Ohhh hunny here's hoping it happens soon. And for everyone else!!!! There's going to be some births in the near future on the pg after mc thread and we need some of you lovelies to pop on over Wink

Smole · 06/04/2006 09:44

AF due anytime now really. Thought she was coming yesterday. Think it'll be today.I'm not testing coz I don't think I am pg :)

Think of you today ruthlouise.

FirstNikki · 06/04/2006 13:17

Afternoon All Smile

Ruthlouise will be thinking of you and your family tomorrow {{{hugs}}}

Piffle fingers crossed and hope 2ww flies by.

Now I have been giving this all some thought and I am going to take a break from this thread. As I won't be ttc'g for a while I would rather take a break because its a reminder that I can't try for sometime Sad and I am finding it upsetting, I am even getting upset as I write. I will pop in from time to time but not as regular.

I wish you all bfp's in the very near future and wish you all healthy pgs when that happens.

Best of luck and thank you all for your support and friendship its been very valuable through my highs and lows. xxxxxx LOVE FN Smile

FirstNikki · 06/04/2006 13:17

p.s smole also fingers crossed af stays away Wink

Smole · 06/04/2006 15:41

We'll miss you Nikki. :(
You make sure you do come back.

rubles · 06/04/2006 22:13

FirstNikki, I completely understand what you mean. I really hope that:-
a/ you get a better job than the one you are currently in with better pay/perks/colleagues/maternity benefits(!)
b/ once having achieved this and worked the pre-requisite amount of time you effortlessly fall pregnant
c/ you completely forget about ttc until that time and you enjoy the spring and summer without being mad stressed and broody.

Take care sweetie. xxx

chickenrice · 11/04/2006 18:08

Hi all.

Can I join?

I miscarried in September last year. Periods are still not right but I need to start TTC. How does this thread work?

cece · 11/04/2006 18:17

Hello can I join in as I have a question which I thougth someone on here might be able to answer?

I had a ERPC 11 days ago. I had no bleeding apart from a small amount on day 5 and then a very small bit this weekend. How soon can me and DH have sex? The info leaflet they gave me says 3 weeks but it also said I should bleed for 10 days!

Thanks Blush

MumtoLaura · 11/04/2006 21:58

Hi Cece, So sorry for your loss,
I had an ERPC on the 27th March, and have had a similar amount of bleeding as yourself. The consulant told me I could have sex as soon as I wanted. So I left it two weeks and am now TTC Smile.

Hi Chickenrice - welcome.
I find this thread useful for support from people who've all been through a similar experience.

cece · 11/04/2006 22:15

TTC!

Wow the doc told us to wait at least two months! Wonder why my hospital gives such different advice? It was the general advice leaflet they give to everyone so not specific to me!

cece · 11/04/2006 22:16

Sorry that was addressed to mumtolaura

cece · 11/04/2006 22:18

MumtoLaura, sorry to hear of your loss too. How many weeks were you? I was 10 weeks at time of ERPC but the baby died 2 weeks prior to this but only was measuring 6 weeks.

MumtoLaura · 12/04/2006 09:03

Hi Cece,
Sorry I didn't get back to you last night, I had an early night. I too was 10 weeks at the time of ERPC, I had an early scan at 6 weeks and everything was fine, but I had some discharge (a bit like waters breaking) at 8 weeks and think that is when the baby died.
The advice leaflet I got from the hospital didn't say anything about how long to wait before TTC, but the consultant said we could TTC as soon as we like.
I think some doctors advise waiting until your periods are reastablished as it makes dating easier, but from what I can tell (from mumsnet and from google), your chance of another miscarriage is not any higher if you get pregnant soon after a miscarriage, and indeed, some people say you are more fertile soon after a miscarriage. However, I think some people need to have time to greave before they TTC, but everybody is different, and I want to TTC ASAP.

cece · 12/04/2006 09:06

Well good luck!
Not sure if and when we will TTC. I know I want too but not sure about DH. We weren't TTC when I got pg this time so I am hoping he will agree, as now I really want another!

