Just Shagging - JSers roll up for fred 12

Kittenkatzen · 01/11/2012 14:03

Oh, the other fred filled up all of a sudden! Oh well here's a new one....(horse feel free to replace if you want to be fred starter, just didn't want everyone in limbo!)

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Wine and Brew with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret, known only to....er....well, nobody as far as we can tell!
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit).
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Yep, midnight last night bless him.

Don't know, we're hoping for a 2014 wedding so will hopefully have had 1 dc by then but will just be a rush to lose the weight.

I'm an events organiser so in my head I want to get everything done as quickly as possible, but, also want to just enjoy it.

Although a few signs are pointing to a BFP this month (the dog, I had cramps a few days after my full flower and I have got a few spots (I've never had spots ever, not even as a teenager)) I've drunk way touch champagne over the last 24 hours Xmas Blush

We're also trying to save to buy a house but I have quite a bit of savings as I've been saving half my wages since I started working (age 17), so shouldn't be too bad, and I know how much catering and venues cost, so we should be ok (she says)

AndieClaus · 26/12/2012 10:47

Congrats Tuddles Xmas Grin

DP is working Christmas night shifts so I'm trying to keep the DCs quiet whilst he sleeps. CBeebies panto, Room on the Broom and copious Disney films are the order of the day.

Hope everyone's enjoying themselves.

DingDongBelle · 26/12/2012 11:01

Andie: DH has flu. So Tangled and Peppa are keeping mine quiet :)

ChristmasTuddles · 26/12/2012 15:53

Ooh, getting excited now, I've just eaten a whole bowl of melon (I don't like melon).

Did you both manage to keep DC suitably quiet?

I've decided that a champagne hangover is worse than a wine hangover. I'm sure that I was still drunk this morning when I woke up Xmas Blush

Redshoes56 · 26/12/2012 17:13

Congratulations, Tuddles! That's so exciting! Tenton any more confirmation?!

We had a lovely Christmas Eve and Christmas with my in-laws. I baked three different kinds of cookies and my MIL's favorite chocolate chip sour cream cake. Oh, and there was fudge. And regular food of course, too. I honestly don't want to look at another piece of food for the rest of the week. Stuffed.

We got in a nice holiday shag yesterday too. DH came up from the basement, where he was napping on the armchair with one of the cats, to inform me that he had just awoken from a dream during which his recently deceased brother, uncle and grandfather were yelling in unison, "She's fertile!" I don't know if that's funny or creepy, but I wasn't about to argue with the Three Wise Men. It certainly got him up and at 'em!

We dropped off gifts last night at his grandmother's, and I couldn't help but think she'd look adorable holding a great grandchild. 2013 has to be our year! Xmas Smile.

wavesandsmilesatSanta · 26/12/2012 18:24

Huge congratulations to you Tuddles ! Happy to hear that nice Christmasses have been enjoyed.

We had a lovely day yesterday at mum's, together with DSis, BIL, MIL, SIL and my DCs. Today we had everyone round here with our DSSs as well - so more gift exchanging and food consumption happened. Off on holiday tomorrow, so trying to manage last minute packing, and calming down over-excited children who need to be in bed early due to a 5am start tomorrow. Best of luck to all those waiting to PIAR or get some JSing in over the next week or so Grin

Rockchick1984 · 26/12/2012 23:09

Congratulations tuddles! We were planning on a long engagement before finding out I was upduffed with DS so ended up with a bit of a shotgun wedding Blush as I knew we would be very unlikely to get married after he arrived - was right about that as we used all our savings while I was on maternity leave, and I'm still not pre baby size so wouldn't want to get married with my current wobbly tummy!! Good incentive for you not to gain 5 stone like I did Blush

We haven't managed much Christmas shagging, stopped at my parent's house Xmas night and had a huge row today - mostly sorted now but I'm just not really in the mood after it all. Have bought some prenatal vitamins for us both, and I'm going to try and cut down on caffeine as me and DH are both coffee addicts!

Can I ask a question about contraband OPK'S? Do they actually do anything other than tell you the best day to DTD? Eg if we are shagging pretty much every day anyway would they be a waste of money?

ChristmasTuddles · 26/12/2012 23:15

We've just decided on a certain Saturday in may 2014.

Obviously depending on a dc arriving.

I guess that if you we're doing it pretty much everyday, they would be pointless.

ChristmasTuddles · 26/12/2012 23:17

Sorry, posted too soon.

