Welcome across Rat Smackers! Glad you found the place okay. This is THE MONTH when we get those deceitful pee sticks to own up to the BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS - we are all already preggers! After all; positive people get positive pee sticks!

I hope you all like what I've done with our new home

You'll note the updated title, courtesy of farfalla. Various healthy snacks have been set out on the coffee tables, to ensure our bumps are receiving the appropriate nutritional balance

Also, my personal favourite adjustment, you'll note the strategically positioned peephole, right here, providing us with a sneaky preview of the utopian delights awaiting us in the NO BROOKING vomitorium ante-natal thread.

So let's get to it preggos! Remember: see a rat - smack it!

jenfraggle · 14/08/2011 19:02

I was getting a bit concerned that I was boring everyone senseless so they were hiding.

dreamfeeder · 14/08/2011 19:11

That is also frequently my concern jen lol

jenfraggle · 14/08/2011 19:16

I'll try to provide a BFP next week to make up for it. I'm still in the running

Solars · 14/08/2011 19:20

What do we want? POSITIVE PEE STICKS
When do we want them? NOW!!!

Well I just heard a cousin of mine is 3months pregnant, whilst I am so so happy for her I couldn't help but feel a little sadness for myself. Another cousin of mine told me earlier during the day and I was just talking to my mother and she didn't mention my cousins pregnancy at all until I told her I knew. Although I've not told my mother we're specifically trying she knows we are and that made me feel even more sadder that she didn't want to mention it to me :(. But anyway what I really wanted to say is that i'm pretty sure news of cousin being pregnant is a sign. So really hoping to read about some BFPs soon..

dreamfeeder · 14/08/2011 19:20

oh you're TOTALLY still in the running jen. False negatives from early testing are a definite possibilty. You're the only one officially late right now. In fact, i'm sure you're upduffed Grin

So where are imps and ninja today? and shouldn't maybe be back from holiday now?

have and little, hope you're lurking in a nonchalent soon-to-be-oh-no-already are-preggo fashion. Especially for your ironic BFP have

dreamfeeder · 14/08/2011 19:26

solars, i get the pregnancy jealousy- especially when it seems to have been so blooming easy for the person- the ones for whom it's first time and everything goes swimmingly! Not that I had big probs with DD- one mc then one DD but now it's not so easy....

Your mum was obviously just trying to be supportive in her own way by not pointing out your cousin's preggers status and upsetting you. She doesn't realise you're on this thread and therefore going to be upduffed THIS CYCLE and that it is A Sign. Never mind. We know Grin

dreamfeeder · 14/08/2011 19:28

is it you going for HSG this week solars? i've got a rubbish memory? If so you're either in for an ironic BFP, or a pot_HSG BFP- who cares which, either way you're a winner Smile

dreamfeeder · 14/08/2011 19:31

er, i meant post-HSG BFP of course

GenericDietCola · 14/08/2011 19:36

Hello, how is everyone? Thanks to all of you for your kind words - they really helped. You lot are great.

Jen deffo still in the running, it was either one of those argumentative pee sticks or it was too early.

Dream and Scarlet you are still on for your BFPs this week too and I am brooking no argument!

Solars I'm sure you're right re the news of other people's pregnancies - this is your month!

I feel much better today on cd2 and I think this means that my fertile days will be over the Bank Hol weekend, which will be lovely! I am very much looking forward to this month's swi and may take a leaf out of Have's book and try something new to make it more fun! And by 'trying something new' I mean buying myself some new underwear - ha ha!

Solars · 14/08/2011 19:41

Lol! I got what you were saying dream. Yes i've got the HSG this week! But hoping that DH is going to be compliant in the rat smacking department even though he has a very very important interview just a few days before I OV as I don't want to really miss out on this month...I may have to join you Generic and buy myself new underwear too and scratch up on my enticing skills...glad to hear you're feeling better :)

havealittlefaithbaby · 14/08/2011 19:43

I'm lurking still waiting for your bfps :)
Birthday on Wednesday oh my days I'm turning 30 started celebrating with Sunday dinner and champers at my Dads.

GenericDietCola · 14/08/2011 19:47

Hi Have
Happy birthday for Wednesday - it's great being 30, honest! Have a lovely birthday week x

Biscuitsandtea · 14/08/2011 20:00
Biscuitsandtea · 14/08/2011 20:07

Sorry about that peoples - was typing on my ipad so had to post what i'd typed or I would have lost it.

ANYHOOOOOOOO, Have a great birthday week Have. It ain't so bad being 30 Grin

Hello to everyone else. Jen have everything crossed that you can confirm your pg this week and a few others for good measure too.

dreamfeeder · 14/08/2011 20:11

oooh, biscuits, its so nice you haven't disappeared into the vomitorium and never scooted back through those sliding doors since. And is that a bump you're sporting? oh my, and at only 8 weeks or so!!!

Happy Birthday Have!!

Biscuitsandtea · 14/08/2011 20:14

Oh my, yes I'll tell you what I am starting to look a little podgy around the middle Blush. Mind you ever since I had DS I think I have looked at least 4 months pregnant Blush - never quite got back into my fighting fit (ahem) state from pre pg.....

As I said to DH earlier I hope the scan does find something on Wednesday otherwise I am just FAT and then I've got to do something about it which would be a double blow to the chops :(

scarletfingernail · 14/08/2011 20:17

Happy Birthday for Wednesday have. Champers and lots of it is a must for a 30th birthday. My celebrations lasted a month when I had mine Grin

Generic your positivity will get you your BFP this month. May is a lovely time of year to have a baby.

