Thanks bobbynog - very helpful! I've stocked up on the sunflower seeds and am sipping green tea as I write...don't know about cutting caffeine out altogether though - I at least need my cup of tea in the morning to get me going...I've been takin folic acid for ages now, but will start on the zinc and selenium too. Hopefully I'll get super-fertile and announce my triplet pregnancy within the next 6 weeks!

K1K2 · 22/05/2006 16:27

Sorry I didn't formally introduce myself the other day, bit drunk and v. tired and emotional. Thanks to WWW and Ruth for your concern and wishes. I was 9 weeks pre mc. What horrible times people are having at the moment I know it will be up and down for a lot of us-

Rubles what a horrible time you must have had at the wedding, very well done for holding yourself at the table of baby chat, I don't what I would have done if I had heard all that...

Oinker I feel so much for you. Today was a bad day for me too. No friends as yet giving birth , but one is due on Thursady in my DS post natal group. Today I went in for a second scan and had bloods taken to confirm mc. All I could see around me were magazines articles on babies, women with more than one child walking around at the hospital & I went downhill from there. I wasn't feeling well either physically, as I woke up at 6 am this morning with terrible abdo pains, which increased my bleeding. Nothing directly to do with m/c as it was definately back passage related ( TMI), difficulty in going no 2( but did a bit finally) and just terrible painful trapped wind. I Googled it and wondered is this common after mc?

Like Cece ( so sorry you are going through this too ) , I am not sure I can justifiable come on this thread, as to top it all -on one of the worst days I've had so far , DH said this morning he doesn't want ttc as he can't cope with all the trouble and my "complications". Might have had something to do with being very tearful later today. Writing does help to bring out the tears of frustration and anger and sadness that you could show elsewhere and wished you hadn't, or trying to communicate with a partner that just doesn't fully understand what you are going through. He asked me why I was crying when he picked me up from the hospital...Speak to you all later and sending as always healing wishes xx

Angsthase · 22/05/2006 16:36

Oh K1K2, so sorry you're having a crap time. I just posted on another thread to you before checking here.

Men can be completely useless just when you need them to be strong and supportive. Some days life just sucks doesn't it?

I think we really all need some good news. Come on those BFP's - where are you lurking???

rubles · 22/05/2006 18:34

Oh K1K2...what a sh*t day for you.

It is down to bobbynog and me who are awaiting (or not) af tomorrow. It's like waiting for exam results. I am becoming increasingly sensitive to every stomach twinge in fear that i am getting any cramps.

babyfettle · 22/05/2006 20:13

Busy day today on here! They've gone and put a super-duper firewall on our work internet server, so I can no longer access Mumsnet easily at work, so have to wait until I'm home!

Cece, so sorry, I really hoped you would persuade DH. Do try and talk to him, if communication stops it makes all these things build up. It's stressful enough moving house - hope you are settling in ok!

To all in general, I think it is hard for DH/DPs having to cope with just sitting on the sidelines, while we have to go through pain of worries over conception & Mcs etc. I know my DH just didn't know what to say or do, that at times I thought he was being so hurtful. When I spoke to him, he admitted that he was gutted at losing the baby, but felt that he had to hide it as it was all happening to me and not to him. Tricky - they want to be strong for us, but end up pushing us away.

Come on Rubles & Bobbynog, we need some positive vibes!!

rubles · 23/05/2006 06:47

I was really positive yesterday, and even said to dp that I thought we might have done it. Then last night I was getting twinges/mild stomach aches which came and went. I was really surprised because I have felt so positive but I kind of took it in my stride and thought it was AF coming so put sanitary pad on before going to bed. I had all kinds of weird delirious dreams which I think were all to do with AF and meant I slept poorly. Then at 5 am I woke up really down because I had had a dream that my sanitary pad was absolutely soaked through already. I was so depressed because I didn't remember it was a dream and lay there till 6 feeling despondent. Then I got out of bed and realised that in fact AF hadn't come, in which case where was it and what were the stomach aches? I went from feeling really positive to really negative and now i don't know what is going on.

Bobbynog, how you doing? Are you a bit unhinged too?

Can you all send me some chill-out vibes to help me through the day?

bobbynog · 23/05/2006 09:03

Hi rubles - i am like a loose cannon! Me and dd have been in tears twice already. I have been having "twinges" since last thursday, so have been waiting for Af, but so far no show. Today is going to be soooo slow, if i can get through today i will be fine, as i am working tomorrow, so wont have time to think.

oinker · 23/05/2006 09:17

Are chill out vibes the same as baby dust....????

oinker · 23/05/2006 09:18

What CD are you two on???

Could be good news.

