I'm a POAS a holic too, have ordered my billions from internet Grin
Pink evaporation lines drive me nuts
I have no self control and I hate myself - worse as I always give up alcohol for two weeks as well! Just in case :)

weewilliewinkie · 06/06/2006 16:53

I'm not giving ip alcohol, for once! I usually do, just in case....but this week I have a night out planned so I'll have a few glasses of vino collapso....

I figure that if I act like I really believe I'm not pg, then I will be. Reverse psychology, or something like that...Wink

Just got the Toni Weschler fertility book from Amazon - time for a good read...happened to open at the pictutes of cf. Ewwwwwww!!!

oinker · 06/06/2006 20:04

Sorry..
Should have posted earlier.

All went well. Had a further scan which show fibroids have decreased in size. They still may operate though. Apparently, it would be quite a nice easy op to do!!!! The doctors were really nice. Didn't get to see Lesley Regan though she popped in and said hello whilst we were having blood tests.
Have a further appointment in 5 weeks for bloods and then 2 wks later will be told what their intentions are. We have been told that we must not have sex after my first period.Shock They have lodsa tests to do. DH is not happy...
Was also told that previus bloods taken showed really good results. Though time is against me(38) Doc says my fertility is brilliant it's equivilant to that of someone in their early twenties..... COOL.. Smile
I am feeling a little more relaxed now... Smile

Arabica · 06/06/2006 21:32

rubles · 07/06/2006 09:07

Oinker, can't you have sex with a condom though if you are extra careful and don't do it in your fertile time? It seems a bit harsh to ban it altogether. I'm very impressed with your high fertility btw, it all sounds very good.

oinker · 07/06/2006 10:05

Thanks for all your messages..

Rubles, Dh tried that one.... The condom is a no no too. Accidents do happen. I may try and work out my non fertile days. I don't know if I can be bothered. I have had two years of doing the opposite and just wanted some chill out time.

rubles · 07/06/2006 10:17

Oh, well, sod it then and have a nice month off. Give yourself a break. I guess there is always non-penetrative sex, which may seem a welcome novelty after ttc for a while! Or maybe you're not even allowed to do that, what with your 20 year old's fertility levels?? In fact, are you even allowed to look at your dh?

oinker · 07/06/2006 10:20

Oh, forgot to mention..

I now have my internet access back at work!!! Smile

weewilliewinkie · 07/06/2006 11:22

Great news oinker! Any tips on getting a 20 year old's fertility levels?Smile And internet access at work too! What do you work as?

I must just say that I am ridiculously fascinated with my new Toni Weschler book. It's great bedtime reading! Highly recommend it.

Smole · 07/06/2006 11:45

Great new oinker.

Well if AF hadn't arrived on Sunday I'd have sworn I was suffering from morning sickness since Monday!! I've gone right off my food!

babyfettle · 07/06/2006 15:23

Sounds great news Oinker - def agree you and DH ought to stop holding hands!!GrinGrin

After BD-ing every other day from CD5 to CD29, I'm quite pleased for the rest myself, IYKWIMWink

Vowed I was going to stay away from here for a few days, to stop myself obsessing during 2ww, but can't help myself.Smile

Hope everyone is getting a chance to enjoy this beautiful weather - long may it last Grin

spub · 07/06/2006 15:32

Oinker,
me old mucker. Very pleased to hear your latest news.Lots of love and hugs and best of best of luck.
Hope the rest of you lovelies on this thread graduate to the pg threads soon. I was one of Oinker's companions on this thread after a m/c almost exactly a year ago. I'm currently 36 weeks pg. It's a sore, hard journey sometimes but I really hope that you are all holding your babies by this time next year.

slinkstah · 07/06/2006 17:35

oinker · 08/06/2006 14:02

Thanks for all your messages. Smile Smile Smile

I just have a couple more tests to do b 4 my hols on 28th July.... Smile By the time I get back I will have a couple of days wait and then my appointment.
I was quite angry with myself the other day as I miscalculated the holiday dates. I could have had an appointment a week earlier. Sad Never mind at least I have managed to get my foot in the door.