I'm starting to get some AF warnings. I'm really not expecting a BFP. I've been crampy and cranky all day Angry

dreamfeeder · 14/08/2011 20:36

scarlett, its not over til the red lady sings!!!! cranky could be pregnant... Grin My money's on you out of the 2 of us for a BFP

generic, a may baby will be lovely.

and biscuits, behave! Pregnant is NOT podgy!!!! I was referring to your general blooming-ness. You must fill us in INSTANTLY on your early scan. Did you get it through the NHS or have you had to stump up? I hope you got NHS. If I have a big meal I could pass for 20 weeks easily- in fact in we have lunch out i have wondered when the embarrassment of someone asking when i'm due will happen!!! Although according to the scales I am in fact a pound or 2 lighter than before DD. Bah- that just shows that i should be exercising my tummy muscles not revelling in having bought some size 8 jeans (and they were Next, who are very generous!!)

NinjaChipmunk · 14/08/2011 21:19

generic sorry to hear about af
have happy birthday for this week, 30 is a fabulous age to be, enjoy and celebrate and be happy!
biscuits let us know about the scan as dream said, we need to know! And I bet you look blooming!
jen it ain't over till its over love, and it ain't over yet! good luck

lazy day here today, not been up to much. cd13, think am imminently about to lay egg, rat has been smacked for the last 4 nights so if we can keep it up for a while longer, i'll be happy. On a different note, has anyone got one of the smartkey things from the bank? I've done mine but poor dp is having a nightmare. He's completely locked out of his accounts and is speaking to a very annoying lady and is getting very irate. Oh dear.

Imps7 · 15/08/2011 06:56

Good morning rat smackers!

I. Am. Knackered. Did sooo much decorating over the weekend and topped it off with a 15 mile bike ride yesterday (well, okay, 7.5 miles to a pub, pub lunch, then 7.5 miles back again). I don't actually know how I'm going to get out of bed this morning, let alone survive a whole day at work.

Think I'm deffo out for this month - had a nice shag on Saturday, but we were both knackered last night and OH was in a stressy mood because it's his last week at work and he's got loads that he needs to get done. He's away tonight and tomorrow night and then out for dinner with friends on Wednesday night. Thursday night will probably not be a go-er as it will be his last day on Friday so he's likely to be in a stressy mood again. Not that any of this should be seen as brooking any argument whatsoever - I'm just being realistic!

There's a lovely story on the First Time Frolickers thread that I thought I'd share - one of the ladies has PCOS so doesn't ovulate very often - after TTC for 2 years she and her OH decided to have a break as it was all getting too much for them so she went back on the pill. Last week she started being sick every day, went to hospital and - yup - BFP!! Miracles do happen.

Happy birthday Have! I love being in my 30s - I'm so much more grown up and worldly-wise now...Hmm

Scarlet any more news re: AF? If you walk around pulling a menacing face all day she'll be too scared to turn up.

Good luck with the egg laying Ninja - that rat has so been smacked.

What do we want?
Positive pee sticks!
When do we want them?
Now!

jaggythistle · 15/08/2011 07:16

aw, nice story imps. :)

sorry your SWI plan isn't working out so well, must be a bit frustrating. it makes sense that making him more stressed about it won't help though. hope you get a surprise rat smacking in sometime.

have a nice birthday have, nice to see you still lurking. :) I'm a few years past my 30th now and it's not too bad!

am currently brooking no argument while eating breakfast. got a very busy week ahead at work and my next day off isn't till Monday so it's going to be a slog.

I'm so tired at the moment, it does actually remind me of being pg! which i obviously am. 6dpo today, only another 6 or 7 days of 2ww to suffer!

come on pee sticks, we require positivity now!

Imps7 · 15/08/2011 07:23

It is a bit frustrating Jaggy but I'm fine about it really - we'll get there one day and I would rather avoid the horrible couple of months we had right at the start when I was demanding shags and OH was getting really worried and wound up about it. I saw a little motto thing recently that helps "Don't forget to love your OH and not just the idea of the baby he could give you!" A bit naff but true!

I can officially confirm that tiredness = a certain and surefire BFP.

scarletfingernail · 15/08/2011 08:30

jaggy you obviously are pregnant. When will you test do you think?

When do you think you'll be laying your egg this month Imps? The rat that got smacked on Saturday may have been the one?

cd30 and 12DPO here. I've relaxed a bit overnight and feeling whatever will be will be this morning. I'm not tempted to test yet, will give it another couple of days. I'm thinking AF will show up no later than Thurs which will be the same cycle length as last month and fit in with a nice 14 day luteal phase. If AF does arrive at least it'll put my mind at rest that my luteal phase is ok after all. If she'd arrived CD26-28 I'd have had something else to worry about. So I'm already looking on the bright side Smile

dream and jen how are you today? Are you tempted to test again yet Jen? You are officially late now aren't you?

Ninja see a rat? SMACK IT! (again) DH has one of those keys you were talking about and has managed ok with it. I don't use the same bank as him so can't offer any advice. Nothing beats speaking to a call centre for added stress!

GenericDietCola · 15/08/2011 09:08

Scarlet glad you are feeling a bit better. Funny you should say that about your luteal phase - that was one of my consolations this month. I have been taking B6 and I think that's helped because my luteal phase was 12-14 days, which I think is OK. Hope AF stays away and you get to confirm your obvious pregnancy this week.

Imps I love that story - thanks for sharing. Glad you feel better about things this month and your OH has nearly finished his job. Perhaps you will be wrong about this week and will get a rat smacking in, but if not, good that you're OK about it.

Ninja all sounding good for you - well done for the every day effort. Think I need to do that this month!

Jaggy you sound v pregnant. Hope your hard working week goes well - at least it will go quickly and you will be confirming before you know it.

Lovely to see you Biscuits let us know re scan - rememnber to brook no argument.

Still got AF here

GenericDietCola · 15/08/2011 09:09

Oh Jen forgot to ask - have you confirmed today?
