Just Shagging Part 10; No science or skill, JS at will!

AWomanCalledHorse · 27/06/2012 14:03

Welcome to the lazy way to make a baby, part 10!!

Just Shagging (JS) is ttc using ye olde shagging & crossing fingers methods, our tools are your body, OH?s body..urm some wine & lots of finger crossing.

All are welcome, most leave happy & upduffed! The last two threads have been very successful; thread 8 had 5 BFP?s, thread 9 had 6 BFP?s....so we?re due 7 BFP?s here, which means we all need to get shagging.

We don?t ?do?; OPKS, taking temp or harcore charting...although it is nice to know when ERTD is due.
Which brings us to acronyms & slang;
AF=ERTD (Evil Red Tide Of Doom).
EWCM=Pant Snot
Getting a BFP soon after joining thread= Doing a kitten
You=Are a viroid, no idea why but it goes long back to the dawn of time.
DTD=JS or donning the Shag cape.
POAS=Sometimes referred to as PIAR (Pissing In A Ramekin), as we?re such classy ladies

Here is last thread for proof that it works, and that you can't shut us up Grin

Here is the Graduates thread!

Hello! Just dropping in from hols to say hello, and welcome to the new people! No time to post properly but plenty of holiday JSing here, and i guess i am now in my first proper 2ww!

Hope everyone is well, JSing and enjoying August!

Pineapple80 · 10/08/2012 18:12

Hi all, I'm new! Loving this thread, just couldn't bring myself to join the more "full on" ones! DH and I plan ttc #1 on my next cycle, so in about 2-3 wks time! Excited, nervous etc etc but will take thing as they come :-)

Dysgu · 11/08/2012 08:37

Welcome to the new people - we are all very friendly here!

This weekend we will probably be at the beach but it might be a discussion as to which one; girls want sand and bouncy slides but DP want to see the racing as Cowes Week starts today (yacht racing) but that means north of the island and pebbly beaches. Me? I don't care as long as I have a book!

I will also be trying to get DD2 to do a poo!

notsoold · 11/08/2012 09:28

welcome pineapple exciting times ahead for you and DH !!!!

have a lovely and happy Saturday JSers !!!!

Pineapple80 · 11/08/2012 13:31

Thanks notsoold!

fryingpantoface · 11/08/2012 18:03

Hey ladies!

I'm currently on 7dpo. My pant snot is creamy and plentiful. Nice!

I feel pregnant, I really do. Could just be wishful thinking. I'm due next Sat, so I'll test then, if I can hold out!

Today marks the anniversary of when I met my DH. We're also celebrating our wedding anniversary cos it's ds birthday the same day next month.

Plans for this week?

NicolaHazel · 11/08/2012 18:32

I had plentiful creamy pant snot at 7dpo too, frying. :-)

Apparently you're not meant to have pant snot at that point, according to Zita West.

Fx your feeling's accurate.

fryingpantoface · 11/08/2012 18:44

Rubbish!

But, who is Zita West?

NicolaHazel · 11/08/2012 18:46

Some baby making expert.

Her CM chart shows that at that point in your cycle you should be dry. Or have dry CM, not creamy. I forget which as I was half asleep when I read it!

fryingpantoface · 11/08/2012 18:48

Ha ha

I'll look for it online

NicolaHazel · 11/08/2012 18:54

I'd fetch the book to look, but I have family here so it isn't the ideal time!

Showmethemhappyfeet · 12/08/2012 09:24

Hi all, so I POAS on Monday, negative. Still no sign of ERTD, so still no clue whats going wrong. After seeing the references to the 'right kind of pant snot' on here, I googled, and pretty sure that's what I had last Sunday. Did a lot of JSing over the week just in case.
So with the absence of ERTD and no clue why, should I just test a month either till ERTD shows up or a stick gets 2 lovely lines?
Had a lovely week otherwise, my parents visited and had a great time taking DD all around her fave places Smile
Hope everyone is doing well.

Grannyapple · 12/08/2012 16:31

Hi ladies...can I join please? Been on a similar thread 2 yrs ago, when I found out I was pg with ds1 (now almost 18 months).

Ttc #2...1st cycle, but js-ing as & when (& obv at critical pant snot time, tho didn't quite manage that this month as DH was on night shift patterns at work Hmm). ERTD due yesterday but tested yesterday afternoon & BFN (CB digi). Still don't feel 'right' (have been nauseous, bloated, knackered since Thursday ..had to go for a nap yesterday afternoon which is most unlike me!) will wait til Tuesday & POAS again on Tuesday if nothing happened before then.

fryingpantoface · 12/08/2012 21:37

Welcome Granny!

Sounds promising! Fingers crossed for you!

