Hi

AF arrived yesterday. I tried to book my xray but both doctors are on holiday so no appointments again until next month. Hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky.

I think I'm going to get a thermometer & try the temping but not sure if you have to start that on 1st day of AF.

I'm not sure if anyone is watching this thread now so prob talking to myself but wasn't sure where to else to post. I suppose I should join one of the others but not sure which.

Hi Ladies..not been here for a while. As you know i was trying for a littile while and used Persona for nearly a year so i could get used to my cycles. I'm now nearly 3 months PG. Had my scan on Thursday - everything's ok! I used Persona and a Bicarb Douche to conceive. Feeling a bit crap. Nausea ans hearburn doing my head in, other then that i'm ok. GOOD LUCK to everyone else on this board.

You could start using whatever day you are on just to give yourself time to get used to it.

Hi everyone! It seems I am the only one left here using Persona! I am not gainig much though! Month 2, CD20, still red but no egg sign this month either. And I am doing everything correctly! can't wait 4 for AF to come and start again!
As I get EWCM just after AF is finished (CD7 and 8) would it be possible to ovulate when the machine is not aware of it? Could this be the reason why I don't get an egg sign?

How long are your cycles?
I must say that this month I have had EWCM straight after af, Cd 8, I was confused too. As I am now temping I am observing other things too, like cervical position, cm and temp. For 4 cycles I seem to have Ov'd on CD 15 out of a 26 day cycle.
I feel like I know more about what's going on since temping (not that it has got me anywhere though!)
Persona didn't seem to suit me.
Maybe if Persona doesn't ask you to test around the time you usually get EWCM, perhaps try doing an ordinary opk.
I'm trying that along with the temping this month to see if that helps.
The charting software I'm using has predicted Ov to be this Fri (based on previous cycles), I plan to use an opk every other day this week in the hope that I get some luck.
DH goes away for the week on Sunday so if Ov is any later then this month is a right off.

I got my opks on access diagnostics really cheaply, so I didn't feel like I was wasting even more money. Postage was free so I only spent something like £3.
Worth it just to confirm the rest of the symptoms of Ov.

Mamalex - Sorry that you're not having much sucess with Persona. Maybe do as 3Cats suggested & try opks a couple of days early. Have you been ttc for long?
I have used Persona this month (actually remembered to test) & I always get egg sign on cd13, so it seems pointless to keep repeating. It doesn't seem to be doing me any good though which is why I want to try temping to see if it backs up the same info.

That sounds really promising 2 BPFs. I haven't got thermometer yet. Had a look in Boots but they were £15 & I'm a bit short this close to Christmas. So unless I can get cheaper anywhere it will have to wait. Once I do I will pop over to the chart spotters thread.
How is your house hunting going? or are you waiting to get Christmas out of the way first.

I got my thermomter from accessdiagnostics, it was about £2. It's digital one and has been fine for me.

my cycles are usually around 26-27 days, but they tend to get shorter.Today CD 2, AF arrived on CD24 this month. No BD though, as DH was away. Not much chances to get cheap opks as I live abroad and p&p are usually high, but will make the effort to buy some over here this month. We've been ttc for 9 months, but as we didn't have any trouble to conceive DS, it seems a long time to us! Good luck to you all ladies!

Will he be home around Ov this cycle? Will that be over the Christmas week or just before perhaps.

I got a faint line on the OPK today. Not sure if it's still a positive if it's faint. I had -ves all week. I was a bit disheartened by it. I've run out now so am hoping todays was a positive. Although it's not much use as DH is out for a liquid lunch today so he'll probably come home worse for ware. Fingers crossed he 's upto the job .

Hi! Sorry I haven't posted for a while, just busy. Not much effort this month, DP was around but we are often too tired to do some appropriate BD. we have been ttc for less than a year. That Persona machine is getting on my nerves, I did the CD6 test regularly, then no yellow light until day 15, when I'd already ov'd. The helpline said maybe Persona is not the right method for me. Thanks, after I've spent more than 97 euros for it! Next month I 'll definetely invest on some opk's, then I'll sell the evil machine! . Have a Nice Christmas everyone!

How's it going?

Well as much as I raved about the temping it hasn't given me the results I want yet. AF arrived this morning. Now onto cycle 5 of charting.

Sorry about AF 3Cats . I got mine on Mon (was hoping for a nice Christmas pressie never mind). I phoned again! for my xray but still no go. Will try again next month 4th time lucky hopefully.

Sorry you're not having much luck with your Persona Mamalex. I just do mine every couple of months now as I always get egg sign at same time it seems a waste of money to keep doing it.

Well AF arrived today + I've got a water infection so I'm not very happy at the moment. Got to phone again for xray on Monday they have promised I will be able to get one this time. Feeling quite down about it all now we've been ttc for over 2 years now so I'm wondering whether its really meant to be. I still haven't sorted out a thermometer must do that.

Hi Jag. sorry about AF. Did you get your x-ray?

Christmas was good apart from having AF.

AF arrived on Saturday so am feeling a bit down again. I'm not temping this cycle. I think it increases my stress levels. We put in a fairly good effort around the right time for 3 months but nothing comes of it. I think I'm stressing too much now and it's probably having a bad effect on ttc.

We had relatives staying last night. A very cute 5 month old, who was awake all night, still didn't put me off having another.

I am in a bit of a daze though due to total lack of sleep plus the after effects of a 2 day migraine over the weekend.

All the best with the x-ray if it happens this month.

Hi 3Cats Sorry about AF & that you're feeling a little down. I know what you mean about it getting to you.
I had my xray on Fri, but would you believe that after 4 months & then sitting in the waiting room worrying about it hurting etc they couldn't do it properly. It wasn't actually any worse than a smear, but the doc couldn't get the tube far enough into my cervix for the little balloon to seal tight enough. So when he tried to put the dye through there wasn't enough pressure the dye came out & it only showed about 1/4 to 1/2 of the tube. It looks like I will have to have the laparoscopy. I don't know how long it will take before I can have that.
Oh well hopefully it can only get better for us both.
