Hi everyone!

Just wondering if anyone is trying for baby number 2?

I've been 'sort of' trying for two months, but this month am really determined! I think i'm supposed to ovulate this wednesday, so BD'd today, yesterday... etc!!

I have a 15 month old DD....

Debussyhead that is exactly what happened to me last month. AF arrived on CD21. No idea when I ovulate as not charting but it must have been really early so we probably weren't even DTD around the right time!!! I have short cycles but the month before had been 27 days so 21 days was really short. Am on CD20 now so really it could come any time.....
No idea why that randomly happens. But (on the very dim bright side) it did spare me a week of the 2WW..
Sorry Sad

DoodleAlley · 01/02/2012 13:52

DHead I know stress can affect AF have you been under particular stress this month?

DebussyHead · 01/02/2012 15:38

Bewler I guess not having the 2WW is definetly a silver lining. According to my chart I ovulated CD18 and AF came CD26 so that makes a luteal period of only 8 days which isnt long enough to sustain pregnancy apparently. I have to say AF is much heavier and more painful than usual. I'm irrationaly still trying to get my hopes up by clinging on the totally RARE stories on the internet about women having heavy bleeds before AF due and then still being pg! My rational head is saying, let it go dont be ridiculous!

Doodle I haven't felt unduly stressed this month, quite tired though.
Will see what happens next month. Bewler hope your cycle returns to normal or even better stops due to BFP!

RichardAndJudysButtPlug · 01/02/2012 17:26

Debussy That's strange. I had an unusually early period last month (25 days) - usually it's 28/30 days. But a week early? Are you taking B vits? Apparently these help with lengthening luteal phase.

I'm on CD23 and really irritable/emotional today. Worried it is another 25 day cycle and these are period symptoms. Need to seriously get a grip... Hmm

backwardLFDTpossom · 01/02/2012 17:54

Dum de dum, just had my coil taken out so I can officially join now. Assuming my cycle will carry on as normal with the coil out, I think AF is due around the 9th of Feb...

bettergetamoveon · 01/02/2012 20:43

Not looking good for us this month. AF has just left the building so in theory we should be twi soon. However dh full of the cold, he's working away from home most of next week and now my terminally ill fil has just been hospitalised, so he'll be away tomorrow and maybe the next night visiting his mum and dad:( Obviously a baby isn't high on the agenda this month. Good luck to everyone else.

Bewler · 02/02/2012 08:37

bettergetamoveon really sorry about your fil (and AF!) Sad Can you at least have a large guilt free glass of vino tonight?

DoodleAlley · 02/02/2012 10:07

2 days before AF due so used one of those tests you can do four days in advance. BFN.

In a bad mood now. Have been really tired this week and hoping it was a good sign, but it's all for nothing.

Well back to the drawing board again and awaiting the joy (!) which is AF.

Hope others are getting better news this weekend.

DoodleAlley · 02/02/2012 10:08

Sorry just read your post bettergetamoveon and it makes my complaint seem petty. Sorry to hear things are not great and wishing your dad gets better soon

stabiliser15 · 02/02/2012 10:58

AF has finally been and gone for me so now waiting until ovulation, which is going to coincide with a lovely week away with DH and DD... and DSD and her mum! Trying a joint holiday for first time (just a few days away really), and we do all get on well, but am not sure it will be the most, ahem, romantic of atmospheres in which to TTC!

Come on some BFPs to encourage us all!

CWest30 · 02/02/2012 21:14

I'm out for this month too, af came this morning, but am pleased to say, no more heavy or painful than usual. Maybe next time, onwards and up as they say xxx

backwardLFDTpossom · 02/02/2012 22:31

Sorry to hear, CWest

JumpingFrog · 02/02/2012 22:40

Hey everyone who has had BFNs, sorry to hear.. Let's keep fingers crossed, we've got to have some good news soon... The wait to POAS is just draaaaaaaaggging tho!!

bettergetamoveon · 02/02/2012 23:44

thanks for the thoughts girls, fil in hospital until tuesday getting radiotherapy and blood transfusions. dh said he was tired but cheery tonight and we'll all see him on saturday. I'm hoping I'm still not out this month, just hope my fertile window will coincide with dh being home!

