I hope nobody else has started a May conception thread; April isn't going to be it for me, so onwards and forwards ladies!

Ahhhh Peachy.....a fellow colleague.....!!!

pussycatmomma · 25/04/2006 17:52

sorry youve had a bad day chick, im sure the visiting dignatrys (sp) understand though, dont worry hun. mmmmmmm, wine!!! ive cut back so much lately, enjoy your glass (or 2!)!!!!!!!! we havent really said anything else about the meetup, it was just an idea trace and i had thats all. You could be just the person i need to talk to though, about egg signs and persona. Do you know if persona can be wrong about the egg sign/ovulation? how does it work exactly, because every other ovulation test says to test later in the day, whereas with your persona you do it with morning wee? am just doing tea for dh, cut the grass and basically being a v.good wife tonight in order to subconciously get him in the mood for bd later! x x x

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 17:53

Hi maazaa where are you and which age group?
I'm in croydon and teach yr 1 chidren with SEN - hence the vile day it was like a domino effect one started then they all joined in!
It was so bad that at the end of the day me and my staff scoffed a spare easter egg we have been saving!!!

maazaa · 25/04/2006 17:57

Can sympathise totally! Am head of year at secondary school in cambridgeshire! Glass of wine is medicinal at end of day - have tried to give up mid week wine, but failing miserably! Is a joke, really, as I'm not bothered about a drink at the weekend, so it must be stress related. Am really trying to chill out so in right frame of mind for tcc!

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 18:04

hmm pussycat I don't really know, I do know that you can ov without an egg sign I think persona likes the concentrated wee of the early morning. I don't think it can be wrong but it did give me very early eggs in my very first cycle with it and I ususally ov later(although last month it was early again)
I know it measures levels of Hormones
luenizing Hormone and oestrogen Eg3 and I think it is often over cautious with the red days as it is intended for contraception

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 18:04

mazaa one or two glasses is OK!

maazaa · 25/04/2006 18:12

I might just have a glass with my dinner....DH has gone away on business! Which is irritating as (TMI warning) pant examination implies I am getting into the highly fertile time. Which is confusing as I thought I was on Day 8! I give up!!!

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 18:16

are you sure it is stretchy? could it be (TMIBlush) leftovers from sex last night? sorry peachy cringes as she types

maazaa · 25/04/2006 18:20

Not sure, as new to all this mucus business!!!!! Will see tomorrow and hope it lasts until midnight Thursday when DH returns!!!

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 18:22

Did you look at the pictures on that site I think its really helpful - a sort of mucus for beginners!!

maazaa · 25/04/2006 18:24

yes - it was excellent. Am going to print out and stick to bathroom wall!!!!!!!!!! (note to self....remove before visitors arrive!). According to the picture it's ewcm, but hopefully will last a few days if that is the case. We are bding most nights anyway to be on the safe side! Just annoying that he has gone away now.

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 18:34

hmm yes that would make your visitors look twice as they sat in your loo

cazzybabs · 25/04/2006 19:32

Can I join you? :( but also :) because I get to join you.... was so sure I was as AF was 4 days late but am clearly not! Oh well here is to success in 14 days time!

cazzybabs · 25/04/2006 19:32

OMG are we all teachers - I teach in a prep school in Cambridge.

skerriesmum · 25/04/2006 20:29

Hi all, well as usual I'm trying not to get excited but at the same time it's always at the back of my mind! For instance, this is the third time this week I've snuggled my ds to sleep for his nap and fallen asleep myself, for over two hours! And I have so much to do I shouldn't be dozing during the day! Also I had a sharpish pain in my lower abdomen yesterday which should have been implantation day... maybe all these signs are nothing, who knows.
Roll on May when I'll know for sure!
xoxo sk

I'm a teacher too! I teach all over the place though. (I live near you, don't I Peachy).

Hopecat · 25/04/2006 20:38

Hey SM - crossed post. I'm getting excited too. Lots of symptoms. Oooh, it's so hard to wait.

cazzybabs: sorry to hear about your AF. Sad.

Welcome to the May thread!

maazaa · 25/04/2006 20:45

Teachers galore!!!!! much in common!

So, ladies....do you believe in fate.....?? further to my earlier studying of pants and complaints that if I am detecting ewcm, dh is away with work....
the flight was cancelled and he is on his way home!!!!!!!! :) Poor fella is delighted - not because of the potential baby-making opportunity, but because he can watch the footie and sleep in his own bed! How little does he know........ Wink

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 20:59

OMG Hopecat, Now thats just too freaky!! despite what it looks like I've not been on here all night! off now as CSI is on. Have a good day tomorrow everyone and good luck Maazaa hopefully he'll be back soon and raring to go!Wink

wannaBe1974 · 26/04/2006 08:21

morning all :)

Hope you're all ok this morning, sorry I've kind of lost track of who is on what day so don't know whether anyone due to test soon?

CD37 here, no af, am definitely not simptom spotting as feel this can only lead to disappointment, but one thing I've noticed is that I have spots, bloody loads of 'em! And I haven't had spots like that for .. since I was pg with ds tbh. Will test again tomorrow/Friday. Meantime though, I have a sore throat and not sure whether I can suck strepsils, anyone know?

Hopecat · 26/04/2006 10:01

Hi Wannabe. If in doubt. gargle with salt instead. Although it's not nice, it is sooting, and clears up topical infection too. Fingers crossed for your test tomorrow. Glad to hear you're feeling more positive!

Half this thread seems to be on CD22 today. Implantation day! Grin Watch those pants girls.

coggy · 26/04/2006 10:29

Hey...I am a ttc teacher too!!!
So many of us!

If it's of any use when I went to ante-natal class last year, 8 out of 9 of us were teachers. All conceived late August/early Septemeber...obviously chilled out after those luvverly looooooong summer holidays.
Grin

laughalot · 26/04/2006 11:53

Hopecat I thought if we are on day cd22 implatation should have happened by know am I wrong ?

Hopecat · 26/04/2006 11:58

Implantation usually occurs around CD22. It's when the zygote buries itself into the endometrial lining, which occasionally causes the implantation bleed.

Apparently.

Coggy: maybe the Easter holidays will have had the same magical effect. I had 3 weeks this year, and it felt great.

coggy · 26/04/2006 12:11

Unfortunately not so for me I'm afraid...CD2 today...freaky cycles the last two.
This one only 25 days...boo hoo......
