Hmm, ds doesn't want to go to school cos "year 1 is much more work than reception" Tough, get used to it kid Grin! I am just hoping that the shoes, trainers etc still fit - I must get him to try them on, otherwise I may have to remove his toes for a couple of days so I can go to the shop and get him some more.

Sorry about cd 1 Fairy, I hope this month is more normal (and that you never get to cd1 til next yearWink

DS starts school on Weds. Feels like time has flown too quickly. We have everything ready apart from the fact I need to get off my arse and iron in the name labels.

Not seen Lemonade recently. Are you there my lovey? We need to know about Jeffrey.

Iron in name labels? Sharpie pens are my friend! How did ds get on Lou? My ds was fine, he came home saying that there was not a lot more work in year one than reception right at the start of year one!

HalleLouja · 08/09/2012 09:44

All is fine but we have home work already. A family tree to do by end of month Confused

Family tree for reception homework? We just had letters to write and a picture to colour in! No homework yet here, this week no doubt. We did do a scrapbook over the summer. I am enjoying the time during the day with dd and have made a start on the very neglected housework. There was a question, do I hoover the dust or roll into balls and knit it?

I do need to remove the heap from the corner of our bedroom so I can put the cot up before dd's head hits the end of the moses basket!

Report
HalleLouja · 09/09/2012 20:25

What is this hoover that you speak of?

We have had a massive clear out so finally have less junk. Still lots but lots less.

Hi still here and I survived the six week school holidays!

Fairy sorry about rtd and fx for more normal cycles.

Mini muffin was poorly a couple of weeks ago and the Gp found that she has got a heart murmur so we are just waiting for an echo to rule out anything serious. She was a total star when we went to the hospital and she had an ECG, lay there really still fake snoring and was blowing every one kisses.

Dd1 was playing badminton with her dad when mini muffin stole the shuttle cock and starting biting it. Dd1 announced is was more bitten cock than a shuttle cock now and me and dh just couldn't stop laughing because it was said so innocently.

As for homework, just wait until yr 5 I'm a nervous wreck never mind dd1!

The Hoover is a good place to store spare coats Grin

Oh that is what a hoover is for, I just used the floor Grin

UmBongo · 10/09/2012 19:32

I usually store dust on my Hoover. The spare coats live on/off the pegs in a random free roaming stylee.

Love the shuttlecock comment! Sorry you have heart murmer issues, it is quite frightening when the dr first tells you, but dd has one too and we have to go back to be ultra sounded, just got the appt through today - december! It was ultra sounded when she was 2 days old and declared fine, so I am sure it will still be fine by december!

Still boody bleeding - 11 days & counting!!! Hmm

Hoover - what is this hoover?

I haven't set any homework yet but have a ton of what feels like homework. Why did I become a teacher again???

welcome back lemony Keep us posted on mini muffin. DD1 sounds funny! Give me a shout if you need any Yr5 homework explained!

Sorry to hear that Fairy, I thought you were on the road to "normal", whatever that may be.

You became a teacher because you love brats children and feel the love of giving knowledge riot policing

Fairy you may regret your offer of help especially as the yr 2 teacher had to explain to me what a 'time line' is.

Fairygodmother1 · 11/09/2012 20:12

Um how did you know the reason lol I quite enjoy being a part-time social worker teacher most of the time!

I have managed to complete week 4 of couch to 5k. Not sure I am losing any weight (don't weigh myself) but it is starting to get to the point I am running for 5 minutes without a break.

Lemony you make me giggle. A timeline - its what that have changed everyone to on FB - dontcha know.

So who fancies hanging out in the park in our far too short classy skirts and thongs.

UmBongo · 15/09/2012 22:40

Ooh, I'll come down the park with you, my boobs are falling out of my boob tube at the moment, so I am even more classy!

Well done on the week 4 Lou, I am looking forward to starting again, but dd doesn't seem to want a regular snooze, I will get a chance, but I may have to go out at night!

Got my week 5 day 3 run and 20 minutes of running to do tomorrow all in a row. Wish me luck!

Report
Icedlemonmuffin · 21/09/2012 09:57

Good luck Lou!

Fairy I think I need more help than I thought, I meant 'number line' not 'time line'. My poor children, there is no hope for them with me as their mother is there?!

Mini muffin is full of a cold and not sleeping well so I'm very very tired.

Report
UmBongo · 22/09/2012 22:00

Wow, how did the run go? That was as far as I got before dd happened! I am looking forward to starting again and knowing that you are out trotting is making me want to work out how I am going to get going as dd went down tonight at 9.15 and it is PITCH BLOODY BLACK out there now. And all I want is a beer cos I will not be feeding til the morning. Not to get up and go running. Sorry mini muffin is full of cold, it is never jolly, I hope you all recover soon.xx

I got that far too before DD was conceived. Its taken me all this time to start again and keep going. Am a bit sore but it was ok. Just kept going even though it was really hard work. I have to do shorter run again today. If I can get my arse in gear.

DS is ending up in our beds most nights this week but he is all disturbed starting school first time. He loves it but its a big change.

How did week 6 go Lou? I am thinking about starting, but dd isn't napping regularly yet.

Come to that, she has forgotten how to sleep through the night, at 5 months, I think I will try and struggle to 5.5 months and then give up and put food in, then we can all go back to sleep.

I have finally got her cot build and found the cot bedding too, so she has been in that for the last couple of nights so she can stretch out without hitting the end of her basket. She does look very cute tucked up, with a pink babygro and ds's old blue sleeping bag with boats and cars on! Smile

Week 6 was fine. Week 7 day 1 on the other hand wasn't fine (even though it was the same run as week 6 day 3). I feel like I am toning up. My legs seem slimmer and I am definitely fitter. I can run for 25 minutes now.

Not sure there is that much of a difference when the eat. In fact DS started sleeping worse on solids..... That is just my experience though. DD started sleeping through at 9 months and on the whole has been excellent since. So it was worth the wait.

DD wears DS's clothes sometimes. Also has boy sleeping bags I bought from the charity shop.