As lovely as DP has been, he's currently laying next to me, snoring and farting away (to be fair to him, we have had 3 Christmas dinners since 1pm yesterday, do these people not realise that I have to wear a dress in just over a year)

cookielove · 27/12/2012 09:51

Congratulations Tuddles, 2014 a good year for a wedding, has a lovely ring to it Smile

ChristmasTuddles · 27/12/2012 11:10

Thanks cookie, we thought so too. And the particular date sounds good with 2014 too. And it means that we'll be on our honeymoon on our anniversary (that we got together, not wedding obviously)

cookielove · 27/12/2012 13:46

Ahhhhh i am loving that wedding feeling at the moment my beautiful sister in law to be is getting married in 2014 and also i just got married 3 months and 26 days ago, not that i am counting or anything. Was staring at my wedding dress on christmas day itching to get it on but my stinky brother wouldn't let me Grin

ChristmasTuddles · 28/12/2012 00:39

I'm slightly panicking now. We've got just under a year and a half, and I have no clue what I'm doing [crying and tearing hair out emoticon]

Rockchick1984 · 28/12/2012 09:39

Hi all, has anyone read "Taking Charge of your Fertility"? I ordered it a while ago very cheaply on eBay and it's just arrived. Any ideas if it's good? Forgot I'd ordered it to be honest, with all the Christmas madness!

cookielove · 28/12/2012 09:46

Tuddles - don't panic it will all be fine, i was engaged for 3 years and only started planning it about a year before we said i do, however i did mine cheap (not crappy) and cheerful well we kept in under 10 grand anyway, that doesn't sound cheap to me but then i am now poor cause i got married Grin

Rock chick - my sister has that, she was very much in the group i am trying for a baby so i will chart, temp e.t.c from day one, i am more in the group of whatever happens and happens Smile thats cause i am lazy

DingDongBelle · 28/12/2012 10:39

Um... Looks like my friend was right... Faint faint faint and ertd not due til the 2nd (ok, I caved) but I fainted in tesco yesterday so poa-FRER just five mins ago and there are definitely two lines... Grin

cookielove · 28/12/2012 10:46

Yay, i am so happy for you Ding Grin Grin

DingDongBelle · 28/12/2012 11:23

Squeeee... I keep staring at it Grin Faint but definitely there. Got a bfn on a cheapie yesterday then faint bfp on the frer this morning. One more in the box... Want to try and resist until day after tomorrow. DH agrees - line faint but there. Am in shock :)

DingDongBelle · 28/12/2012 11:24

Ps: Tenton how you doing?

GaryBuseysTeeth · 28/12/2012 13:21

Congrats Ding!! Your friend should start up a business!

Congrats on the engagement Tuddles, we had a cheap, small wedding (didn't want to get into debt over one day, I am so romantic) but the best piece of advice is never mention the word 'Wedding' to cake people/caters etc.

Any update Tenton?

8wks tomorrow, had successful private scan & phoning MW on Monday to book in, arrrgh!!

Rock, that book was really useful to me (ordered it after mc as I was charting the month I got this bfp), so hope it helps you!
If you're shagging every other day, OPK's are useless...fun fact; this egg was implanted 48hrs-ish after we'd last had sex!

Has Kitten NC-ed? Looks like she's not been on for ages, hope she's alright.

Elektra83 · 28/12/2012 14:00

Congratulations Tuddles! We got married at the beginning of December and it was beautiful, definitely worth the stress! You will be fine, we managed to plan/execute the wedding within this year alone.

I have to admit, planning/organising the civil ceremony was FAR easier than the Hindu one! Smile

Redshoes56 · 28/12/2012 15:02

Shut up, ding! YAY! That is fantastic Grin

Good to see you, Gary, thanks for the update! I am relieved to hear that your egg implanted so quickly - gives hope to those (me) with short luteal phases. Is that something you learned via your chart or through scan of some sort?

caramal · 28/12/2012 15:24

Name: Cara
Age: 22
location: Birmingham
Any DC: almost two year old DS
TTC for: 1 month

Back on the Fred! Officially TTC now so biting my nails to try not to POAS every 5 minutes!

Kittenkatzen · 28/12/2012 15:27

Hello :) I'm still here! Sorry I abandoned you all for a while there....i started down the road to ttc madness which made me feel like a bit of a JSing imposter...compounded by a pg announcement by my SIL early this month AngryEnvy:(

Anyways, I've given myself a hooya and think I've pretty much drunk myself sane pulled myself together again, so I'm back if you'll have me, and will forgive the odd contraband opk :o

I must have a ton of catching up to do, so for now I will offer up sweeping congratulations to any BFPers, pass Wine to all who've been got by ertd, and will be off to read up on what I've missed.

Oh, and merry christmas :o

AndIfATenTonTruck · 28/12/2012 16:42

I'm here... congrats Ding, now What were we saying about being POAS buddies on NYD???

I have just got home from being at my parents for Christmas. It's not the right time of day but I have a bag ful of internet cheapies downstairs, and I need a wee. Who wants me to PIAR?

welcome, Cara !!
