TTC first baby

Hello all! DH and I are TTC our first baby, I'm 31, he's 32. We've only been trying for a month so it is extremely early days but I'm so excited at the prospect.

DH may have some fertility issues (picked up on a scan) but I was pretty convinced it was going to be a BFP straight away as I had so many symptoms - but that shows how much I know! Blush

Is anyone else TTC their first baby? Please join and keep me company!!

Does DP know pinkie? Aww bet the two of you won't be able to talk about anything else today! Smile Must be so lovely, I absolutely cannot wait till the day I show my DH our BFP Smile

Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 10:54

Yeah I phoned him and sent him a pic! He's home now and (quietly) hopeful Smile

NicolaHazel · 04/06/2012 10:55

KFFOREVER · 04/06/2012 18:29

ahhh Pinkie thats great news. :) My AF came yesterday. Very disappointed. Heres to testing in July (wine)

Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 19:14

Thanks ladies I'm trying so hard not to get too excited! Tho am already thinking we'll have to postpone moving house and worried about dps bday in August and what I'll tell ppl when I'm not drinking?

He's been fairly quiet I asked if he's pleased he said of course but doesn't want to get his hopes until we've had a clearer result! Of course I've been making stupid jokes all day 'you drive im pregnant, I can't pick that up I'm pregnant, you can't smack my bum I'm pregnant!' Grin

Pinkie29 · 04/06/2012 19:15

Sorry the witch got you forever! I shall be lurking for a while yet to see you all get your bfps Grin

BryonyJ · 04/06/2012 20:09

Hi everyone, hubby and i have been ttc for 4 months, im coming up to 21 and he's 22. came off the pill in february and have been actively trying ever since, and obviously foolishly thought it would be easy, seem as how virtually everyone else around me seems to have managed it without even trying :( i normally have a very regular cycle and period is now roughly 2 weeks late. 2 negative tests later and am now starting to get really confused :/ had some very light bleeding but nothing really to speak of. HELP!!!!

QueenOfTheDrama · 05/06/2012 00:15

Welcome bryony Smile if you're not pg then maybe your body is still reacting to the pill? Not very helpful sorry!

pinkie I love that idea - I'll be telling DH to carry the shopping, do the hoovering, walk the dog (I could go on and on), as obviously I can't do any of that stuff once I'm pg haha Grin

EchoDragon · 05/06/2012 07:16

Hi bryony
I wouldn't worry too much. I stopped my contraception mid May. Am currently on day 47 of current cycle. Angry

With two BFN. I think things just take a while to settle down after using contraception for a long time.

Pinkie29 · 05/06/2012 08:11

Welcome bryony, if your that worried visit you doc for a blood test? As dragon says it takes a while for things to settle.

As for long cycles... Vitex Grin worked for me!

Pinkie29 · 05/06/2012 08:18

Queen - he raised an eyebrow when I said 'you have 9 months of this!' hehe!

MumOfTwoCats · 05/06/2012 09:16

Hi Bryony. I do think its your body clearing out the contraception. It'll calm down soon I'm sure. Sorry I can't offer any advice.

QueenOfTheDrama · 05/06/2012 10:20

haha pinkie - don't forget that you can't do anything post-birth for a while either Wink You have to milk this!!

KickingUpQuestions · 05/06/2012 10:34

i play the "i could be pregnant " card so can even get away with it before you fall pregnant :D

Pinkie29 · 05/06/2012 10:41

Oh I've ready said once we have a dc I'm off on a 9 month bender and he can babysit Grin

KickingUpQuestions · 05/06/2012 10:47

sazzababs · 05/06/2012 10:56

Meh, here I was faffing about where to park myself on MN... Been lurking for a few months since coming off the Pill in Jan this year and have been JS rather than paying attention to cycle days, BBTs CM etc... 3 positives so far and 5 days late on AF... Getting a bit of cramping though so keeping sctum just now and trying not to freak out!! Holy jeebus, sorry about the possible 'kitten'!... XD Hope everyone is well!

Pinkie29 · 05/06/2012 11:01

Lol is this a hello goodbye sazza? Congrats!

sazzababs · 05/06/2012 11:11

Lol Pinkie, I posted here in May trying to claim a spot hahahaha! Still very early days so I'm not going anywhere just now :) The only thing I've been doing is keeping an eye on my ERTD dates thru an iShan app... Can't be bothered doing much else! Too busy to do much else and as I work shifts, BBTs could be difficult...

NicolaHazel · 05/06/2012 11:14

Goodness...Sazza speeding through on the way to the pregnancy part! Congrats! :-)

I'm not sure we are ERS enough to get results...5, 6, 9, 12, 14 and an impromptu 15 this morning! :D Hurrah for Jubilee DTD!

Pinkie, were you as, ummm, active as Kicking, or is there hope? Difficult as no idea about my cycle yet either.

NicolaHazel · 05/06/2012 11:17

ERS? DTD! Bloody phone!

QueenOfTheDrama · 05/06/2012 11:19

Congrats sazza!

nicola sounds like you've been dtd plenty! Don't worry! Smile

NicolaHazel · 05/06/2012 11:25

That's good to know...really couldn't do a Kicking!
