Had a search for a may BFP thread and couldn't see one (please correct me if there is!) so thought I'd start one..

curiousgeorgie - TTC #2 - Testing April 29th

Anyone with me?

winkle I have had no very symptoms at all with either pregnancy.
Pregnancy 1: (ectopic) realised in hospital at 6 weeks.
Pregnancy 2: (DD) found out fairly early. First symptoms (overwhelming tiredness) at 7 weeks.

There is hope :)

Got a question for you, those of you who use CB digis for opks do you always use FMU if you don't do you not pee for four hrs before using??

I've only got internet cheapies and at CD 25 with no positives and average cycle of 37 days i'm tempted to buy some today????

I use the CB digis and test at 2.30 after not weeing or drinking for 4 hours! Its hard sometimes but worth it when you see that smiley face!

Cheers Winkle, so have i read some where not to do the test with FMU? or i have totally made it up/ imagined it

So from half ten you don't have anything to drink? OMG i don't think i could do that at work!! I guess if i can't do it with FMU then i'm going to have to work round that!

The CB digis say you can use FMU but all the others say you can't as the hormone surge needs to build up.

The reason I don't use FMU is because after using the OV sticks for a month and never getting a positive, I finally got a smiley on CD18 of the next month (so had been pissing on the damn things for 40ish days) and I got that smiley at 2.30 after not weeing or drinking for 4 hours so I stick to that rule! Superstitious maybe?!

I think sipping water is ok and if you cant hold in wee for 4 hours, try 3 hours?

am on cd 20 and assume i am on the 2ww, but as no ov symptoms this month have no idea?

Cd 17 for me and I am def on the 2 ww. Opk was not a strong line today and last night I had very strong ov pains. So as the egg only lives for 24 hrs there is no point DTD tonight as the egg will either already been fertilised or it has disintegrated.

Winkle .. I think you should be positive as this 2 ww is truly the time of hope. Before ov then you are def not preg but right now you COULD be ... There is a strong chance and that does give me hope, even if I am a bit bonkers too.

Yes very soggy and CBA doing any cleaning. Morecoffeemorecoffee ... That is the only downside of SAHM ... You feel a bit guilty if house a tip when been in all day. I blame MN.

yes utterly miserable day today... although wait, it is suddenly nice and sunny outside?! (will probably last 5 mins..)

stephie i also use CB digis and do it around 2pm after holding in urine for 4 hours.

aaaah, still no ovu, I do have a migraine however, which could mean ovu is near!

The tea & coffee usually helps with the bordeom and hunger at work! Think i will do 6.30 POAS so as of now no peeing or drink . Just hope to God there is no traffic on the way home on motorway tonight, as i generally piss like a race horse anyway TMI!

Will get DH to buy some CB digis on way home or maybe one last try with internet cheapies if i'm storing up my pee?

I get my CB digis from Amazon or ebay as they are much cheaper. I have ordered some so if I don't need them next month (PLEASE GOD PLEASE) I'm happy to send them on to you for the price I paid for them. Think I paid a tenner for 7 sticks rather than £23 in the shops?

Thanks Winkle but i'm impatient and hope against hope that surge should be today/ tomorrow as in theory should have ocurred by now on a 37 day cycle so will pay full price DH can stump up costs it is after all his payday today

winkle - i had no symptoms until about 5 or 6 weeks with DS, I'd been a bit tired and feeling the cold (but it was December in Belfast so not much of a surprise there really lol) but I only really guessed that I might be preg when I suddenly started feeling a pressing urge to wee every 5 mins. So no symptoms at this stage def does not mean no BFP!

ted - i'm part-time at work, part-time SAHM and my house is, therefore, only tidy 50% of the time. at best. hee. i blame DS but it's probably just me and DH being messy buggers

So CD 25 did my first CB digi (stored up my piss for over 4hrs) and still no smiley seriously all i want to know now is that i ovulate is that too much to ask? Think i need to take my own advice of Keep Calm and Carry on Shagging

Hmmm stephie do you think you could have missed it this month by not reading the lines properly due to lack of experience? Only asking because that's what happened to me first month of using them - hence the switch to cb digis.

Are you dtd every other day anyway to cover yourself?

Am trying to be relaxed about the whole thing. Breastfeeding put the brakes on my reproductive system. Would be really lucky if the positive okp was true ovulation and obscenely lucky if I got pregnant first time.

Nothing new with me- on cd 13 and we've dtd cd8, 10 and 12 (last night was after a lengthy conversation about whether we were too tired or not!)

I've convinced myself that this will be the month for me (again). Only possible symptoms so far are tiredness and have gone to bed early every night this last 5 days and teenager skin! That's it. Boobs a bit sore yesterday but not enough to call a symptom iyswim.

Testing tomorrow! Got mild cramps today and trying to convince myself that's baby snuggling in and not all the food I ate yesterday!

There's no reason why I shouldn't be preg this month. We've dtd a lot and on the right days plus we used conceive plus. We've cut right back on drinking and smoking. It's got to be my turn!

Well Winkle i dunno?! . Every opk i did there was most def only the control line visible and i started from CD 7 just in case with a random test thrown in around CD 4 just for good measure!!

Another temp drop this morning and lot of what feels like period pain?? wtf is going on

Maybe i have missed it, but no ewcm or temp rises to suggest so. I'm afraid i've been feeling a bit sorry for myself and it has done nothing for me wanting to dtd so doubt i'm covered

Just have to wait and see what happens i guess! But i have been told that they will do more blood tests in Sept to see if i OV if it hasn't happened by then!
