Due to overwhelming monthly disappointments, a few of us have decided to go the traditional route.

Coupled with that, we know that one CAN'T have pregnancy symptoms unless one is ACTUALLY pregnant and that only actually happens after implantation. Which is normally about 10DPO then it takes a couple days to show up in the urine etc etc so pregnancy symptoms can only really be felt at about 13DPO.

The purpose of this thread is three fold:

  • Support in TTC (mostly for first-timers)
  • No symptom spotting allowed AT ALL
  • Trying to exclude sticks (but we know that sometimes they're necessary)

So this will be practical application of theories and science.

We pledge to be honest and open and practical.
We pledge to give utmost support to each other in our struggle TTC
And we pledge to not give false hope or support symptom spotting until well after 13DPO

CD19 of 28 so probably not OV but will keep DTD. I think I must have missed it or had anovulatory cycle. Won't be surprised if am very late this cycle.

So probably won't bother with testing much in June. Not convinced :)

Just keep at it and it ain't over till af arrives Grin

NicolaHazel · 03/06/2012 15:48

If anyone deserves it this month, you do Kicking...you've put in so much DTD effort! :-)

KickingUpQuestions · 03/06/2012 15:49

Yep will keep at it but will get pre seed next month. Haven't seen any fertile cm so that could be the problem.

There is always next cycle.

Feel calmer about it though.

KickingUpQuestions · 03/06/2012 16:29

Poas. But i will still DTD because i don't really believe it Grin

But i caved. Bad kicking.

NicolaHazel · 03/06/2012 16:34

It was positive?! :-D

KickingUpQuestions · 03/06/2012 16:46

Oh hell no. I have had two positive OPKs in about a year.

They aren't really reliable but thought could try just in case

NicolaHazel · 03/06/2012 16:57

Ah, bugger!

There is always hope though...you're not out yet. :-)

KickingUpQuestions · 03/06/2012 17:00

Oh i meant i did an ovulation test :-)

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 03/06/2012 17:05

I worked that out after your second post :-)

What CD are you?

KickingUpQuestions · 03/06/2012 17:09

CD19 today out of a 28 - 29 day cycle.

I suppose its a bit late really. Would make my luteal phase very short.

Oh well. At least i have 9 days until AF and i only realised that an hour ago.

DTD lots and and as late in the cycle as possible.

Am still going to DTD for the next week

How do you normally know if you've ovulated kicking?

I found I very very bad website. I'm not going to tell anyone about it. Send you mad on 2ww it would!

Pinkie29 · 03/06/2012 17:17

Is it countdown to pregnancy?!

I have af type cramps atm!

Kittenkatzen · 03/06/2012 17:18

I would have said it's probably ov cramps too kicking maybe you're just having a longer cycle this time round. Stranger things have happened, don't give up just yet.....

Totally agree with whoever it was that said women are harder to get on with than men, especially in terms of work- I deliberately avoid jobs where I would be working for a woman, ime they have too much to prove. Always an ulterior motive and often a chip on the shoulder to boot.

Wow I feel for you ladies that hit puberty so young....although back then I'd have been envious of you - I was a late starter. I remember begging my mum to buy me a training bra at 13 as I was the only girl not to have - or need - one. Got my period a week or so after my 16th birthday.

Kittenkatzen · 03/06/2012 17:19

Pickle what's the website?! Whisper it..... :)

KickingUpQuestions · 03/06/2012 17:36

Er i normally had ewcm and spotting. But i looked for it. I haven't looked before.

The thing with me is that i am very regular so i definitely ovulate. I just don't really know when.

Hence ditching the sticks. Its a lot of stress for something that potentially doesn't work the same from person to person

An really praying I'm not coming on, if i do that's 11/12dpo would I then have a short luteal phase? Hmm I have eaten a tonne of veg the last couple of days do could be intestine cramp Smile

KickingUpQuestions · 03/06/2012 20:42

Stop torturing yourself!!

When is AF due again?

OP posts:
Pinkie29 · 03/06/2012 20:47

Wed or thurs I think, I'm basing that on when I think I ovd as unless your pg you should come on no later than 14dpo as this the general length of a luteal phase

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 03/06/2012 20:48

Anything over 10 days is ok anyway 11/12 would be fine! There are a couple of ladies on here with that who've had no problems. Don't worry!!

KickingUpQuestions · 03/06/2012 20:53

Yet i have heard 10 days.

They say if you implant ever 12dpo then that's not good but a 10 day luteal phase is fine.

If i am in track i would have a 9 day luteal phase from today so i hope i did OV

test the day before af or the day af should arrive. That should be positive then :)

I'm another one who gets on with males better than females, although I do have female friends they all tend to be quite like myself as in they mainly get on with males better too, so we're all ok Smile At work though most of the bitchiness comes from the women so I try to stay away from that as much as poss.

I don't really know much about luteal phases but would I be right in thinking they are generally 10-16 days long (but can differ slightly)? I have no idea how long mine is, I'm now CD22 now out of 30 and I'm sure I have already OV (see my next point!) so I guess mine is at least 10 days?.

I've had REALLY sore boobs for about 2 days now. In the past I'd be thinking 'symptom'? But thanks to this thread I'm now thinking that my boobs are sore due to hormone rise post-OV and that this would happen anyway, pg or not! So its just normal, its not a symptom! Haha, hope I stay this relaxed the closer I get to af - 8 days and counting Grin

Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 14:23

So we all hate women Grin

I'm the same i steer well clear of bitchiness and ppl whose lives revolve around drama

NicolaHazel · 04/06/2012 14:28

Yep...I'm in on the women-hating too!

There's a girl in my team at work who's not only a lazy cow, but a total and utter blatant slag-you-off-in-front-of-you bitch too. Awful, awful person. :-/

Our manager really isn't interested in sorting either issue out though :-(

QueenOfTheDrama · 04/06/2012 14:31

Glad we've all found each other then - I'd probably get on with you lot in RL! Grin

nicola I hate people like that but just remember what goes around comes around and all that.
