Thought we could do with a new thread since the old one is full.

Hello ladies so sorry to find you all here :( not really sure if I ?qualify? to join your wonderful thread been lurking for a long time now but just need my hand holding for the next 10 days or so. Following a surprise BFP in Feb I had a m/c at the end of March. I was only 8 weeks but it still hurt (emotionally) like mad. DH and I already have 2 DD?s (15 & 11) so thought our family was complete a long long time ago so much so that we had agreed (pre bfp) that he should have a vasectomy which he did 2 days before i started to m/c :( We are now 3 months down the line and the chance of a bfp is very slim now but af is due Fri 13th! which is also dd1 b?day so this really is my last chance of getting pg. I have just had my ?life begins? birthday Wink and although I know in my heart it will be a bfn you never know...............

Ooh I've found you!!

I sent a message to you this morning state and the thread was full - was on way to work so couldn't do anything about it - anyway never apologise for letting your noughts and feelings out on here - that's what we are virtually here for lol

Congrats moo great news :)

Welcome wifey sorry you find yourself here though it's a great bunch of ladies to be around - I know what you mean about being scared I was too about trying again after my mc on 25th April. Though my body had other ideas and we missed Af in June and I'm now 6+1 weeks and waiting until Friday to book an early scan! This is my third pg - I'm 42 DS is nearly 10! Never used contraception in all this time so thought couldn't get pg - so you never know - I'm just mentalling this week coz mc was 6+6 weeks :(

Ladies sorry couldn't name check you all but dinner is calling - don't forget to include your stats if you are ready as I will update the mosh pit over the weekend!

Catch you all later x

wifey6 · 04/07/2012 18:02

pixie....congratulations. Wishing you a healthy & happy pregnancy Smile
I'm taking a more 'laid-back' approach to ttc this time. With my DS...it just happened & I enjoyed a care-free, wonderful pregnancy & labour. My last pregnancy I was obsessed with getting a BFP...sadly I will be entering pregnancy three scared but more relaxed about it happening--hopefully!

MumTumWanted · 04/07/2012 18:13

Marking my place xx

Off to catch up

Polka2 · 04/07/2012 20:46

Not 'mr' password! Bloody phoneAngry

MrsPear · 04/07/2012 21:24

Good evening (offers banana bread - ds made it with help from mummy and it's not bad) So glad you have had a good result moomin ; don't worry about sharing state tbh i have found it hard to find friends after ds. Send her an olive branch via a nice card and i am sure she will call again even if it takes a while. Sorry that the newbies have found themselves here, I wish to hibernate with state and confused and wake up at 40 weeks in labour.

backwardpossom · 04/07/2012 21:26

Delighted for you moomin!

I bought some Superdrug tests this afternoon so will pee on one in the morning...

Hi, metalling Jaffa in the house. Glad this thread has been started. Thanks possum. And congratulations. A line is a line! Also congrats to heehee.

pebs, I completely understand your feelings about ttc after mc. I was really churned up and anxious. It is still there now, at 22 weeks I am still really unsettled. There is a lady I have got to know since my public late mc, and she was so chatty and full of really lovely questions about this pregnancy. I had to really pull myself together and try to believe it is real and answer her properly, I bet she thinks I am weird.

JaffaSnaffle · 04/07/2012 21:38

Pressed send too soon. moomin, so glad you got good news today.

StateofConfusion · 04/07/2012 22:10

jaffa I'm very unsettled, find it hard to just stop and relax or even sit still. I'm constantly fidgeting, playing games on the ipod, mning and on fb whilst watching tv, its really not like me.

leedy · 04/07/2012 22:30

Ooh, here you are. Just catching up a bit, have been ridiculously busy and/or sick. Hope everyone else is doing OK and dealing with the trials and tribulations.

Nothing remarkable here, 19 weeks (blimey), still occasionally metalling. Blood pressure down but HOORAH I have another poxy chest infection and am now on humungous amounts antibiotics and steroids to stop my hideous wheezing (which are putting my blood pressure up a bit but as that's a known side effect I'm not too worried) and would just like to have a normal unremarkable rest of pregnancy with a baby at the end of it please. I am sick of being either sick or worried or both. I have also booked a holiday in Actual Foreign Spain for next month, for the relaxing.

