2ww over for me. AF arrived during the night Sad. Really pee'd off with it today. backache and cramps too.

Oh well, on the positive side, only 2 weeks til the next 2ww! Lucky, DH has come round to the idea of continuing ttc Smile

Good luck to the rest of you ladies soon due to test.

rubles · 10/06/2006 12:59

Oh I'm sorry to hear that Ruthlouise Sad
I hope it doesn't ruin your weekend and maybe the sun will help you forget your disappointment.

Glad dh is onside tho'. It is good when you feel you are both pulling in the same direction together.

ruthlouise · 10/06/2006 15:27

Thanks Rubles. Its just that blooming biological clock isn't it and I so wanted a small gap between our daughter and her sibling. I know I'm very lucky to have her and she is gorgeous.

I'll be fine. Its just worrying me 'cos there's quite a bit of 'tissue' again (sorry if TMI). Had the same last month which was first after M/C but thought that would have cleared everything. Don't really want to go to GP but not sure if this is normal especially as I had normal labour and delivery with Isaac. The placenta was delivered normally too so its worrying me in case there's actually something else wrong with me iyswim. Did it take anyone else here a while to return to normal AF's?

rubles · 10/06/2006 17:20

Oh don't talk to me about small gaps between children!! It is the thought of the gap between dd and the next one that gets me in a panic every time. I left it quite late between them because of financial reasons, then i had the m/c and now here I am still ttc. dd will be 3 at this rate.

Re: the tissue. I know you were a lot further on than me so maybe things are different but I didn't pass any further tissue after the m/c @ 9 weeks. I think a cautionary visit to the doctor might be a good idea, because if it is tissue that you are passing things can't be right (can they?) and you might be at risk of infection.

My SIL got an infection after c/s from retained bits of placenta which wasn't discovered until nearly 4 months later!

babyfettle · 10/06/2006 19:43

RuthLouise - so sorry to hear about AF.Sad Think I'll be joining you there in next couple days. Been spotting for 2 days, with AF-like cramping pains. Was so positive about this cycle, but obviously not our time. Nothing wrong with an at least 3.5 year gap is there?

As for your tissue loss, I would double-check all is ok with GP. I lost a lot of tissue in the 8 weeks I was bleeding following my 1st ERCP and when they finally scanned me, they found some retained products, so I had to have another ERCP, which cleared everything up very quickly. My last and 1st AF since mc was very very heavy, but I didn't notice any obvious tissue loss (TMI I know, but just trying to help!).

Take careSmile

klou · 11/06/2006 19:36

got my BFP!!!
so those cramping signs where not period signs....tested day 32 and a definate 2nd line!!

Angsthase · 11/06/2006 19:58

Klou - big congrats to you.GrinGrin

Thats what the girls want - more BFP's!!!

Still waiting to start ttc again, so fingers crossed. Smile

ruthlouise · 11/06/2006 22:13

Congratulations Klou Grin. Please leave your spare babydust when you move up!

Babyfettle, No there's nothing wrong with a bigger gap. Both small and large gaps have their advantages. Its just that I would have liked to have two close together so they would hopefully be 'close' if that makes sense? I read that the best gaps were either less than 2 years apart or more than 3 years to reduce chances of sibling rivalry. If I fell pg next month, I'd have a 2yr 8 month gap between the two of them! Children do tend to get more individual attention with larger age gaps though.

oinker · 12/06/2006 08:46

CONGRATULATIONS KLOU

Excellent news...........

Lets have some more. xx

rubles · 12/06/2006 08:46

Klou, I am so pleased for you, you must be delighted Grin. I remember reading on your other thread that you went for blood tests and you weren't sure what the result meant with regards to whether you ovulated...well you obviously did!!

That made me wonder if the act of taking yourself to the doctor for outside help made something click psychologically and helped your body to conceive??

DebbsyandBibby · 12/06/2006 09:18

just wanted to say congrats to klou

weewilliewinkie · 12/06/2006 11:21

Congratulations klou - you must be delighted! Grin - here's hoping that we get many more bfp's very soon, ladies!

On cd24. Been temping and my temps seem quite high post ov. Trying not to get hopeful though. Af due on Fri/Sat. I will not test till then! Feeling so so tired, but putting that down to ds keeping me up at night. It's so hot no-one can sleep properly - and the weather may be another reason for my high temps. Just getting to that time of the month when every twinge I feel I'm wondering what it could be. Drives me mad.

Found out at the weekend that another friend is pg. Brought me down a bit, even though I'm genuinely pleased for her. I would've been 31 weeks by now. Can't think too much about that or I'd go nuts.

Hope everyone else is well....haven't read the thread properly for a while - what cd is everyone on? Who's next to test?

Nicola63 · 12/06/2006 11:58

Glad to see an other bfp, very best of luck. I got AF on Saturday, it was expected as the surguical procedure meant I was very unlikely to conceive this month. So am now very much hoping for this month.

Going to the GP this afternoon to give them feedback on everything that has happened in the last few months (as the ERCP and subsequent investigations have all been done in a private hospital not NHS). Carrying on with aspirin, thyroid hormones, trying to be healthy (although got very drunk on Saturday after I realised AF had arrived and I could do so...! Not a very clever move. Horrible the next day!).

klou · 12/06/2006 12:07

Thanks so much everyone.
Rubles - yes that was me posting about the 21 day test and my results.i am thankful to all who replyed to my progesterone test result - but - it was a bit hard to read them as the general opinion was that my levels where way too low for ovulation let alone a pregnancy! and here i am with a positive result!!
also - agree with you rubles - going to see the doctor made me feel well if there is a problem lets get it sorted now rather than later and the strss was reduced.also - i had started an intensive work out routine, and was 1 week into it!! it was fully paid for, luckily the instructor will give me my money back pro-rata!!

rubles · 12/06/2006 13:46

babyfettle - how are you doing - are you around or have you banned yourself from MN in the interests of your sanity?

