Just Shagging - JSers roll up for fred 12

Oh, the other fred filled up all of a sudden! Oh well here's a new one....(horse feel free to replace if you want to be fred starter, just didn't want everyone in limbo!)

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Wine and Brew with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret, known only to....er....well, nobody as far as we can tell!
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit).
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Got mine on my second 'proper' cycle. No ov strips or anything for me. But I reeeaally wanted it this month (cos of teacher holidays ha ha) so we made a big effort and did it every day or eod from cd4 right through to cd21. I only put my bum on a pillow once (DH wants a girl) but I did go to sleep straight after every time. Literally just shagging for me. DH has been preening at his virility [bless]

I'm staying here too if that's ok. So early days and I want to hang on. Have told the pils (as we live with them ATM and they were all Hmm at me fainting and being sick) and my dsis as she's my bestie. Might tell my momma tomorrow when I see her see seriously no willpower

ahh, scotland, I should have guessed by the fort part! I can imagine it being beautiful there waves, I've never been to scotland, but dh is off in January for work (incidently it also happens to coinside with the week that we are moving house. 2 children, no dh, miles away from friends and family, doing it all on my own. yea thats going to work...but thats a whole other rant!)

Hi all Andie my previous "public" faint was in B and Q so definitely a step up! addicted, fort william is north west scotland - right by Ben Nevis. Very wet down here, but beautiful snow covered mountains to look at Smile

tenton it was my cycle 2 of trying as well that I got a BFP.... Sticking around here until after the 12 week scan, although I have stuck my head into the grads fred a couple of times!

Waterproof trousers beckon - need to walk off our HUGE breakfast and tire out the DCs so that they get an early night (so I can get one too)

More than 7, frogs! But those must have been the ones that counted.

I used the One Step ov strips. You use them some time between 10am and 8pm, definitely not using fmu because the hormone is only produced when you start getting up for the day. Because the loos at work are not very conducive to using a cup/ramekin/whatever and you can't pee on the stick directly, I chose 6pm when I got in from work. The day which I now think was ov day the strip only just showed the LH line nearly as dark as the control line. I think that if I had done it earlier in the day it might have been clearer, but I wasn't doing it to say "we've got to get at it now now now!!!" Just to understand when ovulation might have been. But after that day the strips showed a complete blank, so I think it was a very short sharp ovulation.

I appear to have done a semi-kitten and got a BFP on cycle 2 of trying Blush... Hope it sticks. Will hang around here though I think, bit scared of grads thread.

waves I meant to say, your fainting spot seems ten times more glamourous than any of mine, a particular highlight was in the Money Shop changing some Euros. Ahhhh, the memories.lol

Very very pleased for all you ladies with BFPs and only slightly jealous
I made a huge chocolate cake yesterday so will eat that in celebration for you/consolation for me. Grin

DP has gone to work away for three days so I'm glad we got some JSing in the last few days as I'm now entering green week on my calendar (or green fortnight as my crazy cycles have it confused.lol)

Hope everyone's weekend has been good.

Also, a question about opks, altho I'm not using them.... Once you've ovulated, does the stick go blank straight away or do they fade away gradually??

Report
frogchops · 29/12/2012 23:35

So was that 7 shags during the cycle or were they just the ones that counted!? I'm sure were just not doing it enough!

Report
AndIfATenTonTruck · 29/12/2012 23:07

Well I used ov sticks but only to understand when ovulation actually was, it didn't control when we went for a shag!! Which was, incidentally, cycle days 8,11,12,13,15,17,18 and then the ov sticks went all blank so it was just for fun from then on. Looking back at the faint ov positive, it was day 12, slightly earlier than halfway. No idea if they were mornings, nights, middle of the day... A mixture I think! Also, quite a few bum-on-pillow rests after.

Good luck for the new year everyone, it's nice to close out this thread on a bit of a high!

Tuddles, if you're planning on spending big bucks I'd get it. So many horror stories of people getting food poisoning/photographers being rubbish & 'ruining' the day.
We spent £1.5k on Wedding (£600 of that was rings, another £400 was DH's outfit, my dress cost me £17!) so there wasn't any point for us.

((notso)), hope it happens for you soon.

Anyone heard from hooya recently?

Christmas/New Yearish BFPs! Woooo!!! Not meant to be here - on holiday in a very wet Fort William and using a bit of free wi-fi. However, absolutely shattered after a really long and wet walk today and getting to bed soon. Dates wise I am 10 weeks pg tomorrow, but I think the scan will give us more of an idea. Fainted in Glen Nevis today, certainly the most scenic location so far for my blackouts Smile

Christmastuddles we never had insurance on our wedding, but a lot of components were gifts and the venue, church and vicar was free so it only cost us just under £500. However if we were paying £0000's then we would have done.

ChristmasTuddles · 29/12/2012 12:01

That's what I was thinking MrsBri, in the grand scheme of things it's likely to be the cheapest thing that we pay for for the wedding
