Had a search for a may BFP thread and couldn't see one (please correct me if there is!) so thought I'd start one..

curiousgeorgie - TTC #2 - Testing April 29th

Anyone with me?

OP posts:
blueblizz · 23/04/2012 18:43

Thanks for putting me on the list openminded.

CraftyGirly · 23/04/2012 19:12

evenin' :)
I've had the weirdest feeling all day, kind of like a nervous feeling in my chest area? it could be me stressing about work which I told myself I WILL NOT DO, but could it be down to OV? anyone else experienced this?

on a different note, I have fallen out with my thermometer Angry

Geeklette · 23/04/2012 19:44

So sorry I've not been keeping up with the banter, I do pop in most days to see what's going on but finding the time to post uninterrupted seems to be almost impossible!

My very first positive OPK test today (at least, the leading edge of the test line was as dark as the control line, so I'm taking that as a positive rather than miss the main event!).

Not quite sure when I will be due to test any more - was eagerly awaiting AF as I thought I had ov'd about three weeks ago, but no sign and now this! Could well be testing nearer the 10th/12th. I very much doubt I will have the patience to wait until the 19th now, but I'm not going to change it - give myself something to aim for (and AF a chance to prove she's not turning up) Grin

Good luck to all, I promise I read (almost) every post on here I'm just terrible at finding the time to post myself xx

Sticklebricksuk · 23/04/2012 19:49

Ha Rue that's exactly what I told my DH as well, for the exact same reasons!! I admit it was in those exact words as well!
6DPO for me here, first month temping and have had a definite rise so for the first time since starting TTC I know I've ovulated yay!! Just playing the waiting game now. Pffft.

Hai1988 · 23/04/2012 20:02

When u temp when and where on the body do take the temp from?

RightUpMyRue · 23/04/2012 20:05

I decided to temp this cycle too Stickle. Whilst it won't magically make it happen I like the feeling of being able to see what's happening...or not.

Sticklebricksuk · 23/04/2012 20:05

I take it orally at 6.40 every morning as that's when I get up for work, and slightly later of a weekend. I only tried doing it because after 5 months TTC I was worried I wasn't ovulating as OPKs were always negative. I can't tell you how delighted I was to the the rise and therefore how much I'd recommend temping just from a peace of mind point of view. I know folk say its more accurate if you take your temp vaginally or rectally but frankly I'll still with my mouth ta!

Sticklebricksuk · 23/04/2012 20:08

Oh damn iPhone sorry for all the spelling mistakes. Sure you all know what I mean though!
Rue I know it won't make it happen but like you I'm just delighted to see a bit what's going on and the reassurance that I'm not broken!

LittleMissSnowShine · 23/04/2012 21:51

hello ladies,

positive flurry of activity on here, everyone dtd, checking their opks, symptom spotting etc must be getting to that time of the month Wink

still none the wiser as to whether i've actually OV this month or not, not sure whether just having a look at CM is effective on its own, but i'm on CD20 and there's CM but no EWCM to date IYKWIM?

anyway, i think i'll have to give in and test around 4th may cos we have a wedding reception and festival party thing to go to that weekend so don't want to hit the Wine w/o poas

DS has been sleeping in a real life big boy bed for 2 nights now - he's not usually good at staying still or behaving himself for any length of time so i'm shocked incredibly proud lol

Anyway, good luck and FX all whether ur DTD or in the 2WW zone. I can feel a BFP in the air, hurtling in the direction of this thread very soon!

scubastevie · 23/04/2012 21:55

Hi All,
Just marking my spot. Enjoying reading everyone's posts. Nice to feel you are in the same boat together.

Me and DH have done it like mad!! We are def a shag fest thread :o
4 days til OV and 2 weeks 4 days til test!!! :) yes time is treacle!

On the down side, have got a mouth ulcer for first time in months, must be stress going back to work after Hols and excitement about trying for first time, so don't hold out much hope for this month!
X

wunnybunny · 23/04/2012 22:08

hi every one i will be hopping on board for may bfp hopefully, been ttc 7 months 29 day cycle, had heart attack week ago so hopefully doc wont make me stop ttc really want dc2 would be lovely to complete my family as im only 24

winkle2 · 23/04/2012 22:40

Omg wunny what caused the heart attack at such a young age?

JoyfulJoyful · 23/04/2012 23:29

Hello ladies,
Openminded, thank you for adding me to the list but truth is I don't even know when I'll be testing in May. The thing is that DH works in another country so we have to approach this TTC business with military precision. I pray I'm able to visit DH from CD 10 and hope against hope that it works this cycle after the huge disappointment the last cycle.

Rue, had a right giggle at your ban.

Bluebizz, I believe we'll get this ov thing sussed.

Wunny,I'm sorry to hear about your heart attack. So unusual for someone so young. I hope it was a one off.

JoyfulJoyful · 23/04/2012 23:36

Toobreathless, so sorry to hear about your ectopic. Did you conceive after it? It must have been so horrible. I pray we never have to go through it again.

