Hi Ladies, thanks so much for all the congratumalations.

I thought I'd share with you all that this whole month I was taking Agnus Castus. Its a herbal supplement that is meant to extend luteal phase (I had v short luteal phase of 8 days) and improve egg quality. I bought them through Amazon. It may of course just be conincidence that my first month taking this is the month I fell pregant but I do remember when reading the reviews on Amazon there were women saying the first month of taking it they fell pregnant. Worth a shot!

Hellobear congrats to you too!

HTWH I think the internet cheapies are still good but the wondering if it shows a vague line thing was driving me nuts. I like that CB is a straightforward yes/no indicator. My CB 'Pregnant 1-2 weeks' was at same time as a very very faint line on the internet cheapy one (yes I actually did two at ones..to be sure....Hmm) Ofcourse you need a bank loan to stock up on CBs!

Bewler sounds like you have a really good attitude to it all. My DC is 21 months and is such good fun I think it is important to really enjoy that time with them. She will be 2.5 yrs when this baby is born (if it is a lucky sticky bean of course...fingers crossed).

Anyway wishing you all bucket and skip fulls of luck and babydust. Will be keeping close eye on this thread still to hear all the positive stories that will be coming in the weeks ahead and hope to see you over on the pregnancy boards in no time!

Crazytictac · 02/03/2012 13:56

Ah bewler I thought what about what you'd written this morning as was feeling bit envious ( but happy at the same time) that my friend had a baby girl in the early hours and yet what seems umpteen pregnancy announcements this week!

HaveToWearHeels · 02/03/2012 15:57

Well first AF since ERPC arrived this morning. 8 weeks to the day since the OP. I am feeling more possitive today and have stocked up on OPK's this morning.

RIBS & "Debussy* thanks for the reassurance, I have bought 20 PT's and 50 OPK from Amazon, also purchased 2 CB Digitals today along with my Vit B6 that was suggested to me.

Margie Sorry you are feeling poorly :( I have had an ectopic, I had horrendous pain the day before AF was due. Worst pain ever in my life for about 20 minutes 20 x period pain, made me sweat and I had to lay on the bathroom floor, until DH found me.
Next day I did test and was pregnant. So went straight to the GP who was fab and we did three lots of blood tests 2 days apart to check HCG was rising, which it was. At 6 weeks I had spotting and GP sent me for early scan which showed nothing, neither did internal scan so ectopic was diagnosed.
The only pain I had was the first lot which was probably about 2 weeks after conception, luckily I didn't have to suffera repture, due to having a GP who was on the ball. Hope that helps.

CheshireDing · 02/03/2012 21:37

Aww congratulations Debussy Grin

Lots of sound and sensible advice coming from ladies on here and some positive attitudes - Bewler :)

Margie hope you're feeling better soon. I don't know anything about ectopic sorry. Could it be IBS though?

I will have to look up Agnus Castus, I don't know if it would help me or if it's something I can use whilst ebf anyway.

Good luck RIBS, we had a mc before DD too and it seems to have happened to everyone we know who is trying to get pregnant so much as we would love another baby we know we are very lucky to have her.

Raspberryjam · 03/03/2012 09:43

Hi Ladies,
Can I join you? Am 41 and TTC no 2. We have a daughter aged 4 conceived with IVF - vvv lucky first time! Had failed frozen cycle nearly 2 years ago and recent failed IVF. 6 months ago started Clearblue, preseed, as has always been unexplained. We've just decided to go for it again with IVF and ICSI .
Starting to wonder if it will ever happen and if we will have another miracle and hoping still it could happen naturally. Wishing you all every bit of luck ...

Margie32 · 03/03/2012 10:54

Hi and welcome Raspberry.

Bewler, I really loved reading your post, once you're on the roller-coaster of ttc it's easy to lose sight of the fact that we're in the fortunate position of already having 1 happy, healthy DC - thanks for reminding me that I'm a very lucky girl and should just calm down on the neurotic symptom spotting.

Heels, sorry to hear about your ectopic pg, sounds horrendous. My pain has died down a bit, and if I was pg I would have only conceived in the last 10 days/2 weeks, which I think is to early to experience signs of an ectopic. Cheshire, am going to look into the symptoms of IBS, that's a good suggestion. My Mum was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year so I tend to get a bit paranoid when I feel anything even vaguely weird happening down below. Let's hope that this time it's connected to a BFP!