How is everyone doing on here today.... This weather is gorgeous. I am so glad that I am on restricted hours at work. I have been starting at 0700 ish and finishing at 1100 on the dot. I am in the pool an hour later. I have done this all week. It's fab. Smile

Will be up to 5 hrs a day next week!!!! I will try and keep the swimming up. The doc tested my BMI the other day and it is far too high!!! Sad

oinker · 08/06/2006 14:02

Who's due to test next?

Nicola63 · 08/06/2006 14:21

I'm due for AF within the next 5 days or so, but have no real hopes for this month as I had a hysteroscope and division of some scar tissue just before ovulation time and so lost a lot of lining, so implantation would be unlikely. Not impossible, though, But I'm not going to bother with obsessing about testing this month, have just acepted that's a lost month, be glad I had the scars looked at and the uterus opened up, and hope for the best next month!

Am also loving the weather (I'm in London) although yesterday spent 4 hours on the road in a non air-conditioned car which was no fun. Got home in a terribly bad mood and with a headache, but DH whisked me off to the pub (we have a local one with an outdoor area) and everything got better!

time4tea · 08/06/2006 18:02

I'm due AF on 18 or 19 June, a little while yet.

Oinker, I'm also on the podgy side - BMI only just hanging in on the "overweight" zone, was verging on obese... Blush. The last few weeks I was pregnant I really piled on pounds, through eating through tiredness and constant nibbling to keep nausea at bay. I was just about to get a few maternity clothes to accommodate this when the miscarriage was diagnosed at the 12 week scan. Amazing how the hormones kept pumping even though the baby was gone Sad. I looked over the Trinny and Susannah rules and got myself some nice new flattering outfits - a good bit of retail therapy - and am doing well on the GI diet. I lost about 3 stone with that after DS was born. I really recommend GI diet - I feel great, don't feel miserable or deprived (with Weightwatchers I was fantasising about food constantly!) it is all healthy & tasty stuff and the weight drops off at 2/3 lbs a week. Plus with some reasonably cheap new outfits (M&S do some nice linen stuff in bigger sizes) I don't feel too self-conscious.

sorry to go on about weight issues - v tedious - but I wanted to share what worked for me. I read that being a good weight does help with conception, and being a bit slimmer helps with general energy and especially confidence and friskiness for BD'ing, so worth going for with a smile (rather than being miserable on a diet - all too easy) Wink

ruthlouise · 09/06/2006 17:58

Hi ladies

Couldn't resist testing but BFN'd yesterday when I think AF was due, still no sign of AF but keep thinking its on the way. I assume I'd return to my normal cycles and it was 14 days since OV. Will test again tomorrow if no AF but didn't think we BD'd on best days last month so trying not to get my hopes up. Will keep you posted...

klou · 09/06/2006 18:05

i'm on day 30, had a negative result on day 26, cycles are normally 30 days, i've had all the usual signs - cramping etc, but so far no AF. I read here ages ago that one lady was gutted as she had all the familiar signs of af coming, and fully expected it - but turned out she was pregnant! has that happened to anyone else? or am i just clutching at straws - AGAIN!!!

babyfettle · 09/06/2006 19:54

Klou - not much help me, as I'm clutching at the same straws!! Have had slight cramping for last 3 days and very light spotting today. But don't think AF due til Tuesday at the earliest, so got a while yet to hold out.

So so want it to be our cycle, will be gutted if we don't make it, as we won't get another chance til November, so trying to let myself down gently.

Fingers-crossed for everyone else on a 2ww.Smile

rubles · 09/06/2006 20:03

Gosh I didn't realise there were so many of you close to af/testing. I really hope you are all of you in luck this time. fingers crossed. xx
