Hi everyone!

Just wondering if anyone is trying for baby number 2?

I've been 'sort of' trying for two months, but this month am really determined! I think i'm supposed to ovulate this wednesday, so BD'd today, yesterday... etc!!

I have a 15 month old DD....

CWest30 don't lose hope petal! I know it is easy to say and not easy to feel but you have only had two period so up to two chances to get pregnant and that really is not a lot (I say this as someone who struggles to believe it too!! I got up the duff first time after my fake bleed last go round). Try not to panic yet. :)

CWest30 · 29/01/2012 09:14

Thanks hun, I know what you are saying, and its nothing my mum and sister havent already said, I'm just not a patient person lol, and I think I convince myself I am preg because I want it so much haha. Told myself this morning I was going to relax and go with the flow til the end of the wk, and already I'm obsessing over forums etc looking for the slightest glimmer of hope! Jeez, I need help!

sunshinejanuary · 29/01/2012 09:16

Well as I said CWest30 I say this all without really believing it myself ;). In fact if my period shows up around the 11th Feb I am going to be gutted. I really want an October baby and seem to secretly believe that because it is what I want and we are trying that should be enough!

CWest30 · 29/01/2012 09:30

Haha we already have an October baby, he starts school in September, but I have to have planned caseareans due to a medical condition so if this is the real deal, then baby would be here around the last 2 weeks in Aug. If it happens next time we are looking at end of September, (bad as hubby away for a week!). No I havent obessed over it much, honest! As everyone says, que sera, sera and all that, but easier said than done! Sure we will get those BFP's soon enough, we've done it once before!

backwardLFDTpossom · 29/01/2012 10:03

Fingers crossed CWest! I believe Superdrug's own tests are v sensitive...

madaboutmadmen · 29/01/2012 11:32

yes Superdrug more sensitive than the Boots one

CWest30 · 29/01/2012 16:12

thanks, will look at those 2, just find it all so confusing - the couple I have already done say "can detect pregnancy as early as the day after a missed period" does that mean the day after I was due to start my period, or the day after I have missed one completly? (ie if I was a week or more late) Either way have had a few negative results now, but still no af! However only about 3 days late so theres still hope! Def feel different, and do have early preg symptoms so just got to wait, whether I like it or not! x

madaboutmadmen · 29/01/2012 16:29

they should be able to pick it up from the day your period is due. I'm 3 days late and had postive tests but the most compelling evidence for pregnancy with me is that my belly is like a balloon, which wouldn't happen to the same degree when a period is due.

How the heck i'm going to hide it until I'm 12 weeks I don't know! don't want anyone before as the last pregnancy ended at 10 weeks so feeling uncertain. It's a laugh a minute Wink

cherrybird1978 · 30/01/2012 10:47

Well i'm out this month, everything but legs will have to be crossed for next month now. I'm majorly disappointed although in my heart I knew that it wouldn't happen on my first month of meds. Good luck girlies, we need to see a few BFP's to give the rest of us a boost :)

DoodleAlley · 30/01/2012 12:07

I'm still waiting. AF due any time between Saturday and the following week as irregular periods.

Though in my heart I really don't feel pg and did with DS so quite despondent. Funny how TTC seems to pervade everything.

DebussyHead · 30/01/2012 13:21

Hi all, I'd like to join this thread. Just found it and glad it is more current than some other ones I found before.

We are TTC no.2, DC is 20 months and this is 4th cycle of trying. It took 5 cycling to conceive DC1 so I know how frustrating it is when things don't happen immediatly. This is the first cycle I've been charting properly and already 'imaginging' sypmtoms -tiredness, sore boobs etc. I'm 8 DPO now and today my temperature fell so that means I'm almost certainly not pregnant this month as your temp is meant to remain consistently high post ovultation if you are pregnant right? I'll know for sure by 6th Feb when AF is due. Trying to accept its a BFN again to deal with not getting hopes up for another week. Great to hear all your stories and get some support. Good luck all.

Bewler · 30/01/2012 14:02

Hi everyone, hope you had nice weekends. I peed on a load of Ov sticks this month but didn't get a smiley face Sad but I hope that just means I didn't pee at the right time or something rather than no Ov! I saw a thread all about OV sticks that didn't work and that's cheered me up a bit. Am on CD18 now and my cycles are never longer than 28 days (last month was 21 days) so I guess i just have to wait and see. At least poor DH can have a few days off DTD! Its so hard not to get your hopes up isn't it. Must just assume I'm not pregnant rather than secretly assuming that after the amount of sex we've had this month we can't fail to be up the spout Grin. Good luck everyone still waiting....

indigotweets · 30/01/2012 14:18

Hi all!
would like to join this thread. been ttc #2 'officially' for about 6 months but have had a 'wait and see' approach for far longer. Ds is 4 and came along pretty easily so this makes a bit of a change!

Af is due around the 7th-11th Feb. I think i'm about 7dpo but could be 11dpo.

