Thanks Rubles - shopping and lunch are def my things - but ds would not agree! Took him out for a walk so he's a bit cheerier. He's 2. He's a good boy really....he just can't understand why mummy's been crying today, poor wee thing. Anyway, dh is home now - think I'll go and have a nice long bath....

You're right about breaking the cycle rubles - I kept thinking today, this time 3 weeks ago I had no idea anything was wrong...that music room has dreadful associations for me now. Will def give it a miss for a while.
Anyway, how are you?

FirstNikki · 17/03/2006 15:52

Enjoy your soak www you need it x

I am alright thanks - only alright though. I was doing really well and feeling really positive about life etc, but realised this morning that I have already ovulated (according to my temperature rise), on a really really early day - far earlier than I have ever knowingly ovulated before. The galling thing is that we got down to 'it' last night but because I was so confident I was not in my fertile window I decided we should, erm, do it without penetration (I can't believe I am writing this!). I am kicking myself so hard today. There is a chance, I suppose, that it was a temperature blip, but I don't think so.

I can't believe everything was going so well and now I have to wait a whole month again. I can't believe I took my eye off the ball like that. I can't believe that that split second decision in the bed has made so much difference. Oh how I wish I could turn back the clock.

Looking on the bright side, (she says in desperation as it isn't much of a bright side), at least it won't be a December baby.

Oh balls.

oinker · 17/03/2006 20:02

I my GP to write me a referral for Prof.Reagans clinic. Mind you I had to be quite forceful. He wanted all sorts of info etc.. He was very sympathetic. He will be sending it off on Monday along with corres. he has from Queen Charlottes. I am so pleased.
I told my GP I was not continuing with the progesterone and he was fine with it. He told me to continue visitng the clinic until my appointment comes through. So that's what I'm doing. I really hope I have made the right choice. Now all I have to worry about is NOT getting pregnant in the next three months. Maybe I should carry on with the progesterone just to make sure I don't! Wink

Hi, I saw my obstetrician yesterday (for those who don't know I have had 2 early m/c's), no antiphospholipid antibodies found and nothing else abnormal apart from a slight thyroid abnormality, the test for this is being repeated and then I might go on thyroid hormone.

I was rather disappointed as I was hoping there would be something concrete that could be treated, but he is now doing further tests, including for Factor V Leiden, and refrred me to a rheumatologist as I also have Raynaud's syndome (circulation problem) and it could be connected.

Also to have uterine sonar in about a month to check what has happened to my pre-existing uterine adhesions (he thinks he may have got rid of them at the ERPC but they could reform of course).

Overall I felt rather disappointed. But he did say not to stop ttc just because the tests are still ongoing! So we will go for it. Although DH is very wary, says he does not want us to keep going through these distressing m/c's. I agree but am not prepared to give up...

mygirllolipop · 19/03/2006 08:37

Oinker- I think you've done the right thing! Hope all this works for you, I'm sure it will.
Nicola - don't despair sometimes there isn't a reason or at least not one they will find on tests. That's a good thing because the liklihood of it happening again mustbe low. An underactive thyroid can have an impact of fretility/MC/BF so that could well be the cause. I need to have mine tested soon but the Dr wasn't very convincing about when I should go.

Morning all. Sorry haven't been around lately, but work frantic as we were coming up to annual apprisals (and we get our performance-related pay for the next year!). All good, fortunately Smile I was so scared what they'd say, with all the time I had off with pg and m/c lately. Looking forward to a quieter few weeks now! CD25, so getting into the 'interesting' bit now. V sore nipples, so who knows ... anyone out there got any baby dust?!

About to sign up for another term of dancing - in the improvers class this time! Has been such good fun, and so helpful for dh and I to just have some time together. Plus deceptively good exercise. My knees are killing me!

Rubles don't get down about the thought you might of ovulated - give it a go now you never know Wink last time I thought I have missed the boat completely but I hadn't you really can't tell for sure and they last a day or so. Relax and enjoy the bd'g x

Nicola so glad you got some information all be it not what you were wanting. I agree though I am waiting for my baby's lab results and are too hoping for a specific answer so it can be treated. I think if we had a specific treatable problem it would be ok in our minds?? cos we could get treated and get our dream. I will be ringing the hospital up on Monday to chase my results up, they said they would ring me and send to either me direct or the drs within about two weeks well they had it 3 wks on wednesday for testing.

Muppet - good luck fingers crossed for you hun hope you get that bfp what your normal cycle length?

Have posted on the other thread too but I hope all goes well and great news on being referred. You watch sods law you end up a happy pg lady.

xxx

Piffle · 19/03/2006 12:15

nicola interesting post, I also have Raynauds phenomenon and have had 4 early miscarriages ttc no 3.
Hope everyone else is doing ok, it is such an up and down time for everyone, it has been a really horrible few weeks, so many people getting over miscarriages it seems.
Chin up everyone :)

muppet3 · 19/03/2006 13:15

Hiya Nikki - are you doing ok lass? No such thing as normal cycle length for me. 36 days last time, 40 something before that. Once upon a time, when I was a mere teenager pre-one decade on the pill, I think I remember it being 28 days ... but it's about as clear as my recollection of having acne Grin

Am thinking of all you ladies having a hard time, and waiting for test results. I hope they all come soon and give you some peace of mind and hope for more luck in teh months to come.

oinker · 19/03/2006 15:03

Do we have any testers this week?

GOOD LUCK for those of you who are. Wink

SOME MORE................

Nicola63 · 20/03/2006 07:18

Looking into this more it seems that both Raynaud's and m/c's can be related to hypothyroidism, so maybe that is an answer of sorts. More tests tomorrow then we'll see if I go onto thyroid hormone.

Piffle, very interesting that you also have Raynaud's and had recurrent early m/c's. My Raynaud's has never been severe but has been worsening somewhat as I get older. Did they ever make a connectionbetween that and the m/c's and did they treat you with anything?

Have a nice week everyone. For those in the UK: is spring EVER coming??

muppet3 · 20/03/2006 08:36

Happy Monday. Well, it might be a bit early but I shall fling caution to the wind and get some tests tonight. It'll be CD28 tomorrow, so an early one might work. And if there's enough hormone surge to cause me to feel like this, there should damn well be enough to show up. Here's hoping.

HellKat · 20/03/2006 08:46

Muppet- Good luck! xxxxxxxx

Hiya all hope everyone's well.

oinker · 20/03/2006 09:59

FirstNikki · 20/03/2006 11:20

mygirllolipop · 20/03/2006 11:57

Hi everyone

Not been here for a couple of days - crap weekend, felt right I was right down at the bottom again. I've had to pick myself up and even went to the gym this morning! feel much better now. Hope you all are doing ok....

Hoping for either af or ov this week....preferably ov, tbh! Still have no idea what my uterus is doing! Grin

here's to a positive, slightly cheerier week...
