I've already tested, Pink - yesterday and today: BFNs. My period is due today. I am 13DPO and my temperature is higher than ever. I've been sick and am very, very bloated. I just want a BFP to confirm!

lotsofcheese · 07/10/2012 21:01

golden get thee to a supermarket/pharmacy & purchase a 1st response - crossing everything for you!

Irishmammybread · 07/10/2012 21:08

golden, with my last pregnancy I had a BFN on day AF due(ASDA own brand,FMU,)wasn't surprised as I thought my cycle was screwed up as it was directly after my second miscarriage, it was only when my temp was still up 2 days later I tested again (internet cheapie) and got a BFP, then I tested the next day with a Clear blue digital with FMU and got a clear "pregnant 2-3 weeks"...... is it worth trying another brand tomorrow or next day??
Will be waiting with baited breath to see what develops in next few days, it would just feel right to get a BFP around your due date. x

littlepink hope that is implantation bleed and not early AF.

CaliBee, if your OH gets home some weekends at least there'll be babymaking opportunities(if you're not pregnant already by then!). It must be difficult being apart but you must have some good reunions when he gets back!

littlepinkfizz · 07/10/2012 21:37

Thanks irish feeling crampy though so think it is AF Sad Dint normally get cycles less than 28 days so bit peeved tbh. Was trying not to go on Internet as 2ww driving me nuts but this blood has only confirmed my fears

Will let you all know how it develops and glad to be back!

littlepinkfizz · 07/10/2012 21:40

goldengirl71 · 07/10/2012 21:51

Ladies, I shall do as you say. I'll pee in a pot first thing, seal it, and then run to the chemist (actually I will walk as it is fecking miles away). Problem is, our medieval alchemist chemist may possibly not sell First Response (it's a hideously archaic little shop). Any suggestions then?

goldengirl71 · 07/10/2012 21:55

Just realised an alchemist is not someone who messes about with potions and unguents. Never mind.

littlepinkfizz · 07/10/2012 21:56

Any of the branded ones golden . I'm sure they will sell clearblue x

lotsofcheese · 07/10/2012 22:12

My advice would be to avoid digital ones & those with blue dye, fwiw - but it sounds like you might have a very limited choice.

goldengirl71 · 07/10/2012 23:04

Cheese, can you elaborate on this 'dye situation'? I don't quite understand.

goldengirl71 · 07/10/2012 23:08

I don't trust Clearblue smiley OPKs, if that means anything. They give a positive result for the start of a surge. Which is naughty.

CaliBee · 08/10/2012 07:45

Really hoping this is it for you golden.
I used both the clearblue smiley's and the internet cheapies. However I do confess to finding the cheapies awkward to interpret...hence the back up with clearblue's. My temp took a hike this morning (hoping it's not the cystitis symptoms I woke with at 3am this morning which have mysteriously vanished now I'm awake!!!) so it looks like I may be into 2ww. Good luck to all x

goldengirl71 · 08/10/2012 08:33

I am perplexed. My temperature has dropped a little (by 0.08) and another BFN. I have saved my urine so will set off shortly to the chemist to buy a 'proper' test. A horrible thought has struck me: maybe fertility friend got my ovulation date wrong and today is actually CD13 not CD14. Indeed, this would mean my period is due today and not yesterday. I am so, so blue at the thought of AF arriving today. I guess the drop in temp says it all...Sad

goldengirl71 · 08/10/2012 11:22

A big, fat NO from First Response. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed, especially as today is my due date for the little one I lost. Sad, sad, sad...

littlepinkfizz · 08/10/2012 11:32

Oh golden Sad that is just awful news.
How can life be so hard for some people. I know you will find it very difficult to get through today a d after but we are all here for you xxxxx

goldengirl71 · 08/10/2012 12:08

Thanks for that, Pink, that's really kind of you.

Can I ask you all to look at my chart, ladies? Sorry to be a pain but does it look like my period's on its way to you?:

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/goldengirl71

If First Response say 'no' on 12/13DPO is it definite that I am not pregnant? [frantically grasping at straws emoticon]

somewherebecomingrain · 08/10/2012 12:21

golden Sad. big hugs.
xxx

lotsofcheese · 08/10/2012 12:29

Oh golden that's just shite Sad And today of all days too. Hope you've got a big chocolate bar & wine to hand. Take care.

littlepinkfizz · 08/10/2012 12:29

golden don't want to give you false hope but FRER are usually v accurate. I am sorry. Will take a look at your char but don't really know what I'm looking for. X

Irishmammybread · 08/10/2012 13:37

Golden I was so hoping you'd have some good news today.
I'm not an expert on charting but I get the impression you can't read too much into slight dips up and down in temperature if you're still over your coverline,so I don't think you can draw any firm conclusions yet.
Looking at other charts on Fertility Friend you see some temp variations and dips even with people who go on to get BFPs ,though obviously the fact that you've had a First Response negative isn't encouraging,I've never used that brand myself but have heard they usually are accurate.
I'm using my Duofertility monitor but also putting the temps on Fertility Friend at the moment and FF put my ovulation day 24 hrs earlier than Duofertility so I don't know which one was accurate.
It's so difficult for you, waiting for AF/or a big temp drop, or to retest in a few days if neither of those happen, the not knowing but still hoping is tough.
Thinking of you
xxx

goldengirl71 · 08/10/2012 14:07

Thanks everyone. I really am feeling dreadfully sorrowful. The First Response test says it all, really, and that does convince me that AF is imminent. I have to face the fact that it is only CD28 today and I've had two other 28 day periods this year. It's not unusual, then, to have not had AF yet. The high temperatures are what have given me this false hope. That, and fertility friend actually telling me I 'may test today' as 'you may be pregnant!'. Yes, it would seem that way if I had indeed ovulated on day 14 and today was 14DPO but FF may well be wrong and I may have ovulated on day 15 with today only being 13DPO. Even so, these still-high temps are deceiving and cruel and if this really is a no-no month for me I will seriously not be temping again during the 2ww. It is fucking pointless.

goldengirl71 · 08/10/2012 14:30

Hmm..diarrhoea. Which is nice.

goldengirl71 · 08/10/2012 14:32

Cheese, no Wine for me, I'm afraid, as I am a recovering alcoholic. I've been sober for two years and I refuse to let a BFN send me back to rehab!

Irishmammybread · 08/10/2012 15:40

golden, I recommend chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate and a big mug of tea.(I keep an emergency Starbar in my handbag for times of great stress, if things are really bad I have two).
Is your DH around today or is he at work?
Sending you a big hug.

woollywomble · 08/10/2012 16:48

Oh GG - was really hoping for good news, especially as today is such a sad day for you. I'm a novice at this charting stuff, so of no use to you, but hope AF stays away. It ain't over till the fat lady sings, as they say...
