Stephie - I've got PCOS and tbh I've read up quite a lot of stuff over last 5 or 6 years since i was told about it. Def keeping your BMI in the healthy range, eating healthily and getting some exercise helps a lot in terms of regulating your hormones, which is what would show up in your blood work. Despite the fact that it's called polycystic ovarian syndrome, there are some women with PCOS who don't even get cysts on their ovaries (tho i do), and recent research thinks that the cysts are just a symptom of what is really causing the whole thing. Just like everyone with the flu might have different symptoms (some people might be queasy, others have a temp, others sneezing all the time etc), not all women get all the same pcos symptoms so whether u have a scan or not doesn't actually matter all that much. There's some good resources to check out over here: forum.verity-pcos.org.uk/ Just keep it in mind if you're having any probs ttc that if you were told u were PCOS before, even if your recent bloodwork is showing improved hormone balance, PCOS could still be a factor in making it slightly more difficult to get pg and you should be able to skip some of the waiting list to get a referral (if u want one)
Crafty - Yes it is possible to have your period even if you haven't OV, but don't panic! I'm crap at temp-ing, so I'd be chalking it up to technical difficulties on that front rather than panicking that your temp hasn't spiked so that means you're not OV. It's more likely to be your thermometer playing up hopefully
ted - ha ha, pretty woman sex, i love that! DH hasn't seen pretty woman but if he had he def would have described last night like that, wasn't really in the mood but thought we'd probably better dtd again anyway. so we did and it was fun, but too conscious of the fact that my alarm was going off at 6.45 to bother with much kissing lol
Jealous of ladies with regular cycles / accurate temp charts / positive OPKs who know when they're in their 2WW and can stop dtd. I should be in my 2WW to but not sure if I've even OV this month so going to keep determinedly dtd right up until AF arrives. If AF arrives. Which, hopefully, it won't! But I'm going to literally be shagged out!!!