Dorita75 · 05/07/2012 00:55

Thanks jollyb your message has calmed my metalling. Congrats moomin!

backwardpossom · 05/07/2012 07:48

No mistaking the BFP I got this morning... Let the metalling begin!

Polka2 · 05/07/2012 08:27

Possom that's amazing news how many days post ov are you?

backwardpossom · 05/07/2012 08:32

Thanks Polka - FF thinks 13, although I thought it might have been more. I think FF might be right going by my temps, though, as I've been charting this month. I have no symptoms at all though. So you know that's not helping the madness!

OP posts:
squeakymac · 05/07/2012 08:57

Ahhhhh, found you Smile

backwards congrats! Here's hoping for a strong line on an FRER..... My internet cheapies only got really strong and definite about 2 weeks after AF was due - up to then they needed to be held under a very strong light for the line to be seen, FRERs were much more convincing

state hope you're feeling better and less anxious? Sounds like you've a lot going on. Will you have a chance to do something nice and relaxing for yourself soon?

Welcome newbies! sorry you find yourselves here but hope you get as much support from this crew as I have in the last couple of months! Nothing is not normal on here! Here's hoping for lots more TTC and BFPs whenever people feel ready themselves....

Well 10 weeks today Shock Got my fetal doppler a few days ago and have used it a couple of times, got the little fast HB with no probs even though tis so early. V reassuring but I can see the potential for out of control metalling if its ever hard to find into the future - think I'll try only to use it the odd time for a treat....

Incidentally my friend (she's a GP so has a doppler as part of her kit) listened to hers at 10 weeks about a month ago and thought she heard 2 HBs!! Incredibly, she has waited a month to have her first scan at 14 weeks which is today - I'm waiting with bated breath to find out if its twinnies as she'll be due a month before me so it will be lovely to have a mat leave friend!

changing jobs and moving house this weekend the joys of trainee-doctor life Smile

StateofConfusion · 05/07/2012 09:17

Morning all

congrats possom :)

I feel more normal this morning squeaky but it seems to be the evenings where everything hits me, no chance of a break for some time with dp recovering and ds birthday a week on monday and school holidays looming may throw my mercy on mum at some point for a night off.

wilderumpus · 05/07/2012 11:15

squeaky you have a LOT going on atm don't you? are you a trainee dr? ooh! And let us know about your friend!

congrats possom!

I hope all you metalling ladies are ok x

we've started ttc properly for this month now :) Going to try to dtd every 2/3 days although I won't ov for another two weeks so not gung ho just yet. Just warming up and, ahem, cleaning the pipes as it were Grin get those spermies fresh and fit! Hope to have plenty of sexes over the next couple of weeks and a BFP in three!

put a pair of leggings on today and thanks to my 30 day shred am not looking so elephantine in them. Getting fitter for my pregnancy-to-be :)

MrsPear · 05/07/2012 11:34

Good morning everyone

Congrats to possom

Went to hospital today to see the consultant. Good news is baby is still there with a good heart beat and was kicking. Bad news is that she wants me to have both the pessary and the stitch. Her reason being if i do go early it will be earlier than last time which was bloody early (30 weeks) Sad Got to go back in 2 weeks with decision. Oh and it is a very undignified procedure which tbh i don't care about; i am more scared of the miscarriage risk.

pebspop · 05/07/2012 11:37

i am feeling much better today. not stressing out! decided to chill out about the spotting as i have realised it doesn't mention it in the lesley regan book and the consultant said i am ok to ttc and loads of people have spotting during pg with no bad effects.

wilde i better get started as well then eh? hoping to have plenty of swi on holiday so that should cover it.

i am doing 30 day shred as well did my first level three yesterday omg! it's a killer. hoping to be a bit more toned by my holidays. i have lost 7 pounds as well so not looking bad at the moment - if i do say so myself.