While naturally I'm not getting my hopes up too much, I can't help wondering whether the cramping, some nausea, bit of burping, patch of pink cm, and most suspicious of all, crying at the end of Mary Poppins ('Lets go fly a kite') are reasons to be optomistic??

JumpingFrog · 30/01/2012 15:00

Hi all!
So week 1 done of 2ww... Just another to go.. DTD loads, positive OPK.. Just got to wait. Had lots of cramping, disturbed sleep, excessive saliva (had that last time with DD - what's that about anyway?!) but Must. Not. Symptom. Spot. >

Good luck to you all x

DoodleAlley · 30/01/2012 16:18

Oh I'm so in the doldrums today and no idea why. Can we have some good news from anyone to make it seem possible? Just feeling really "flat".

It just all seems so impossible and a little bit bleak at the moment.

backwardLFDTpossom · 30/01/2012 18:44

Oh Doodle I'm sorry you're feeling down today. Hope there will be some good news soon.

DoodleAlley · 30/01/2012 18:46

Thanks x

Bewler · 30/01/2012 19:37

Poor Doodle. TTC is so exciting but its is so crushingly disappointing when it doesn't happen when you want it to. I am so awful at dealing with things that are out of my control. I'm sure it will happen but the waiting is really hard. Big unmumsnetty hug x

RichardAndJudysButtPlug · 30/01/2012 20:31

Doodle :( Hope you have some good news this week.

I'm now 5/6dpo . Half wanting this weekend to come so I can test or not because I don't want to risk feeling disappointed in event of BFN. It's like waiting for an essay result when you've worked really hard to get a good mark iykwim. Half dread/excitement.

Still got sore nips, achy/pulling around the area just below my belly button and creamy cm.

It would be nice if it happened for me this month - baby's due date would be a couple of days after my 30th birthday.

Please let it happen...to all of us!!!

CWest30 · 30/01/2012 21:06

Just an update, got another BFN today :-( Still no sign of AF, (now 4 days late I think) so really fed up. Determined not to touch another test til the end of the wk but dont hold me to that haha. Actually felt sick today, twice had to run to bathroom, but am sure I am imagining all these symptoms, after all, if I was pg, surely I would have had positive result by now? Todays test was a first response one. The only other thing I can think of is that I OV'D a wk later than I thought, (OH works nights so we only have specific nights to DTD) Again will keep you all posted, lets hope someone has some good news to share soon xx

DebussyHead · 31/01/2012 10:58

RaJBP the wait is so frustrating! I am 9 DPO and had convinced myself that it was not going to happen this month as my temp fell below the coverline yesterday but since then I have read that there is a thing called 'implantation dip' when your temp falls sharply rougly DPO 7-10 days then goes back up again!! So maybe still in with a chance. Also creamy CM which is another sign and giving me some hope. I didnt check my temp this morning as had a rubbish night sleep and up half the night. If it remains below the coverline I'll know I'm def not pg. Must stop symptom spotting!

CWest I hope you get a BFP afterall! We need some good news!

jaffacakehips · 01/02/2012 09:04

Please can i join?

DH wants to start ttc asap, i've asked for at least March / April when DD will be 12/13 months. I'm bricking it. Need moral support or a big kick up the ass which ever is needed.

Horrid birth with DD, emcs and problems with me afterwards Sad But thankfully all good now. Smile Going to book at appointment with my GP as my CS scar hurts from to the time {is this normal} just to check if everything is good.

Are we mad.. DD will be about to hit terrible 2's and we'll have a new born?

Hope you all have good news soon.

birdofthenorth · 01/02/2012 09:12

Hi there, can I join too? Miscarried in November but ready to start TTC again for DC2. DD is 17 months and a gorgeous handful!

CWest30 · 01/02/2012 09:31

okaay, i give up. After YET ANOTHER BFN :( have decided my period is a wk late due to cycles being messed up coz of coming off the Pill, not coz Im pg. All pg symptoms I thought I was having have just vanished into thin air, so I guess that tells me all I need to know. Not happy about it as now I dont know if I am still ovulating, or when this will be, but have decided to accept that hopefully I will be pg sometime this year, not this month!! Does anyone have any help or advice about my cycle now, and should I still go Drs if af doesnt show in a couple of weeks? Good luck to everyone in this agonising situation, cant believe I have only been doing this for a couple of months, it feels like forever. Really feel for those of you who have been TTC longer and I wish you all the best xxxx

DebussyHead · 01/02/2012 12:17

Well thats me out. AF arrived yesterday 9DPO and a WEEK EARLY!!! wtf?! I am regular as clockwork always the 6th of the month so when I saw bit of blood yesterday I hoped it was implantation bleed but in fact has turned into full blown AF. Why would this happen a week before its due?! This has never happened to me before. Has this ever happened to any of you before?

This was our 4th month of SWI so feeling really dissapointed not least because it now appears my cycles totally gone haywire and I'll have no idea when to expect Ov next! I guess I'll need to keep charting and hope that give some clues. Like you say CWest will just have to hope for baby this year not this month!

Lots of luck to you all!
