Sorry, crap post. I'm staying at a friends house so was trying to post between drinking wine, eating pizza, having a conversation and watching a film.
Will do better tomorrow!

cartoontrickster · 15/01/2013 12:43

anyone else had to have 2 cyclogest at night?

mollieboo · 15/01/2013 14:26

No, I only take the one cyclogest a night.

I know I'm probably being stupid, but I did another clearblue digital test today, a week later, and it hasn't moved on from 2-3 weeks. I'm now 5.4 weeks so I thought it would say 3+, got a scan on Thursday and am worrying myself now. Has anyone had this problem and then went on to have a successful 6 week scan?

Arianrhod · 15/01/2013 14:42

cartoon I do, whenever I'm pregnant. Louise just told me it was ok to take them both together, rather than having to take one in the morning and one at night.

mollie As evidenced by several of us in previous parts of this thread, those digital tests are notoriously unreliable and cause more heartache than they ease. Personally I have vowed never to go anywhere near one ever again! If you read around other sites, you'll see endless reports of false readings from these things. They're the work of the devil, in my not-so-humble opinion, and should be regarded with extreme scepticism and suspicion!

Going back to lurk under my rock ...

cartoontrickster · 15/01/2013 14:44

mollie I don't think there always that accurate.
I had a small bit of Brown cm this morning and Louise has said to use 2 cyclogest Shock a time.

cartoontrickster · 15/01/2013 15:00

didn't see your post before arianrhod I was getting my self in a panic! but maybe 2 is not so bad. and worth it if it helps.

Arianrhod · 15/01/2013 15:19

It's quite common cartoon, I've known lots of ladies who take 2 cyclogest.

mollieboo · 15/01/2013 15:37

Thanks ari, been googling away and they do seem notoriously unreliable. I am addicted to them as whenever the weeks have reduced in previous pregnancies I know I've been heading for an mc, but yes they are the work of the devil and do cause terrible anxiety, argh!
cartoon hope you're feeling ok and not worrying too much.

cartoontrickster · 15/01/2013 17:37

u too mollie had a bit of a cry which made me feel better if worked myself up so much. its just a waiting game I guess

roseandroli · 15/01/2013 18:46

Hey cartoon, don't worry about the 2 cyclogest, lots of people take it. If Louise has said to take two, it can't be bad. Hi mollie hope you're not too worried about the cbd, I swore off them after they started driving me crazy with my last two pregnancies. How was your scan?

Fx to all who are waiting to get through those crucial first few weeks. It is so nerve wracking and I can't believe how slowly the days are going...

mollieboo · 16/01/2013 14:31

Hiya, how is everyone doing today?

rose thanks, Louise at the clinic told me not to test any more, in her opinion all the tests do is cause more anxiety. Sensible, she probably gets so fed up of anxious, nutty women like me asking her for advice. I used my last test this morning and won't buy any more, I wish they didn't exist. My scan is tomorrow, yes time goes extremely slowly at this stage. I started off quite calm but am getting more and more anxious leading up to the scan. I'll only be 5w6d so I know I can't expect to see a heartbeat, but I hope there is some good news of development since last week. Has anyone else had a scan at this stage?

cartoon hope you're doing ok.

Hello to everyone else too x

cartoontrickster · 16/01/2013 14:38

I'm practically emailing Louise daily with some question or other I think she must be sick of me. well 2 cyclogest gave me a dickie tummy so since the Brown blood has stopped been told to go back to one. still 2wks till my scan.
hope everyone is well. one day at a time ladies Smile

mollieboo · 16/01/2013 15:14

Yes one day at a time, we are PUPO. I'm glad the spotting has stopped, what a relief and two cyclogest must have been a bit much on the system!

roseandroli · 16/01/2013 17:50

I thought I was the only one writing to Louise every day! So relieved to know I'm not the only one!
mollie I will be thinking of you tomorrow as you go for your scan.
I was a total wreck at my scan last week. I nearly chewed DH's arm off when I was in there waiting for the doctor to come in. He actually sang me a song to calm me down!
cartoon so glad to hear your spotting has stopped and you can go back to one cyclogest. It's pretty potent stuff.

