TTC first baby

Hello all! DH and I are TTC our first baby, I'm 31, he's 32. We've only been trying for a month so it is extremely early days but I'm so excited at the prospect.

DH may have some fertility issues (picked up on a scan) but I was pretty convinced it was going to be a BFP straight away as I had so many symptoms - but that shows how much I know!

Is anyone else TTC their first baby? Please join and keep me company!!

I am so impatient generally I'm going to be an utter nightmare waiting for pregnancy to happen!

Ha ha @ first unprotected DTD! Can I join? Been on the waiting to TTC thread for three years and hopefully (fingers crossed) this is our month to start TTC. We've not been particularly careful recently but we're ramping things up from this point onwards!

Welcome Harpie! Good luck with ttc! This was our 1st months ttc and today is the D-day when I found out how it went! Have you been on some contraception before?
Nicole - good luck to you too! Try not to think about it to much! It will drive you crazy! I know its driving me crazy! Every single day I have been analysing whether or not I'm pg! I haven't though about anything else this month!

Hello Nicola and Popinda thanks for the welcome, it's such a huge thread I was in two minds whether to join it! Good luck with DTD today Nicola and fingers crossed for testing Popinda!

It's sort of our second month really, as we really took carelessness to a new level last month. Luckily we didn't have an "accident" because it's only this month I qualify for the maternity package at work! Came off the pill about a year and a half ago, just used temping for quite a while, then Persona monitor, then more and more reckless guesswork!

Already done it, ha ha...but I know that today is exceptionally unlikely to result in a baby. Think that wouldn't happen for a couple of weeks.

I have got pumpkin seeds coming with my shopping this week for H2B to put in his porridge. Every little helps!

What does H2B stand for?

The weather is gorgeous...shame I've been struggling to shift a virus this week so feel like crap and can't be arsed to go out particularly! :-(

And yes...TTC started in earnest this morning. Have to not think about it too much though. Despite thinking about it all the time already!!

Hi Queen, yes it's lovely weather here :-)

We went to Britain's smallest pub when I got back from work yesterday. I had two shandies and was labelled gay by H2B. Decided it was best option as cutting down though.

Is that the little one on the promenade? I've never been there but always wanted to go in! I can imagine it'd be a tad busy while the weather is like this though - as is the whole area generally when its hot! Its a nightmare isn't it, takes me twice as long to get to work when its sunny!

I was a bit drunk yesterday nicola I wouldn't worry too much! Only had a couple of wines though so not excessive, I think I'm just turning into more of a lightweight the older I get (anyone remember being able to drink like a fish at 18 with no hangover the next day?!)

God, yeah...the amount I drank when younger is unreal. And unthinkable now!

And yes, the little one on the prom. It has lots of tables outside, which is good :-) It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. Maybe people mainly head for Lord St after work?

nicola if I drank that much nowadays I'd have a horrendous 3-day hangover on my hands! Yeah people prob do go Lord St after work, I bet the whole area is packed today though with it being Saturday! I for one will be staying away, hate crowds! Got another BBQ later at my friend's house- how fab is this weekend!

Yeah, I'm avoiding it...crowds are just horrible!

The weather is brilliant today, I did an early morning shuffle round tesco (which was rammed, everyone must have had the same idea!) and have spent the rest of the day sunning myself in the garden :) its like being on holiday. Ooh and DH just handed me a nice cold shandy....lovely :o