MumtoLaura · 12/04/2006 09:10

How old is your DD/DS? My DD is four (and really wants a brother!)

cece · 12/04/2006 09:12

DD 5 next week Smile

DS 2 and half next week Smile

DH says 2 is enough but I have wanted a third since the day I came home from hospital with DS!

MumtoLaura · 12/04/2006 09:22

Wow - Big party next week then?!

cece · 12/04/2006 09:27

Yes - and we are probably going to be moving house the same week - providing we exchange and complete on time Shock. The party is booked for end of month though so not panicing yet!

bobbynog · 12/04/2006 11:05

Hello everyone - can i join? I had an erpc after my 12 week scan - the baby died around 6 weeks. I have changed my name to mark my fresh start, and to stop my friends peeking at what i am saying!
I have had my first period, and feel ready to ttc, dh is up for it as well, but am i am so scared of it going wrong again. I am sure you all feel the same way.
Just wanted to add my name to the list, and wish everyone loads of luck!

Nicola63 · 12/04/2006 12:05

Hi to the new people, and to those who were here before and remember me, hello again. I am back from my skiing holiday, which was fab. Except for my DH injuring his thumb, luckily is not broken but is a ligament injury, he has to wear a hand brace for a few weeks. He reckons it was worth it for the lovely time we had though.

Bobbynog, I know exactly how you feel, I am ttc after two m/c's and it is very difficult when you both want to see that BFP, but also dread all the anxiety that it will bring to both you and your DH as you wait every day to see if it will go wrong again...

A dear friend of mine came around with her one-year old baby yesterday, she was the result of a third try after one m/c and one termination for Down syndrome. She encouraged me to keep my spirits up and keep trying for all we are worth, and I will!

Smole · 12/04/2006 12:12

Welcome Boobynog, Cece & Chickenrice. I'm sorry for all your losses.

Everyone on here is very friendly. A few are on holiday and a lot have graduated! :)

Cece it sounds like you're in for a busy month.

cece · 12/04/2006 12:53

Thanks for the welcomes.

Smole - did I mention DH is on jury service as well?!

weewilliewinkie · 13/04/2006 16:46

Hi ladies,

wow! lots of new people.... Welcome all......
I'm back from holiday too now, had a lovely time with a ton of bd'ing...Wink Now we just have to wait to see if nasty old af reals her ugly head. Trying very hard not to get my hopes up, but you know how it is.

haven't had time to read through the rest of the thread yet, but I will soon. hope all you new folk here will find this thread as warm and supportive as I have.

elliepippamummy · 13/04/2006 19:31

Hello everyone,

Good luck to all, we are now trying for baby no 2 have a DD (age 19 mnths) and had miscarriage in Feb now feel ready to give it a go and try again!

ruthlouise · 15/04/2006 23:16

Hi all and welcome to you new ladies (hope yr stay here is short Wink )

Haven't got up to speed yet (am I ever?!)but thought I'd pop in and say 'hi'

Funeral went 'well' and we had a lovely time away - definitely what we needed.

WWW and Nicola63 glad you both had good time away too

Piffle (((hug))) 'cos sounded like you need one and Smole... any news? saw yr post that u were expecting AF but no update from that date

Quite frustrated (TMI coming up...)as still lots of spotting /loss. Aaargh, so annoying, its now 4+2weeks and I keep thinking its stopped, sometimes for a couple of days but then we BD or I do something more sporty/enegetic and it returns. Does anyone know if this is normal? Should I be worried? Its a constant reminder of how things were when I was on the 6 weeks before finally losing Isaac so I worry a bit in case its related to the previous haemorraghing. If I keep bleeding will I know when my first AF returns? Within week of miscarriage, it had gone to light pink loss but now definitely red so could it be AF?