I know only too well how depressing it is when af arrives girls. I went through this for 8 months and for a couple of minutes every month I thought it was the end of the world. Don't disregard your feelings...the disappointment is crushing. We will have babies soon:)

turnwest · 03/02/2012 07:37

Hi everyone, sorry for the bfns, I m on cd 27 so just waiting now probably could do a test but have had no pregnancy symptoms at all so don't think it's my month this month either! On the bright side I ve booked a holiday for may so at im excited about that. If nothing happens by Sunday I'll test, my cycles go from cd 25 to cd 37 so I could have a while to wait yet!

RichardAndJudysButtPlug · 03/02/2012 10:34

Hi everyone. Sorry about the BFNs. Rubbish.

bettergetamoveon - sorry about your FIL. :(

I am 9dpo - gave in and tested this morning. Thought I could see (based on me squinting/going cross-eyed/holding test up to light) a faint hint of a teeny darkened line. I pointed it out to OH 'look it's there look, it's there, can you see it?' and he was like 'what? where?' but then kind of saw it. Think he was just agreeing with me to shut me up.

So I dunno...will test in the morning and see how we get on.

I feel quite good today considering I have been up really early with DS. This is odd as I usually cannot function without a good 7-8hrs sleep and I have had about 4!!! Maybe this is a symptom??

RichardAndJudysButtPlug · 04/02/2012 09:44

So I did another test this morning and got a very slight shadow line. OH said he could kind of see it. I still don't quite believe it tbh. Will keep testing every day and hopefully it will get darker everyday.

I have a stuffy nose this morning that is all bloody when I blow (yuck - sorry) and bleeding gums. I have a terrible headache and feel a bit rotten.

Need to keep positive. Good luck to everyone testing this weekend :)

RichardAndJudysButtPlug · 04/02/2012 11:22

As per my usual impatient self, I wasn't happy/convinced with the result of the 25miu internet cheapie test so I did an OPK which tested +.

I couldn't take it so rushed out to Boots to get a First Response 6 days early jobbie and I got a nice, unmistakable BFP :)

I'm only 10dpo so it is very early. Fingers crossed for a little sticky one.

JumpingFrog · 04/02/2012 11:43

Congrats richardandjudy! What great news, that's brill. Grin
Fighting off massive urge to test myself.. Have had only very slight cramps, but been very tired, so much so I fell asleep on the sofa last night about 9.30 which I haven't done since last pregnancy. Really don't know what to think, don't want to get my hopes up. Think I will try and hold off a bit longer!

turnwest · 04/02/2012 12:51

Big congrats Richard and just and guess what? I could nt wait for tommorrow, done a test and yes a BFP!!I can't believe it, my periodd have become so irregular as I ve got older and I ve had no pregnancy symptoms at all but clear blue says 1 -2 weeks. Just hoping nothing goes wrong as I m in same boat as Richard and judy, it's very early but I m so excited..

turnwest · 04/02/2012 12:52

Should say Richard and judy, not just, silly iphone

Chunkychicken · 04/02/2012 13:00

Congrats ladies - lots of BFPs :)

Still got a wk or more to wait until I can test, so trying to keep busy & keep hopes low!!

HelloBear · 04/02/2012 13:04

Hi ladies, can I join you? I'm 33 and have just decided to start ttc for #2. I had wanted to wait till my DD was 3 but did a u-turn last night Wink (i bliam the 3 vodka and cokes). She is only 20months but my DH has been desperate to start for second dc for ages. I've changed my mind as I want to leave my job but figure that I might as well use my mat pay and then leave. So I've made the scary decision to crack on! I am ultra broody but really nervous about how hard it will be to look after 2 DC. Anyone else feel like this?

Anyway - congrats to Richardandjudy, fingers crossed for a happy and healthy pregnancy.

And good luck to all others.

HelloBear · 04/02/2012 13:06

Oooo congrats to turnwest also:)

JumpingFrog · 04/02/2012 16:32

So I caved in and did a test.. BFP!! Grin Can't believe it, totally thought it would be negative.. Early days though, early days.. Good luck everyone who is testing soon x
