No Symptoms, No Google, No sticks

Due to overwhelming monthly disappointments, a few of us have decided to go the traditional route.

Coupled with that, we know that one CAN'T have pregnancy symptoms unless one is ACTUALLY pregnant and that only actually happens after implantation. Which is normally about 10DPO then it takes a couple days to show up in the urine etc etc so pregnancy symptoms can only really be felt at about 13DPO.

The purpose of this thread is three fold:

  • Support in TTC (mostly for first-timers)
  • No symptom spotting allowed AT ALL
  • Trying to exclude sticks (but we know that sometimes they're necessary)

So this will be practical application of theories and science.

We pledge to be honest and open and practical.
We pledge to give utmost support to each other in our struggle TTC
And we pledge to not give false hope or support symptom spotting until well after 13DPO

That is one of 2 things keeping me sane. Queen. The other being that I will have to leave the team during my training contract (to become a solicitor) next year, and the Training Principal already knows I have no intention of qualifying into the area I work in now! My manager doesn't though. :-)

KickingUpQuestions · 04/06/2012 21:36

I am glad we all met too. Pinkie isk leaving us soon too.

I am sure this month isnt going to be my month. i dont mind but next month we will go for everything. natural and helpful.

Sad in the nicest possible way I don't want to leave your all so nice!!

KickingUpQuestions · 04/06/2012 21:53

You dont have to! There is no rule ;)

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 04/06/2012 21:59

Well it certainly won't be my month, barring miracles! Doubt I'll fall that fast.

Feel free to all hang around to keep me company once your BFPs appear :-)

Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 22:41

I'll be hanging round no fear Smile had a lurk on the pregnancy forums a d decided I'm not going to join any, would drive me crazy with questions and worry!

I don't know if it's a 'symptom' but the last 3 days I've been exhausted and super hungry a few hours after eating both very unusual for me!

NicolaHazel · 04/06/2012 22:56

Could well be! :-)

Glad you'll still be about...already lost a few since I came! Though maybe the fertility will rub off, ha ha!

KickingUpQuestions · 04/06/2012 23:02

pinkie if the hormone is in your system then you could well attribute it to pg.

i am quite worried about myself. i still have thia insatiable thirst and a bladder the size of a penny. its been over a month now

OP posts:
WhosPickleisThatOnion · 04/06/2012 23:45

Wasn't that website pinkie was worse!!

QueenOfTheDrama · 05/06/2012 00:05

kicking why don't you think this will be your month? You've certainly put the effort in! Smile I hope that everything is ok but maybe see your GP if you're worried about the thirst thing?

pinkie when I was last pg I wasn't keeping track of my cycles so didn't realise I was late - the things that made me suspect I was pg were ridiculously sore boobs and a raging hunger, and it turned out that I was! Glad to hear you'll be sticking around btw! Smile

Pinkie29 · 05/06/2012 08:15

Ah I've had an awful nights sleep Sad woke up every two hours still very crampy! Queen After my last msg I had to go get a sandwich haha!

Pickles I dread to think what's worse than the countdown website!

Kicking you've dtd so much this month you have every chance Smile

KickingUpQuestions · 05/06/2012 09:29

The cramps shouldnt last too long. i think the norm is a day or two.

I have just felt more positive before. no actual reason i guess.

i have a doctor appointment on the 12 june for the thirst thing . i wake up every hour desperate for water and desperate for the looked. i am also sure my bladder has weakened.

Pinkie29 · 05/06/2012 09:35

Just worrying and kicking myself for testing early d'oh Smile

I've been a lot more positive too and your 'no symptoms' mantra has been a huge help thank you!!

Kittenkatzen · 05/06/2012 09:40

kicking definitely see a doctor if you've had those symptoms for a while, just in case.

pinkie of course there's no need for you to leave us, besides we'd miss you if you went!

Pinkie29 · 05/06/2012 09:50

Cheers kitten Smile kicking could it be a uti? I suffer from them regular they send me loopy! First sign is constant desperation to pee a d waking up all night

KickingUpQuestions · 05/06/2012 10:23

no its not a uti. i finished 4L of water between 8pm last night and 9am this morning. i am getting up at night and drinking milk, orange juice, coke, water...every hour. i think it could be related to progesterone but no idea why only this month and last month?

either way its not good so they need to check it out

it couldn't be worse if i was pregnant so i know where all the toilets are in London now :D

On another note, i realised this morning that i am cd22 and 6 days before af should arrive. i will start testing soon.

pink - i have been the same. no symptom spotting or knowing when i OVed has made me very relaxed this cycle. its really nice actually :)

Inappropriate story coming:

My best mate and I started deciding we wanted kiddies but code named them "disease carriers" (which i still think is funny) and shortened it to "DC's"

I can't believe they are dc's on here. I couldn't bring myself to call them that Grin

OP posts:
QueenOfTheDrama · 05/06/2012 11:26

lol kicking "DCs" Grin Could you see if you could get a doc's app sooner to put your mind at rest? OMG 6 days to af! I have 7 days left - its getting soon!!

KickingUpQuestions · 05/06/2012 11:33

i booked it last month already when i had it. i will give them a ring tomorrow and see what they say.

its frustrating actually. i have no idea what could cause it. it got worse around this time last month as well then seems to taper off.

told DH i will start pg testing when i am not up all night piddling

OP posts:
Pinkie29 · 05/06/2012 11:36

Haha @ disease carriers!

NicolaHazel · 05/06/2012 12:02

Disease carriers?! Inappropriately LMAO! :-)

NicJayne · 05/06/2012 16:53

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining? I'm 7DPO and 7 days til AF (well, hopefully not!!). I've spent the last couple of cycles obsessing about symptoms (am I more tired than usual? Are my nipples getting darker (seriously?!?!?), am I nauseous?) but thanks to this thread I'm not really thinking about them. Just wanted to say thanks for saving my sanity!

Good luck to us all x

NicolaHazel · 05/06/2012 17:01

Hi NicJayne, the more the merrier! :-)

QueenOfTheDrama · 05/06/2012 19:05

redstrawberry · 05/06/2012 20:41
