Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

We are all jolly well going to get preggers this month in a nonchalant non-psycho way, and hang onto it, and there will be no brooking of any argument whatsoever!

Welcome across Rat Smackers! Glad you found the place okay. This is THE MONTH when we get those deceitful pee sticks to own up to the BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS - we are all already preggers! After all; positive people get positive pee sticks!

I hope you all like what I've done with our new home

You'll note the updated title, courtesy of farfalla. Various healthy snacks have been set out on the coffee tables, to ensure our bumps are receiving the appropriate nutritional balance

Also, my personal favourite adjustment, you'll note the strategically positioned peephole, right here, providing us with a sneaky preview of the utopian delights awaiting us in the NO BROOKING vomitorium ante-natal thread.

So let's get to it preggos! Remember: see a rat - smack it!

Ooooo! I can't cook Ninja so I can't answer your question, but I'm more than willing to be your guinea pig for the taste test!

Hi Scarlet glad to hear that re wine - me and DH are off out tomorrow for a rare date night and I'm planning on several a glass or two of wine. Actually, I'm ridiculously excited about it and am getting my hair done at lunch time and everything! It is long overdue for a cut anyway, but still.

Also waiting for pee stick endorsement with scream but remember you're still in the game too chuck.

Soooo we've got Maybe Ninja and Scream all confirming in the next couple of days, Imps next week (am I right?), followed by have

LoveInAColdChamberOfSecrets · 27/07/2011 22:00

Scream - I've just realised that my previous thread that did not result in BFP was not a Brooking No Argument thread so clearly that is key and means you will become updiffed this month. But really, of course, it doesn't matter who starts the thread as everyone here is already pregnant Smile.

LoveInAColdChamberOfSecrets · 27/07/2011 22:01

PS love the light in here

scarletfingernail · 27/07/2011 22:05

Generic how lovely for you and DH to have a date night. Are you going out for a meal or just drinks? Does your DH know you have plans for him?

I'm hoping I will get the sign this weekend to start SWI. As someone mentioned earlier, at least you feel like you're doing something then to make it happen. The first 2 weeks of the cycle feel like such a waste of time!

dreamfeeder · 27/07/2011 22:07

Can I join in please!? Slightly confused by the Rat Smacker references but if a rat needs smacking to join the vomitoreum I will clearly have to seek one out and smack it hard.

This will be done imminently. In fact as soon as I can get DH off 'strike'. He looks far too chirpy for the illness he is claiming. Of course I shan't kiss him in case I contract his lurgy. But that is not a necessary part of the deal (oh god, I worry I may be failing the non-psycho part stressed in the title of this thread....).

Of course, I'm not worried. It's all happening this month... I hope.

GenericDietCola · 27/07/2011 22:09

He has probably worked it out because I've already jumped on him today but we don't talk about cycles etc. We're going for a meal with BIL and SIL - can't wait.

Totally agree re the SWI bit - the only bit you can really control and I love feeling like every time could be The Time. Of course this time is definitely The Time thanks to the magic of this thread.

NinjaChipmunk · 27/07/2011 22:12

hello dreamfeeder simply by joining this thread you are in fact, already pregnant. We have a mantra 'what do we want? positive pee sticks! when do we want them? now!'
Make yourself comfortable, grab a snack and if you see a rat then smack it as hard as you possibly can.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 27/07/2011 22:16

In the spirit of the renewed thread I have also renewed my NO BROOKING! As we speak I am ACTIVELY brooking zero argument with respect to my definite pregnancy! I shall therefore be testing first thing on Saturday to confirm the BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS!

Welcome dreamfeeder! There is absolutely no failing on this thread, so don't worry. The one rule is very simple, you are already completely preggo, so you should brook no argument from those pesky pee sticks! The rat smacking is from an earlier incarnation of this thread, where a wise and updiffed poster pointed out the similarity between ttc and the game smack-the-rat! Looking forward to having you with us, what's your story? (If you don't mind me asking?)

Welcome dreamfeeder and congratulations on your as yet unconfirmed pregnancy.

Good show scream it's high time we all followed your shining example.

Imps7 · 27/07/2011 22:22

Oh hurrah, I've found you all, how lovely!! Right, time to do some catching up...

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 27/07/2011 22:27

Date night sounds like a great plan Generic! Everyone seems to have these amazingly perfect romantic OHs! My DH is gorgeous wonderful man as well, but somehow I seem to be missing out on all the date nights / cooking / washing up!

OP posts:
Imps7 · 27/07/2011 22:35

Scream - my friend, you are not alone. My OH is lovely, but cooking/washing up/date nights he does not do!

NinjaChipmunk · 27/07/2011 22:48

go scream go scream

havealittlefaithbaby · 27/07/2011 22:56

Hi dream feeder. Hold on to.your pee sticks this thread moves pretty quickly! :)
Congratulations on your unconfirmed pregnancy. Please note a doctor will regard your pregnancy from the last of last af therefore as soon as af arrives you are, in fact, pregnant! Which means some of us have been pregnant for a while Hmm
I am ttc dc#1, have been for 19 months. This month I'll be getting an ironic bfp because.....my secondment will come to.an end and I'd have lie pretend not to be pregnant to get a new post; I'll have had Hsg and fanny cam for no reason but seeing my insides was oddly cool ; DH will not have to repeat his SA and it'll be just before I turn 30 :)

BabySade · 27/07/2011 23:17

Well I'm going to have to cut my hours at work to keep up with this thread! Thanks for the commiserations for the arrival of AF, as of today I'm two days pregnant. I have just bought a bikini and some new clothes for my holiday in September. By then I will be 6 weeks pregnant and will spend the entire time throwing up. Could I do any more ensure my BFP?! I think not!

I am still waiting for Maybe's BFP and I've forgotten who else sorry. I've missed too much today. Am off tomorrow so will have a proper catch up then.
Night rat smackers

BabySade · 27/07/2011 23:19

Oh and hello Dream

LoveInAColdChamberOfSecrets · 28/07/2011 06:05

Have you tested again yet, Maybe? Am on tenterhooks!

Biscuitsandtea · 28/07/2011 06:17

Oooh yes maybe have you?

So we also have Ninja and Scream testing in the next few days?

Weren't Tin and Little due to be testing soon too?

Hello Dream and congratulations on your yet to be confirmed by a pee stick pregnancy Smile

havealittlefaithbaby · 28/07/2011 06:20

Yes indeed I poked my head in mega early fully expecting to see at least one bfp!

havealittlefaithbaby · 28/07/2011 06:23

Isn't little due her ironic bfp because she's.got her fanny cam pelvic ultrasound today?

Biscuitsandtea · 28/07/2011 06:28

Oooh I think you're right Have definitely rings a bell

Biscuitsandtea · 28/07/2011 06:35

And wasn't TinFairy waiting for more tests or something?

havealittlefaithbaby · 28/07/2011 06:36

I usually am Wink.
When are all our bumps due? I'm due on 10th April. Which could be nice cos my Dad's birthday is 4th April. Nice present for him!
