Anyone using Persona to Conceive this month ?

That's it really. I'm CD 6, having red days, planning my BD-ing & wandering if anyone else is in the same boat as me...?

I'm on day 2 on my Persona & am starting to get the hang of it. It's not as difficult as i first thought. can't wait for day 6 to do the test.
I want to say thank you to all of you for your help !

Thanks eledest, that's good to know. My cycle can be a bit all over the place! AF still hasn't picked up, despite a trip to the gym to getting things going! I wish it would hurry up, cause till it does my mind with keep thinking about implantation bleeds or anything that might still hold hope! I wish I could control my wishful thinking Oh well maybe I'll be in for a Christmas Surprise!

CD 19, so when would af be due? How long do you have to keep ignoring the tricks your body plays, before you can test!? I know what you mean about feeling a bit cheated. I sometimes feel I want to have a real go a my body and tell it to buck it's ideas up. We'll all get there I'm sure, it's just unfair that some people can do it so quickly and easily and others can't. I guess the world would be boring if we were all the same

Sorry about AF Strike. Same thing happened to me last month was a couple of days late & then started very light spotting brown blood (sorry TMI ) was convinced that i could be pg then came on properly the next day although still quite light. I think that our bodies can be very cruel at times.

On CD13 & got my egg sign so that is spot on to the ov sticks used previously. BD again last night & going to try & really go for it for the next few. Hope its true what they say that this is a good way to burn off calories!

I can sympathise. Before DS1, my cycle was anything between 35 and 51 days. Since DS2 it is between 29-35, so from previous experience, there is no point testing before day 35. Makes it all a bit more drawn out though. I am hopeful I am in for a shorter cycle this month as from CM, my fertile period seemed to be from CD11-16.
A bit of yoga can bring AF on for me. Last cycle was particularly cruel as I had a slight bleed at the right time for it to be an implantation bleed, and I never normally get that, but yet again, it was my body playing tricks on me.
I feel old. I didn't have any problems conceiving DS1 and DS2, which I did based purely on CM. I have evidently lost the knack or my eggs aren't as fresh as they were!

Well AF picked up a bit yesterday so I got to press the M button this morning! Think I might try accupucture this month to see if it helps relax me more than anything.

Eldest, have you asked your doctor for any blood tests to find out why you haven't concieved yet? Or are you happy to wait and see? I found it quite reassuring know that I'm ovulating at least sometimes! So now I feel happier to just sit back and wait for it to happen.

I am going on holiday on Sunday for 2 weeks. If I get AF during this time, I will book in to see my doctor for some blood tests before Christmas to make sure everything is functioning properly.
I go through ups and downs. Sometimes I am OK about letting nature take its course, but then someone else gets pregnant and I feel a bit panicky and down. I know I am very lucky to have two boys, but even today when one of their friends popped around to play, I watched three children running around the garden and it gave me a pang, wondering if there would be another child in our family.

Sounds like a good idea Eldest. Just when you make plans to do something about it, it will all fall into place I'm sure.

How's everyone else doing. Anyone close to testing yet?

Bit fed up got the egg sign yesterday & wouldn't you just know DH decided he couldn't possibly manage 3 days in a row. I didn't really feel like it but needed to feel like had given it a real shot this month. Got an egg today too but the second line was quiet faint. Do you think its worth trying tonight or has the chance passed? Does Persona always give 2 days of egg sign?

Hi Jag123, yes try tonight - good luck ! Also, the egg sign means you will ovo in the next 24-48, normally 36 hrs.

I know what you mean about being tired, we question whether we'll ever have sex again for pleasure !!

I'm day 23 & still the red light is on. seriously hoping we got it right this month, but if not, seriously hoping accupuncture helps.

have friend at work who is day 1 today. I bought her a persona from ebay the other week (she has also had a miscarriage & her cycle is not-quite-right). And another friend & her Dh are coming to dinner tomorrow night. They have been TTC for 4 or so months. We're all comparing notes

in answer to your question - always 2 days of egg sign.

Don't forget sperm lasts a few days as well, so missing it last night, but BD-ing tonight might be the best thing

And a rest for 24 hours means the swimmers replenish their numbers!

didn't get to bd last night either. I'm a little bit too stubborn for my own good. I wanted DH to understand why i was upset but he said he feels like like he has to perform on demand! I can understand how he feels but its never going to happen if we don't do at the right time & using the Persona will be a waste of time & money. Of course then i told him not to worry i won't ever bother him for sex again & we spent the night on opposite sides of the bed. He keeps asking me now if i'm still in a mood.

Sorry for going on will just have to hope that what we did before might work but don't hold out much hope.

Thanks for postive thoughts. Had my accupuncture this am - very interesting. The lady I saw was very good on a holistic approach. I spent 2 hours with her, which included alot of time chatting. The needles she put in me had an interesting effect - in fact 2 large glasses of viogner later, I'm still feeling twinges..time for bed methinks...

Men, they're so sensitive bless them! I they think it's us who are over emotional I think we started too early last month and as I oved late we had run out of steam by the right moment!Hope to pace proceedings a little more this month, although what with it being the party season, they'll be a few drunk swimmers I should think.

I'm going to try accupucture this month. There's a company near me called Mr China but I'm not sure if I should go to a medically regognised one or not?

Hi ladies, I am day 26 - still showing the red light & flashing 'm'. Fingers crossed AF doesn't arrive, or if it does, that it's soon !

I had my accupuncture session on Sat. the was excellent & I told her about TTC etc. Seems stress is a bit of a problem with me, at the back of my mind I feel that's the reason I miscarriaged - the 5 th week was particulary stressful for me. Will be giving her a call when either AF or the BFP arrives & then booking another session.

Strike1 - has the person you're thinking of going to been recommended ?

CD17 & got a green light today. So guess we'll have to wait & see although not very hopeful this month.

Mojomummy How long is your cycle normally? Have you had red days since you got the egg sign?

I was just wondering how it would affect results if you do conceive.

Mojomummy, I haven't managed to find a recommendation for my area yet, although at the gym just now there was a card of a pysiotherapy place near me that also do accupucture and they are recommended by the gum so maybe that'd better than the Mr China chain. Not sure really. Fingers crossed for this month everyone, we need a bfp soon

Well I just found a accupucture practitioner down the road from me in a new therapy centre and he's associated to all the right things. I went for a chat and ended up having a treatment! It was great. I feel very relaxed had happy, which has got to be a good thing. Hope it works!

Excellent Strike1 - can you tell us about your treatment, which points he worked on, how you felt when the needle went in etc ?

Jag123, pre DD I was a 28 day cycle, BF for 2 years & had a 30 + day cycle. gave up BF & immediately went to 28 day cycle & got pregnant, then miscarriage when I should have been 8 weeks & since then have had a 30 day & 22 day cycle.

Didn't actually get the egg sign this month, although had faint stripes on stick at days 12 & 13. Has been red ever since. Anyones guess what's going to happen next...