CWest30 · 03/03/2012 16:05

Hi ladies,

Havent posted in a while, after my af came last time we decided to cool it for a bit. I've just literally changed jobs, have been asked to cover a team leaders maternity leave in the childcare setting where I work. Ive only just qualified so a fantastic oppourtunity! However this has meant that I've had to give up my part time job in a shop to fully commit to my new role. We decided that since my career was taking off, we were going to hold off on Baby no 2 for a while......can anyone see where this is going? I literally left my shop job yesterday, so thought I would do a test this morning before i start my new job on Monday.......yep BFP!!!!! and VERY positive, the 2 lines have come up straightaway!! What the hell do I do now? Havent even told my hubby, we'd stopped doing the deed as didnt think we were gonna try anymore but somehow its happened anyway. The only thing I can think of is that I may be further along than I thought, (my last period began 2/2/12) but was very light, and only lasted about 4 days) so by my calculations Im either 5 weeks or 9 weeks already!! Does anyone know the laws regarding maternity leave for a temp job? Cant believe I've left my permanant job and now this has happened - I go beween joy that its happened, and sheer terror that everything is going to fall apart, I've got no idea how to tell hubby, I think in his point of view, trying for a baby was over arrrrrrrgggggh please someone help!!

CheshireDing · 03/03/2012 22:39

Aww CWest of all the luck/timing Grin.

Get telling your DH (although presume you have by now).

Don't know about a temp job, as it's temp I wouldn't have thought you were entitled to mat pay from them - but I don't know really.

Don't you have to have been in a position for 12 weeks to get SMP? Although I think you can claim MA instead. There is a charity website called Maternity Action, give them a ring, they were really good when I rang.

RIBS · 03/03/2012 22:40

Hi CW30,
Congrats and OMG!! Havent a clue about the maternity leave query, as im self employed, but the government website is supposed to be pretty good, failing that if you go to your job centre they'l be able to advise you.

I reckon that by the time your collegaue's due back for maternity leave you'll be starting your maternity leave - maybe you could job share!

I understand the terror bit too - id only been seeing my partner for 4 months when I found I was pregnant - shock wasnt the word!! Gyno told me id have probs conceiving.

I wonder if your mini period was actually implantation???

Once its sunk in you'l be buzzing!!

XX

Bewler · 04/03/2012 09:24

Congratulations CWest!! Grin I'm sure it seems a bit scary but there is rarely a perfect time to get pregnant and once your DH is on board you'll have lots of support and be able to enjoy it. Hope you get some good maternity pay advice.

CWest30 · 04/03/2012 09:32

Thanks for the support :-) from the site, it looks like I should be entitled to SOMETHING regarding maternity pay and leave, now just got 2 tell hubby, wish me luck, Im def going to need it!!

CWest30 · 04/03/2012 20:33

Well, I finally took the plunge and told hubby, but took the cowards way out!! he went fishing all day today so took a pic on my phone of my BFP and sent it to him in a text lol saying I had no idea and that I loved him. I waited ALL DAY but got no response....just when I convinced myself he was going to leave me he finally phoned. Tentivley I asked if he was OK, and he replied "yeah, why, wouldn't I be?" I said "well, you know, I thought you would be shocked" he said "about what?" In the end I said "did you get my text?" and he goes "yeah but coz its rained all day I couldnt really get to my phone, why?!" By now I'd had enough so I came straight out with it. After a split seconds silence he said" Thats ok, I guessed as much coz you havent been well for the last couple of weeks, and your af hasnt come" So after all that worrying, hes completly ok with it! We know we have lots to sort out, what with my starting a new job in the morning aarrrgghh, but we are going to take it one day at a time, so first stop drs!!! Thanks for all your support, hope you all get your BFPs soon xxxxxxx

Margie32 · 06/03/2012 08:07

AF arrived this morning...Sad. Bugger, I so hoped that this was going to be our month...

Hey ho, onwards and upwards. Going to buy myself some cheapo OPKs and agnus castus from amazon today, next month I'm getting serious! And tonight I'm going to have a big glass of Wine with the DH.

Raspberryjam · 06/03/2012 10:18

Morning Ladies,
Glad all worked out so far CWest30 - great news.

Sorry it didn't work this month Margie32 - hope you enjoy the wine tonight.