Grannyapple · 12/08/2012 22:15

Cheers frying. I'm still not convinced tbh...have had cramping on & off since Thursday which is unusual (normally only on the day for me), but I'd be shocked if it happened 1st cycle....we were just enjoying the intimacy of the 2 of us again Wink. Just occurred to me that I'm wondering if taking folio acid/multivitamin has mucked up my cycle a bit, tho I switch from sanatogen to sainsbury's own brand this month?? Hey ho, we'll see what this week brings...

Good luck to all the js-ers, those on 2ww & impending testers!

TobyLerone · 13/08/2012 08:01

Ladies, I'm probably the shortest-lived member you've ever had, but I shall be taking my leave of you temporarily.

On Saturday, my lovely DP proposed to me, and we've decided that we don't want to get married with a small child in tow. Neither do I want to have to go without alcohol at the most expensive party I've ever thrown :o
So we're going to get married soon and then get back to JSing.

I will be back! Good luck, all. And thanks for the undeserved welcome :)

fryingpantoface · 13/08/2012 09:03

Congratulations!

Showmethemhappyfeet · 13/08/2012 09:36

Congratulations Toby!

TobyLerone · 13/08/2012 10:16

Thanks :) Not the kind of congratulations I expected on this thread!

Kittenkatzen · 13/08/2012 11:57

Wow congratulations toby how exciting!

Morning all, and welcome to the newbies :)

happyfeet any sign of ertd or a bfp yet? It's crap when your body plays games on you like that - hope you get something one way or the other very soon.

frying belated happy anniversary! Sounds very positive for you this month, will keep my fingers firmly crossed for an anniversary bfp for you! :)

CD15 for me, so we are shagging like something at the moment :o

AWomanCalledHorse · 13/08/2012 12:58

Congratulations Toby!! You know this means you'll get pregnant this month Wink

Frying, sounds promising! Happy belated anniversary!

Welcome Pineapple & apple...we've almost got a fruit basket now Grin

kitten, enjoy!

ERTD is on its last day & I've just started supplements to help my PMT so looking forward to this month...DS is at PIL this week, missing my bayyyybbbbeeee. :(

happyfeet, fingers are crossed for you!

hooya, hope you had a great holiday?

Dysgu, did you have a good weekend? I'd go sandy over pebbley anytime, spent childhood on Brighton/Hastings/Eastbourne beaches...pebble castles aren't as fun!

Hope everyone has a great week!

OP posts:
Showmethemhappyfeet · 13/08/2012 13:16

No sign of either. Worked out last night, 9 weeks since last ERTD, 3 weeks since stopped taking pill.
Fingers crossed for BFPs all round Smile

Dysgu · 13/08/2012 16:08

Gosh, the weekends go by so quickly! The girls had a fabulous time at the (sandy) beach with DP on Saturday and then swimming on Sunday as the sea was a bit too cold on Saturday! It's all very busy here now that Cowes Week has started - lots of fun stuff in town and perfect excuses for ice cream on the sea front.

I am doing really well with my 'healthy' eating. I have lost a few pounds this week just by not snacking between meals. We went to the local shop this morning (on way back from Docs re constipated child Hmm ) and girls spent some of their pocket money. I looked at the chocolate - even checked out the calories to see if there was a 'low' one and then decided not to have anything. I did buy a frappuccino mocha drink instead but that was low fat! I have never paid much attention to such things before but I am heading towards a size 16 and I was size 10 before DD1 so I want to get back to a healthy weight/healthy eating. The evenings are the hardest - I think I eat when I am bored - so I have started my planning for the new school year! Boring but keeps me busy!

Toby congratulations - hope the wedding plans go well. Probably a good idea - we got engaged before we had DD1 but have never done anything about getting married.

apple thanks for mentioning the folic acid - I have forgotten to take mine for the past few days. Will go catch up now. Good luck with POAS tomorrow.

Show any sign of two red lines yet? My ERTD is due on Wednesday but I am not feeling too hopeful. This is cycle 5 for us and we caught first time with DD1 and DD2 - of course, we are that much older now. We did quite well on the JSing earlier in my cycle tho so perhaps...

swimmingnotdrowning · 13/08/2012 18:57

Jeepers-oh you girls can talk - I've been away for a week and it's taken me nearly forever to catch up with the chatter.

Thoughts are with those with sad news and those with uncertainty. And also hello to the newbies!

Gross question (actually Hooya's originally so you can blame / credit her Wink) - how do you tell the difference between pant snot and, erm, post-JS leakage? How long after JS do you think the leakage lasts? (things you can't ask in RL!!!)

Good to be back Smile

Practisingparent · 13/08/2012 20:30

Hmmm, I have often wondered the same thing swimming, but for me I tend to give it atleast 12 hours to drain, unless you have been lying down for most of that time (night time), It can only drain properly with gravity to assist! HTH

Welcome newbies!

Desperately trying to keep my mind off wondering whether this could be my month...blasted 2ww, however pretty sure when I ov so ertd should be here by end of this week, testing on saturday if not! Will go check how long my luteal phase is normally is... (have been charting ertds for last 6months!)
