would be unfair to have another child that much younger than ds. i'm babbling now and reality is I might as well wait until I've seen gp tomorrow but I'm realistic, not really optimistic.

wannaBe1974 · 27/04/2006 12:09

lol coggy I think we should all have shares in clearblue.

coggy · 27/04/2006 12:11

Sorry you're feeling down about everything.
What time is your gp's appointment tomorrow?

wannaBe1974 · 27/04/2006 12:17

Apt is 10 to 9 am so don't have to wait around for it.

peachygirl · 27/04/2006 12:52

HI all LoL at the response to the pillow!
Welcome soundbites I don't know if anyones said but we have a stats thread and a thread in chat too

Hopecat · 27/04/2006 13:57

Hey Wannabe. What was your longest cycle before this? Do you think it's stress making the gaps longer?

Cycle lengths vary for weird reasons. I had a 35 day cycle when my dog went into heat.

Gross eh?

Other really long one in the last year and a half was because of a 5 day trip to NY. Jet-lag, stress and tiredness delayed ovulation.

wannaBe1974 · 27/04/2006 14:17

lol at the dog in heat hc. although i did read somewhere that if there are lots of women in a house then their cycles are generally in sink with one another? so maybe this goes for humans/dogs also? lol.

Haven't really had any stress lately, so don't know what could cause the lengthening of cycles, last month i had a 35 day cycle although had some spotting on day 33/34 with full-on bleeding on cd35.

laughalot · 27/04/2006 14:46

Hi girls cd 23 for me and iv got thrashing boobies and loads of cm, trying to not get to excited but I cant help it.

Wannabe sorry about bfn hunny

Hopecat · 27/04/2006 15:18

LOL at thrashing boobies lotta. Are people staring at you? Picturing them jumping about on their own.

There are precious few opportunities to get excited in life: enjoy yourself.

As you might have gathered from my recent posts, I'm excited too. I now have:

Achey boobs
Continued cramps
metallic taste in mouth
Starving hungry
Tired
Little white lumps on nips (TMI - I know)
Lots of weeing
loads of CM.

The only thing stopping me getting too excited is the chemical PG last month. This is all earlier and stronger, but it doesn't mean it won't happen again.

Wannabe, I'm sure it was the doggy hormones. It was faintly disturbing TBH. Grin

maazaa · 27/04/2006 15:36

Ladies, what's a chemical pg?

Am excited and for you hopeful ladies and sad for you wannabe - but at least if you see your gp, it might be something easily solved.

As for my CD - I think I'm on day 10 and definately had evcm according to the excellent website, so god knows what's going on. It's funny that I have never analysed by body or how it feels or how long my cycle is before. Wish I had been more observant!

Still, nearly the bank holiday weekend! Hurrah!

maazaa · 27/04/2006 15:37

whoops meant eWcm.......

Hopecat · 27/04/2006 15:40

A very early miscarriage.

maazaa · 27/04/2006 15:42

Oh no.....Sad

My apologies. Must be such a disappointment after all the symtoms etc.

Just a quickie to say thanks to trace2 for giving me the link to the CM website and also to coggy for her thoughts.

Good luck to you all and I hope you all get your babies soon!

trace2 · 27/04/2006 20:49

well cd 24 and started spotting, also my temp went down today too, so af on her way

coggy · 27/04/2006 21:16

Bummer to hear that af is arriving...but here's to our new beginnings with clomid Trace.
You're only a few days behind me so it'll be interesting to see how we both go.

trace2 · 27/04/2006 21:17

yes i know , been waiting for this do i take in the morning or night?

coggy · 27/04/2006 21:29

I don't know...took mine last night with a glass of wine!! Probably the worst thing ever to do I'll find out! But wanted to celebrate starting and also finish up wine as I am on a 100 day health kick from now!

trace2 · 27/04/2006 21:30

lol

trace2 · 27/04/2006 21:32

was going to ask if they have given you any side affects, but its to early i think

coggy · 27/04/2006 21:32

Also took it at night because my af was so light that I wanted to give it as much of day2 as I could - stupid? Probably!
I don't know why you take it on day 2 and not day 1...is it really significant?

Took tablet number 2 this afternoon and by the last tablet will probably be taking it in the morning - just because I will find it easier to remember!

Nobody's told me that it matters so I guess not.

coggy · 27/04/2006 21:35

When I had it before I don't think I had any side effects - none that I noticed anyway. I was a bit moody maybe at times but I think that was more to do with the stress of having to be in the right place and the right time with dh who always seemed to be somewhere else! On a course, at work, asleep on night duties......

I was surprised when I read the clomid thread and people had said about some side effects.
I will notice this time - a bit more aware of what's going on this time round.
