Just Shagging Part 10; No science or skill, JS at will!

AWomanCalledHorse · 27/06/2012 14:03

Welcome to the lazy way to make a baby, part 10!!

Just Shagging (JS) is ttc using ye olde shagging & crossing fingers methods, our tools are your body, OH?s body..urm some wine & lots of finger crossing.

All are welcome, most leave happy & upduffed! The last two threads have been very successful; thread 8 had 5 BFP?s, thread 9 had 6 BFP?s....so we?re due 7 BFP?s here, which means we all need to get shagging.

We don?t ?do?; OPKS, taking temp or harcore charting...although it is nice to know when ERTD is due.
Which brings us to acronyms & slang;
AF=ERTD (Evil Red Tide Of Doom).
EWCM=Pant Snot
Getting a BFP soon after joining thread= Doing a kitten
You=Are a viroid, no idea why but it goes long back to the dawn of time.
DTD=JS or donning the Shag cape.
POAS=Sometimes referred to as PIAR (Pissing In A Ramekin), as we?re such classy ladies

Here is last thread for proof that it works, and that you can't shut us up Grin

Here is the Graduates thread!

Oh Frying I miss you too. Sob :( But you have lots of lovely new ladies who have joined recently and I'll be waiting with bated breath on Saturday morning for you and Practising.

Why is DH panicking btw? About the idea of having another completely or just the timing? :(

fryingpantoface · 16/08/2012 22:23

Well, it sounds so stupid but:

Worried about addition costs, we'd also need to move (ok, that's an ok reason)

That ds is a cutie. Which he is, but that no other kid would be as cute/wonderful etc.

either way we're moving next march time, but he's just panicking.

fryingpantoface · 16/08/2012 22:48

I'm aware I might have sounded really smug then. Ds is amazing, he really is, but he's also only 11 months old so we've got time yet for him being a pita.

Hooya · 17/08/2012 05:52

Blimey! I go on hols for a couple of weeks and it's all go around here!

Congrats on the BFPs river and dysgu! Sorry about your news frying, and to the others with ERTD.

We've had a wonderful trip, marred only by the arrival of ERTD, albeit a light one, on the day after we checked into the most amazing hotel room just made for JSing!! Gutted, and a bit worried as it was only day 23 of my cycle... I avoided google but seem to remember short cycles are not a good thing.

Anyway, this is only second cycle off the pill so am just pretending that didn't happen and assuming things will sort themselves out.

Right, just a couple more flights to go and we'll be back to JSing at home!

Kittenkatzen · 17/08/2012 07:35

hooya when you say light - how light?? Only ask because one of the other ladies (wing was it you?) had what they thought was a very light ertd, which turned out to actually be probably implantation. Don't want to get your hopes up at all, but might be worth bearing in mind, unless you're sure it was a proper ertd Smile

fryingpantoface · 17/08/2012 10:53

Right ladies, I piar today. First glance negative, looked again 5 mins later and a faint positive. I'm trying not to get excited, it could be an evap? (I've never had one, neither has any of my mates)

Will test again tomorrow, or maybe later if I get excited

WingDefence · 17/08/2012 11:14

FRYING!! No way! Ooh I am so excited! I don't know what an evap line looks like but I'm sure 5 mins is well within the normal time range of reading a test (i.e. it wasn't 30 mins later).

WingDefence · 17/08/2012 11:16

And yes, Kitten twas I who had 4 days of brown and then PIAR once it stopped. I just knew that what had come out in total wasn't enough to be a normal ERTD IYKWIM.

Hooya you're right that it's only the first cycle after coming off the pill so all sorts of odd things can happen. Last summer my first few cycles were stupidly long. I really honestly felt pg but it wasn't to be. That's not to say I don't wish you a speedy BFP :)

fryingpantoface · 17/08/2012 11:24

Have done another test. It's developing now. 5 min warning!

fryingpantoface · 17/08/2012 11:29

Another faint positive!

Do I take it as an official? Do I test again tomorrow?

WingDefence · 17/08/2012 11:45

Yes take it as official!! You may wish to do what Dysgu, Something and I amongst others have done and get yourself a Clearblue digital for peace of mind :)

Wow - three BFNs in 3 days! It shows that the JSing method does work. Who wants the next one? Grin

tiredteddy · 17/08/2012 11:50

Hi all just having a lurk! Looks like lots of BFPs at the moment. Brilliant news for all! Keep JS everyone it is working Grin

fryingpantoface · 17/08/2012 11:57

I'll do the clear blue tomorrow

ChristineDaae · 17/08/2012 11:58

Wow congratulations to all of you with BFPs!! Just goes to show how effective JSing really is!! Grin

fryingpantoface · 17/08/2012 14:40

I just did a clear blue digital. Pregnant 1-2 weeks.

Which goes along with the 4 weeks tomorrow thing.

I'm actually in shock

33andTTC · 17/08/2012 14:53

Oficial Clear Blue Congrats frying!!! :) :) :)

Kittenkatzen · 17/08/2012 15:02

omg congrats frying so pleased for you!! :)

any more bfps and the thread will be empty!

swimmingnotdrowning · 17/08/2012 16:39

Hooray! FX that we do empty the thread this month. How good would that be?

OrangeLily · 17/08/2012 18:03

Ohhh I want to join in too but new DH says we have to wait until we have our new house! We're mid buying one though so hopefully soon!

Should I read all 32 pages of this thread or just come back when I'm actually JS. (Not that we're not now obviously.....but not in the right fashion!)

somethingwittynot · 17/08/2012 19:30

getting busy on the grads thread now! i love coming back here and seeing whats going on!

heard my beans heartbeat today at 12+1

Hooya · 17/08/2012 23:35

Wow wow frying, congrats! I remember reading your posts when i first started lurking here, and really hoping things would work out, so pleased and excited for you!

I think the words 'lucky thread' are unavoidable at this point!

It's funny, my ERTD wasn't anything near as heavy as the one i had last month which was the frist proper one off the pill. But i'm sure it was too heavy to be implantation; (tmi alert) it was red not just brown, whereas i think implantation is only supposed to be brown. Plus i have no other symptoms, so i'm sure it was ertd. Quite apart from it being harder to conceive with a short cycle, i really don't want ertd every 3 weeks :(

Anyway this is only cycle 2 for me so i mustn't be greedy!

I feel quite silly, sitting here in a rather fancy business lounge on my way home from hols, grinninng from ear to ear at all the upduffedness on this lovely thread!

notsoold · 17/08/2012 23:38

Congratulations frying....very happy for you :)

Hooya · 17/08/2012 23:38

Oops sorry cross post - welcome Orange, you must be excited!

And something - amazing news, did you shed a tear? Or several!?

hehaditcoming · 17/08/2012 23:45

LOL

OrangeLily · 18/08/2012 00:03

Thanks Hooya. All this info everyone seems to know is quite overwhelming by we're still young so we're just going to give it a go and see what happens over the next few years. Well in a month or so....(or three months if H gets his way!)

I like the wine rule here Smile
