Just Shagging Part 10; No science or skill, JS at will!

Welcome to the lazy way to make a baby, part 10!!

Just Shagging (JS) is ttc using ye olde shagging & crossing fingers methods, our tools are your body, OH?s body..urm some wine & lots of finger crossing.

All are welcome, most leave happy & upduffed! The last two threads have been very successful; thread 8 had 5 BFP?s, thread 9 had 6 BFP?s....so we?re due 7 BFP?s here, which means we all need to get shagging.

We don?t ?do?; OPKS, taking temp or harcore charting...although it is nice to know when ERTD is due.
Which brings us to acronyms & slang;
AF=ERTD (Evil Red Tide Of Doom).
EWCM=Pant Snot
Getting a BFP soon after joining thread= Doing a kitten
You=Are a viroid, no idea why but it goes long back to the dawn of time.
DTD=JS or donning the Shag cape.
POAS=Sometimes referred to as PIAR (Pissing In A Ramekin), as we?re such classy ladies

Here is last thread for proof that it works, and that you can't shut us up Grin

Here is the Graduates thread!

Morning ladies...ERTD finally arrived late last night...thank god. Was beginning to wonder the heck was going on!

DH said he was a wee bit disappointed that it wasn't this month (I'm kinda glad...would've been well shocked if it happened cycle 1!). But DH now seems more keen than ever to make it happen this cycle Grin. Let's just hope DS doesn't interrupt those plans with his incredible non sleeping!

Off to pretend to do some work....finish up on Thursday for 1.5wks...the days seem to be going really slowly this week...

topbannana · 15/08/2012 10:52

Hello again!!
Long time no see JS'ers, and welcome to all the newbies :)
I have been deliberately away for a couple of weeks, I was becoming a little distressed by the continued lack of progress. So this month we are JSing as and when we fancy it though DS is away so things have perked up a bit on that front!! and I have not been frantically peering at my calender or pant snot.
We have a couple of months left before DH gets packed off to the Drs, then we shall see. Sadly we have worked out that next years holiday will be taken (if we succeed in TTC this month) with a 3 month old baby which may somewhat limit our mountain climbing, white water canoeing and sampling of French goodies. If its not this month, then the baby would be even younger or I would be pregnant (FX!)
Anyway good luck to all of you waiting to test, I will pop in again soon :)

Hi top!

Well, even though I'm trying hard not to symptom spot, I have the following:

heartburn
Sore boobs
Tired constantly
Sore back

Now these may not be because of pregnancy, but just PMS. It'll be nice to know either way. roll on Saturday

Rivergirly · 15/08/2012 21:35

Hello all - I have lurked and occasionally messaged but tried not to get too into it as I knew I would just become obsessed but thought I would pop back now as we got a BFP on Monday!!!! Still slightly in shock as I have no symptoms whatsoever other than being thirsty and the lack of ERTD. The in shock bit is that it took 4 years ttc DS1 and this time 3 months since i came off the pill. :O)

fryingpantoface · 15/08/2012 23:02

River that's wonderful! Congratulations!

notsoold · 16/08/2012 00:28

River...many congratulations!!!!
X

Dysgu · 16/08/2012 09:31

Congratulations River how fabulous.

For me, still not ERTD (not sure if it was due on Monday or yesterday) but it has been 26-28 days each cycle since I started tracking it.

I have been thinking more about the logistics of actually having 3DC; if it happens I think we are going to have to change the car and we might have to look at the sleeping arrangements (depending on whether we get lucky with a girl or a boy next time!)

Still, we'll just wait and see if it happens...

With the current 2DC, they are both now patching on their lazy/squinty eyes! DD2 is not impressed and we have yet to tell her that she is probably going to be referred to have the squint surgically corrected as her glasses are no longer coping with it!

notsoold · 16/08/2012 11:51

Morning beautiful Mums to be (yes I do try to be positive)

I am so happy for the BFPs as we need all the good vibes possible.