FINGERS CROSSED!!!

cece · 23/05/2006 09:28

oh I hope it is good news Smile

bobbynog · 23/05/2006 09:49

WHat is CD? Cycle day? If so, it it 28 today, but last AF came after 21 days, so i am all over the place. What can i do to occupy myself, otherwise i will sit in the corner rocking!

rubles · 23/05/2006 18:35

Bobbynog I hope you have coped today without too much insanity!

We are holding out for a +ve from you now, because unfortunately AF has just come for me.

I am not feeling too bad about it really - I was really confident it was our month but obviously wrong on that. At least the tension of waiting is gone. What I don't get is if we had sex every day for the week prior to ovulation and then a bit afterwards in relaxed surroundings and we still didn't manage then what more can we do? I don't get it, it just doesn't make sense to me.

Nicola63 · 23/05/2006 19:28

I'm sorry about that rubles. I also had some feeling that this month would be good, and we did everything right, but still no. It's so frustrating.

weewilliewinkie · 23/05/2006 19:49

So sorry Rubles. You are doing everything right, I'm sure all of us are doing as much as is possible. It's so frustrating though. Follow bobbynog's fertility foods advice - worth a try. It's weird that you had that dream before af came - I had the same kind of dream too. Kind of set me up for its arrival, I suppose. And as you say, at least the tension and stress of waiting, and not knowing is over for another month. Here's to a hopeful, relaxed, obsessive-free June!

rubles · 23/05/2006 20:07

Thank you for your sympathy - I know the disappointment will pass in a couple of days.

I felt positive like that about you too Nicola in your last cycle. I have to admit to even having thought about you being pregnant on holiday and was shocked to get back and find you hadn't managed to do it this month. What with seeing the egg in the scan and you being newly weds and all.

www - I may look into the fertile foods in a light-hearted way. I can't stand green tea though, do you know how people make it palatable? I think I need to get some fertile foods for dp as he cycles too much.

Angsthase · 23/05/2006 21:26

I was told by the fertility clinic only to BD every 48 hrs to allow DH's sperm to get back up to scratch. I've heard this from others too. Maybe try that next month?

(Although I also know people who BD'd every day for a week and got pg - so ignore it if you prefer)

Green tea - only thing that's good for is chucking down the sink. YUK!!! But if it helps, then maybe lace it with vodka?? Grin

rubles · 24/05/2006 08:49

Ooh, green tea and vodka, luvverly!

weewilliewinkie · 24/05/2006 08:59

I drink flavoured green teas - currently with spiced apple and gingko bilboa (sp?) and it's quite bearable....

Might be nicer with a shot of vodka in it, I agree...Smile

How are you feeling today rubles?

Any news bobbynog?

rubles · 24/05/2006 09:16

I have felt loads better about this AF than I did about the last time. It's great, I don't know why, but although disappointed yesterday I wasn't floored by it.

Where do you get that flavoured green tea from, just normal supermarkets? I may give it a go.

Bobbynog said she was working today, so maybe will post later - I can only think that no news is good news.

slinkstah · 24/05/2006 10:30

Most of you wont remember me as i was here almost 9 months ago ttcing:)
wanted to let ya gals know that that after you graduate from the ttc after mc thread you can join us on the pg after mc thread in the pregnancy section and after that there is now a new success after mc thread in the postnatal section as 3 of our first ever babies have been born.
3 support threads of the same family:)

good luck to you all ttcing:)

hiya oinker special A40 vibes coming your way xxxxxx

Angsthase · 24/05/2006 11:39

much more sensible suggestion www Grin

Come to think of it, think I've seen flavoured green teas in Sainsburys, but I bet Holland and Barratt would have them too.

Slinkstah - great to hear there is life after ttc! Grin

weewilliewinkie · 24/05/2006 11:51

I live in Germany so get them here - the Germans are VERY big on their herbal teas Grin - however, if you can't find any there I'd be happy to send you some, just let me know.

Nice message ss - it is nice to know there IS hope. It's about time someone here got a +ve, we've been at this thread for ages!!

Smole · 24/05/2006 12:02

Well I'm on my 2ww.

How's everyone else doing.

Don't go overboard on the green tea as apparently large amounts of it could decrease the effectiveness of folic acid.

Angsthase · 24/05/2006 12:08

WWW - Oh yes, I remember it well...as you may have guessed from my name, spent quite a bit of time there myself - although drank more beer than green tea GrinGrin

Good luck on the 2ww smole. No pressure, but a BFP on here would be nice Grin

Is it only green tea you have to limit, or does that go for other herbal teas?

Smole · 24/05/2006 12:13

I have no idea on other herbal teas. Sorry.