I went for acupuncture on Saturday and it was incredibly relaxing - towards the end of the treatment I was in floods of tears, lying there with the needles in - thinking about when I was small and about my mum who died a few years ago . The acupuncturist thought it was a good thing as there were emotions in there needing released. I was exhausted rest of the day but slept like a log next two nights. Waiting for AF now as stopped norethisterone and having Prostap injection on Friday - with acupuncture in the afternoon.

Hope the rest are having a good Tuesday.

CheshireDing · 08/03/2012 06:47

Gosh that sounds extreme Raspberry.

Fx crossed for next time Margie

I have had the results of my dodgey smear cells so all okay, only mild changes (which it always is anyway) so back on ttc. Although probably pretty pointless without an AF due to hungry, snuffle monster feeding baby :)

Raspberryjam · 08/03/2012 21:06

CheshireDing reading my post again - realised I sounded like a raving nutter! - think I was super PMT during the acupuncture. AF came yesterday so am (slightly) more human today Blush -
Glad your result ok.

PrincessPrecious · 09/03/2012 09:48

ConfusedMum - I am the same. DD came along first month of trying. Am more worried 2nd time around. Plus DH has been away working a lot in the week so haven't had the chance to have sex that much unfortunately! Would love no 2 but don't know much about how to TTC (apart from the obvious) as no 1 came along so quickly.

Hai1988 · 09/03/2012 10:35

hi guys am very excited as me and DH have decided to come of the pill and ttc No 2 Smile

I am just wondering what peoples experiences are of coming of the pill mavelon.

Also what sort of things I should be doing now apart from the obvious Wink

What foods I should be eating to increase fertility and things to avoid.

Any advice would be greatly apricated and just wanted to share my news as were not telling anyone apart from one very close friend in rl

Bewler · 11/03/2012 19:39

Hi everyone,

Just checking in and taking a well earned rest from SWI Grin. Hope you all had a good weekend.

CD11 and trying to be super nonchalant this month. Excited about going skiing on Saturday for a week so the 2WW should pass fairly easily this month. Plus dd is being so charming and lovely I am finding it easy to enjoy things as they are

stabiliser15 · 19/03/2012 12:16

Update - AF still hadnt arrived after 7 weeks so, despite two BFN in the two weeks after I thought AF was due, I tested again yesterday without any expectation at all and... BFP! No idea about dates etc given cycle apparently a bit random, but could be as many as 7 weeks along, although reckon conception was probably late Feb, given BFNs in early March.

Good luck to all others TTC.

CheshireDing · 19/03/2012 17:04

Yeh!!! Congratulations Stabiliser it's been quiet for BFP for a bit on here now.

Very pleased for you :)

HaveToWearHeels · 28/03/2012 16:39

Congrats stabiliser how exciting
AF arrived for me this morning :(

RIBS · 29/03/2012 14:00

congrats stabliser

I havent been on for ages. Wow. You could be more than half way no getting your 12 wk scan! Very exciting.
Ive had a very strong positive Ov test earl;y this week. And ive done all I can. Just gottage sit back for the 2WW.

But like Bewler my DD is just being so cute and funny at the mo, shes 3 (going on 13!), you've gotta ask yourself, can I possibly love another child as much as I love her. Id like to think I can. Do you think other mums with 2 or more have a favourite or feel like they do.

My DD would dearly love a brother (or sister) but she's used to being an only child. I think the whole adjustment think would be quite a learning curve.

Quite deep isnt it- and iv only just started the 2ww. Wait until the last few days, il be receiting socrates!

lazzaroo · 10/04/2012 19:54

Hi all. I haven't been on here for ages but it's nice to see some positive results. None here I'm afraid! I have tried hard to convince myself that I have an 'it wil happen' attitude but really, deep down, I thought it might have happened by now!

I fell pregnant so wuickly first time around that I'm now worried it's never going to happen! I am beginniing to think that ignorance is bliss and first time round we knew so little about when, how etc to try that we just did it and bingo!

Only time will tell....good luck everyone else!

Raspberryjam · 17/04/2012 22:17

Well done Stabiliser - congrats.

AFM this round of ivf with icsi hasn't worked - we put back two embryos - but AF made an appearance 2 weeks after egg collection.
Trying to work out what if anything to do next.....

Finding it hard to think I have reached end of road - don't feel that I have yet - but the ups and downs of ivf are so extreme at times.

Anyway good luck to all on here!