No jsing for us in this household as stents are still with us! never mind !!!

Instead I am channelling my energy frustation in taking DH and DS everywhere including gasp IKEA to buy plants!!!

Pineapple80 · 16/08/2012 11:57

Congrats River! Smile

Dysgu · 16/08/2012 12:14

So (I am only going to whisper this...)

I just did another test and it does look like there are two lines...

See, I did a test this morning (a cheapy ebay one for early testing) and it only had one line so that is a negative. Then (and I am not usually this slatternly but DP emptied all the bins this morning and had not put them back in the right rooms) I left the test, in the wrapper, on the windowsill. Just now, having taken all the bins back to the rooms upstairs, I went to throw the test away but it dropped out of the wrapper - and there were two lines! I know this may mean nothing as it does say not to read a result after 10 minutes - I usually wait about 30 seconds!!

So, just wondering, I PIASPST (same small plastic storage tub) and (even though I only managed about 0.5tsp and it was my second wee of the day,) there are what seem to be two lines, although the second one is not as dark as the top one but pretty clear.

So tentatively a BFP - I do have a digital Clearblue and will do that later - but I have thrown away the box (it is the 2nd of a two-pack) so does anyone know if I can do that at any time of the day or should I wait (somehow) until tomorrow morning?

WingDefence · 16/08/2012 12:21

Delurking - Dysgu how exciting! My BFP on th itnernet cheaply wasn't that dark at all but it wasn't as faint as can be either IYKWIM. You should be able to do a digital CB at any time and I think if you don't wee for 4 hours it's the same as waiting overnight, as long as you don't drink tons which may dilute it. Good luck!

And you too, River! Woo hoo Grin

notsoold · 16/08/2012 12:22

I don't know dysgu but my fingers are so crossed for you!!!! :)

Dysgu · 16/08/2012 12:35

Thanks Wing - hope things are going well with you.

Right - we are off out and I will only drink a little and not wee and will wait until DP gets home later - about 6pm and will try the Clearblue then.

Thanks notsoold we have everything crossed!

fryingpantoface · 16/08/2012 12:42

Good luck!

Kittenkatzen · 16/08/2012 15:27

wow dysgu how exciting, fingers are firmly crossed for you, keep us posted!

congrats river!

at wing - hope everything's going well for you wing! :)

33andTTC · 16/08/2012 16:51

Good luck dysgu

Im on my first cycle TTC first baby so this just shagging method seems like a great idea to start with!!! think AF is due Sep 5th so will be at it this weekend :)

33andTTC · 16/08/2012 16:53

oooh sorry ERTD not AF. Much better! My OH calls it 'blob a job week'!! ha ha

Dysgu · 16/08/2012 18:02

BFP Grin

DP just got home so I did the digital Clearblue test (found the instructions that I had put in the medical box which said any wee is okay!) and it quickly said pregnant 2-3 weeks which translates to 4-5weeks gone.

So, fingers crossed everything will go well and that will be 3DC all conceived using the JS method - so hopefully will work for the rest of you soon.

My doctor is on holiday but I will call for an appointment for when she gets back. Not really worth seeing another at the surgery although they are all nice but with my history of preemies we will probably have to have the consultant care/midwife-led care argument again.

Plan to carry this one to term anyway!

(Where should I look for the graduates thread?)

swimmingnotdrowning · 16/08/2012 18:12

Huge hooray to dysgu

I miss you wing

fryingpantoface · 16/08/2012 21:34

Welcome 33

Rivergirly · 16/08/2012 21:41

woohoo congrats dysgu - we just completely winged it - mine is dc3 as well - but in the lucky position of still having a spare room and 5/7 seats in the car - so still a couple spare for the new addition plus stepD!

Rivergirly · 16/08/2012 21:42

oooo forgot to say I am probs at about 6 weeks now - the lack of symptoms and having a mega long cycle meant I didnt test very early - usually just completely disappointed!