Yes, one day at a time! This is my mantra.

cartoontrickster · 16/01/2013 19:22

pupo? anyway good luck with tomorrows scan mollie
rose did u have spotting too? has it stopped?

cartoontrickster · 16/01/2013 20:36

Oooo positive until proven otherwise, I just realised! silly me Grin

TheAccidentalExhibitionist · 16/01/2013 21:41

Roseandroli that's the nicest thing, your doctor sang you a song to calm you down?

roseandroli · 17/01/2013 03:36

accidental, it wasn't my doctor, it was my husband! That would've been hilarious, I might have been shocked into submission.
cartoon I have had brown spotting on and off the entire time, sometimes quite a bit. Trying not to panic about it. Scan didn't show anything untoward, so I'm just hoping it's one of those things (implantation, old blood, etc).

teaandchoc · 17/01/2013 09:55

morning all,

can i join the gang please! i've been lurking for a bit and have found the thread so inspiring and helpful. what a lovely bunch of ladies you are.

i'm with mr s and have had humira (one injection) for high tnf alpha (which is now low thankfully), plus one cycle on pred and a bfp that sadly led to bleeding at 6w (despite intralipids, etc.). it obviously just wasn't meant to be and i'm now anxious to get going again...

i just wondered if anyone else has had a chemical pregnancy/mc on the treatment and if you waited a cycle (as i've been advised to do) before ttc again?

congrats to those with a new bfp - hope my post doesn't add to the stress of the early days/weeks. i'm trying to think my recent bad luck is just an anomaly. it's all such a rollercoaster ride...

duggs1976 · 17/01/2013 10:03

Hello new ladies. . .and waves to everyone else. I've been lurking for the past couple of months as have been taking a break from pred, super ovulation and had a well deserved long holiday in Sydney! Hideous past few years on this journey as most of us on here have. Anyway no AF so did a first response today and have a faint line, but def a pink line. So - my first (apart from failed IVF last march) since starting dr S programme sep 2011. Going to neck a load of pred tonight as not been taking it for a while now and cross my fingers/legs and join you early BFP folk.

cartoontrickster · 17/01/2013 11:31

congrats duggs.
I've had a small amount of pink blood this morning. its so hard not to panic.

13Iggis · 17/01/2013 11:45

Duggs - really pleased for you, and everything crossed Smile
Teanchoc - if it's any help, I had a

mollieboo · 17/01/2013 11:54

Hi Everyone

rose your dh sounds so sweet singing you a song when you were nervously waiting for your scan! Haha yes a doctor singing to you would have been hilarous!

cartoon I've heard some of the girls on here say 'pupo' as in pregnant until proven otherwise, its a good saying, if I start panicking I think well I am pupo!

Welcome teaandchoc, don't worry about worrying me, I'm aware of what might happen so just taking it day to day. I did wait a month after my last mc on the advice of Mr Shehata. Its so hard not to try when you know you're ovulating but I thought I'd do the sensible thing so that I had more chance of a pregnancy working out.

duggs welcome back, hope the holiday was fab. Congrats on your bfp :-)

I had a scan this morning, it was too early to see anything except a sac, although it had grown since last week. I wouldn't bother going until 6-7 weeks next time as it can just cause worry going too early and not being able to see anything even though there may be nothing wrong. Will try not to worry now while I wait a week for another scan!

cartoontrickster · 17/01/2013 12:11

sorry mollie I completely forgot about ur scan. how many weeks are u? louise doesn't want to see me before 7wks. I was wondering why people were getting earlier ones than me. but I'm kinda glad as I know how unreassuring they can be when things are so early its normal not to see much.
I've had 2 mmcs (not with Mr s's treatment) had spotting off and on through out the first and none the second so I know exactly what you mean and I'm trying not to read to much into it. at the moment it seems to stop as quickly as it came and really is a very small amount.

Arianrhod · 17/01/2013 12:27

Oh duggs, that's fantastic news. I'm so crossing my fingers/toes/ears/eyes for you!

teaandchoc Welcome to the thread, and to the rollercoaster that is this journey. I've had CPs/early MCs while under Mr S and I've only been told to wait a month once, but that's mostly down to my age. If he's suggested waiting a month I'd do it if you can, it's good to let your hormones 'reset' themselves.

cartoon As the others have said, spotting can mean absolutely nothing at all. Like iggi I have had spotting with MCs and I have had no spotting with MCs, and lots of ladies have spotting with successful pregnancies, some right throughout. So, I think all we can definitely state is that spotting tells us absolutely feck all, unfortunately.

mollie Ah early scans are such a head f*ck .. you want to see something useful, but very often there's nothing useful to set your mind at ease. Hope the next one gives you a bit more helpful news!

choccy How are you doing, are you getting prepped for your IVF yet?

/waves to everyone