You're due AF tomorrow aren't you?. Are you still getting cramping? Good luck. Smile

After babyfettle, if I remember rightly it's weewilliewinkie who is due on Friday/Saturday and then Time4tea on Sunday/Monday then me on Monday/Tuesday. Let me know if I've missed anyone?

COME ON GIRLS!!!

bobbynog · 12/06/2006 15:02

Congratulations klou!
How is everyone else - i have everything crossed for you! I am off to the doctors tonight, to speak about pregnancy and ask for an early scan - still haven't dared to join the other threads yet! I need some friends to come with me!

Smole · 12/06/2006 15:44

Congratulations Klou!

babyfettle · 12/06/2006 19:40

Hello - I'm here - been hovering for last couple of days thinking about posting, but then thinking must keep clear!!

First of all, congratulations Klou, so happy for you - hope all goes well with youSmile

As for me, not quite sure what is going on. Have had spotting since Friday pm, which turned to more like light bleeding on sat and sun and today. But nowhere near what I would expect from AF. [TMI, I know!] My temp was still up this am, but not quite as high as it has been, but it was about 45 mins earlier than I normally take it. My AF pains have stopped, but feel incredibily bloated/colicky (don't normally feel bloated around AF time). My boobs were enormous last week, but have shrunk again now. And finally have been feeling pretty nauseous from time to time since middle of last week. And I'm exhausted. So as you can tell, I'm pretty confused!Grin I caved in and did a first response test at 6am on Sunday morning, but it BPN.Sad But then I wasn't really awake, so may not have done it completely properly, also only due tomorrow at the earliest, could even not be til Thursday so may have been too early. But if I was getting pg signs, you would think the HCG level would be high enough.

Help me girls! Up and until the light red bleeding, I was so convinced this was going to work, but as my boobs have shrunk again, most of the other symptoms (high temps, tiredness, nausea) could be put down to this hot weather. I also had such a ridiculously heavy AF last month, that perhaps it is not unusual to have a really light one this time around.

Anyway, I'll keep you updated, but I'm not feeeling too hopeful anymore and think I should just accept that it is not going to happen at the moment. DH is off a week on Sunday, so I'll have 4 months to lose the 2-3 stone that I seem to have put on since we got married and had DDShock, so we can start trying again in November.

As you said RuthLouise, now I've missed the 2 year gap, I think more than 3 years is probably better and if miraculously we conceive in November, that will make it 3.5 year gap.

Blimey, gone on a bit long - I'll let you know how the next couple of days pan out, but don't bank on me bolstering our BPF rate this month!

Hope everyone else is doing wellSmile

rubles · 12/06/2006 22:17

I'm sorry babyfettle. That is just so confusing for you. Something odd hormonally is going on - whether it is pregnancy or that your pmt symptoms have changed is anyone's guess at this stage, though. (I have noticed over the past few cycles that I get a bit of nausea for the week leading up to AF which I didn't get before m/c - it is very confusing).

But your AF isn't late yet, so the only thing you can do is wait (she says, stating the bleeding obvious! sorry), and probably try not to test until AF is actually late.
Lets see what tomorrow brings xx

time4tea · 12/06/2006 22:18

great news Klou, I'm really delighted - good luck to you with this pregnancy. and hope the GP chat went well Bobbynog.

babyfettle, when I was pregnant with DS (now 2 and a bit) I had some light implantation bleeding the first month, in fact I was 10 weeks pregnant before I twigged what was going on, because I thought there was no way I could be pregnant because of lack of BD'ing (I was having a difficult time with family/work stress and it wasn't on my mind...)so you never know.... but as you say it could just be the weather.

keeping fingers crossed for all on 2ww

babyfettle · 13/06/2006 07:46

Morning all - temp down to basal level this am, so assume AF will arrive properly todaySad

Oh well, these things happen. I'll pop back later to say good bye properlySmile

have a good day everyoneSmile

oinker · 13/06/2006 08:11

babyfettle............

Don't give up hope.

Where are you going? Why leave?

I am not allowed to try until at least August (I think)or longer and will be staying on here just for the chats and the encouragement when someone is successful.Smile

weewilliewinkie · 13/06/2006 09:29

babyfettle - please don't give up! or at least don't say goodbye! You could still come here for chats...we all need to stick together!

As for me - well, I'm 99.99% sure that AF is on it's way...having a bit of cm which I understand precedes AF...temp went up this morning though. But it did that last month too.Got very very down last night, surprising dh - don't think he realised how hacked off this whole process is making me. Many many tears and snotty noses later, and I feel a bit better this morning. You've just got to get on with it, don't you?

rubles · 13/06/2006 09:49

www - I have started a thread about CM in the 2 week wait. I am hoping more people will post there to get a picture for what happens to other people etc.

Going on CM isn't really scientific enough to mean anything either way so don't get too down already, but having said that I went through a similar train of thought myself last night too, so I am noone to talk.

bobbynog · 13/06/2006 09:53

Babyfettle - don't give up yet - i was 100 % positive my af was on the way. Repeat the test when it is definately late.
Doctor was a complete * - i can't think of a word! I got the feeling that he couldn't be bothered with me - there were no words of encouragement, or any positive vibes. ANd i can't get an early scan - he told me the NHS resources were already over stretched. Thanks for that, but i did have a miscarriage, apart from the actual scan, and the procedure have not been seen by anyone, so i have not strectched their resources at all. Anyway DH and i have decided to go to a private hospital for a scan as i don't think i will be able to cope with the not knowing.
Rant over - have a good day everyone