Tedmundo, thank you for the recommendation. I have posted on one of the MC threads and I often lurk around.

LittleMissSnowShine · 23/04/2012 23:41

Agh just checked my redundant fertilityfriend chart & im.on CD23 not CD20, whoopsie!!

Dtd again earlier, keeping bases.covered in case OV is def late this month

Hello.new ladies, welcome to the stretch mark express!! Cant wait to see us.all on the due in Jan 2013 thread !!

wishfulthinking1 · 24/04/2012 06:31

Good work ladies!

Wunny- gracious- that's shocking! Have the docs any idea why it happened?

I'm on cd11 and have dtd cd8 and cd10 so far. Going to try for eod from now on but might squeeze in a bonus one if I notice ewcm (first month ttc- I've really never paid attention to whether or not I get this before!!)

P.s is it only Tuesday?!?! X

everythinghappensforareason · 24/04/2012 08:21

CD1 for me, ttc#2. Will Test around 19th May :). Think im going too buy some pree seed and ov sticks this month too

blueblizz · 24/04/2012 09:13

Good luck everythinghappens. I agree with every day dragging. It really is emotionally draining its like waiting for a boyfriend to ring when you were a teenager (and then he doesn't) or that awful nervous feeling waiting to hear exam results.
We are doing really well girls. I'm about to make a big fat cup of coffee and get on with the day. Have a good one everyone. (Bloody rained for days here.. not helping to ease the long wait.)

winkle2 · 24/04/2012 09:21

Hi everything!! I brought conceive plus this cycle and used it on my most fertile days. Def noticed a difference - if you read up the thread I explained that it seemed to hold the sperm on longer.

morecoffeemorecoffee · 24/04/2012 09:48

Such a lot been going on here!

Great to see all the positive opks!

Hi to the new girls! :)

Wunny hope your ok, how awful for you :(

I am counting down the days until this weekend as that will be the earliest I can poas! I think I am half way through the 2ww at the moment.

I have resigned from my job. It feels very liberating! If AF shows up this month, then I can concentrate all my efforts through may and start tempting properly again which will be good.

:)

everythinghappensforareason · 24/04/2012 09:56

Thankyou girls., deffo going too give it a go, we tend too swi everyother day or every three days, got a feeling DH little swimmers may not be holding out for the eggy hahaha! 5th cycle trying now, it is emotionally draining But im trying too take a more relaxed approach, 1st few cycles i was poas all the time + getting really upset. The month just gone i used nothing, no ov tests etc just went for it. + had a few drinks now + again. Ive figured if its going too happen it will regardless of whats happening, when pregnant with DS (before i knew) id had a good few boozed up nights, jumping on a bouncy castle, a day at a theme park + water park pheww. haha, he was a very sticky bean!! hope i get another very soon :) x x

StephieFranks · 24/04/2012 10:29

Winkle i may just be paranoid Hmm but i was told i had PCOS years ago, recent blood test shows i don't anymore! I think i hate the not knowing if i
work? Think i would be pleased to just get a positive opk or some ewcm at the mo! Instead i got another temp drop this am.... Think averaging around 37 days on cycle, but i was on Cerazette untill Feb ish so how accurate that info is i'm not sure!!

I have decided to pull my socks up and just get on with it :) Even though no sign of OV yet, must mean i haven't missed this month's chance - right?! (Not that i don't work!) So i will be DTD every day till further notice Grin and i will be adding some conceive plus for good measure!!

Stickle what OPKs were you using that you never had a positive from?

morecoffeemorecoffee · 24/04/2012 11:00

stephie I was told I had pcos about 10 years ago and like you, recent blood tests have said I don't anymore Confused so confusing! I have long cycles too so feel your pain.

everything you're right, if its going to happen, it will and its more likely to be when you think "ah sod it, I'm having a boozey night out!" Soda law and all!

StephieFranks · 24/04/2012 11:56

So does PCOS just go away?! Confused TBH i am in way better shape then i was back then (a good six stone lighter) and i eat very healthily so that's a plus!!

Think i feel very pressured, DH has two DC already who are still quite young - four and seven. And has already said he would expect me to PG by July as it always happens for him quite quickly!!! Too make matters worse his ex wife DC mum has another in oven and due July (was PG the moment after she got remarried) Envy

Positive attitude, IT IS ONLY the start of our journey there is no need to panic yet Mr Mannaring! ( Have to keep telling myself as i do have tendancy to get carried away with myself needlessly over react Smile )

tedmundo · 24/04/2012 12:31

Morning ladies, dtd last night and it was not exactly the height of romance. A couple of yawns even .. Oh god I feel sad now I think about it!!

Welcome new people. wunny you had better not mention to your doc about the shag fest thread as they will certainly make you wait a while if they think you are jumping in.... I really hope you are ok now.

had another opk positive today which I suppose is the surge on the way down. Gutted though as means I should really DTD tonight as well to cover the ovulation base. Oh Christ .. DH is going to weep.

Want to be in the 2 ww NOW. ... No more shagging PLEASE!!!!
