Raspberry - I really hope your studies/exams go well and the wedding and honeymoon is wonderful for you!! xx

Anytime · 15/07/2011 18:46

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me joining you all for some company and advice.

Used the monitor for the first month. I usually have 35 day cycles and it gave me a high from days 11-15, peak 16 and 17, high 18. I've also been using ovulation sticks and throughout this time they were negative, then bizarrely got a high on day 20 which logically makes more sense given my cycle length. Now I'm really confused for next month! We tried to bs everyday until day 21 (were planning not to on day 20 onwards but then I got the positive!). Not sure we can keep going for thatmany days next month! Has anyone got any ideas or experienced anything similar?

Also I didn't seem to get much cm (sorry!) at all throughout, maybe just a bit around 15/16 but it could have been positive interpretation on my part!!

Any ideas welcome!

Hello all, just back from a very restful holiday, just what I needed after all the stress of last month. I ditched CBFM this month and I have no idea when I ovulated after miscarriage or if I did at all.
We DTD every day on hols so I if it was meant to happen this month we have given it every opportunity!

Will have a proper read through and catch up with all the news. Have added myself back onto the stats.

Karbea · 18/07/2011 16:01

Hello,

Had a peak yesterday and today, I think I might have ov'd from both ovaries this month, is that possible? I had an ache on my right side on Thursday and then on my left last night, today I've a slight belly ache, not really a pain, really just an ache (sort of pulling feeling) although I must admit, belly has felt slightly odd since the acupuncture last Wednesday.

How are we all?

farfallarocks · 18/07/2011 16:08

Hi Karbea
It is possible although the 2nd peak is just an automatic one with the CBFM.
Maybe twins for you this month!!

Loup23 · 19/07/2011 18:00

HI all, just back off hols and need to have a read through - no blimmin peak this month at all!! WHat is that about?!?!?! This is my 7th or 8th cycle using CBFM and i've always had a peak..... Am wondering if the acupunture I've had for a month has messed things up, but not sure it can do..... So confused.

Anyway I've had AF on and off since CD20 so am completely confused and don't know when to reset the monitor at all.... So i'll leave myself where I am on the stats and see what happens over the next few days - hope you are all well x

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 20/07/2011 14:47

Hi All

Well, I got my peak again this month - day 13. Also turned out to be a good day to go to clinic for first IUI - so am now on the official 2WW. Have some weird cramp type feelings since being basted - think it's normal - no idea!

Hope everyone is in good spirits and hopefully we'll be getting some more BFP postings soon

SBC x

AuntieDoris · 21/07/2011 06:23

Yay... for the first time since I got my monitor I have had a high reading. The first month I had nothing but lows and I was starting to think it was broken!

Keziahhopes · 21/07/2011 18:26

SBC - that is great timing with IUI, hope it goes well for you. Do they have a plan of how many IUI's they will give you? Is it medicated or unmedicated cycle/

AuntieDoris - that is good news.

Karbea - the more ovulating the better I think, not that I could ever tell when or which side I ovulated!

MiniH · 22/07/2011 07:52

Welcome Anytime - sorry, I don't have any advice for you. Dd you use the smiley face opk or the interpretation ones - is it possible you misread the lines? See what happens next month as it may be an odd 'glitch' this month. As for keeping going, I think a lot of people go for every other day until peak to try and conserve some energy.

No real news from me - am just a bit fed up wit it all. Af showed up, so back to drawing board and still no appointment with specialist ( apparently letter went out four weeks ago). I do have a private appointment for a general screening though so will see if there's anything I can get done privately - they do pay for fertility tests or the like, but may be able to get some help. Fingers crossed.

boba82 · 22/07/2011 13:41

Sorry to all those that AF got Sad

SBC best of luck on the 2ww - great news that it was perfect timing too. FX for you Smile

Congrats on the high auntiedoris

Hi all, delayed reply as my horse had a foal last night - hopefully I will be as successful as her with the IUI!

I am unmedicated (other than the cabergoline) as seem to ovulate at the right times now, just not getting pregnant the standard way. Should be getting 6 lots, but may become medicated after first couple if not successful.

Fingers crossed you get a peak soon AuntieDoris - it still gives me a smile when I get mine.

X

Keziahhopes · 22/07/2011 15:14

SBC - a foal, how wonderful.
Good you have a treatment plan from them too so you know what should happen. I went straight to IVF but I would have liked to have done IUI to have learnt more about the clinic, the processes etc so to have made more of our one NHS IVF attempt etc.

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 22/07/2011 20:41

Keziah - how's the pregnancy going?

Ariesgirl · 23/07/2011 09:30

Hello all. Sorry to crash your thread. I wonder if anyone could give me a suggestion/answer? I am on the second month using the shag dictator CBFM after TTC for quite a long while. First month was pretty textbook - I had a 28 day cycle and had a peak on days 14 and 15 after three days of two bars. The day after the peak I had one bar and then it stopped asking me to POAS.

This month is very different. I ovved on day 18, which was 3 or 4 days later than normal because of illness I think. I deffo had 3 bars and a egg two days running. Now I am on day 23 and it's STILL asking me to piss on sticks! I am going to go broke at this rate! I have had one bar since day 20. Why would this be? Is it because you do them in batches of 10 or 20 and nothing in between? Is the thing not working? Am I not working?

Thanking you kindly in advance. Again, sorry for the gatecrash.

boba82 · 23/07/2011 10:08

SBC awwww how lovely - I love baby animals Smile

aries I can't help but I'm sure someone here can if not try the CBFM helpline? Best of luck.

OP posts:
SlightlyBabyCrazed · 23/07/2011 10:33

Ariesgirl - once you've had the first peak there is no point in any more POAS as it is just programmed to make you use 10 or 20 sticks - a money making scheme by clearblue I would say, because it is also programmed to give you a second peak day and then drop down to lows. This month as you were later to OV it probably got past the 10 stick limit and therefore asks to go through another 10!

I don't bother after the 1st peak and it has still given the sequence - you just have to wait until it's outside the window and it'll show the bars etc. I make the box of 20 last 3 months instead of 2.

Hope this helps

Ariesgirl · 23/07/2011 10:35

Thank you boba and slightly - I knew the damn thing was just after my money, the bitch!!!

I didn't POAS this morning, and you know what? Nothing bad has happened! Grin

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 23/07/2011 10:37

Yep, they just want our money! But it is still a very useful tool, I don't have enough time in my life for charting and all that stuff

Keziahhopes · 24/07/2011 09:58

Aries - when I got my first peak I stopped using sticks (I did use my CBFM for more than 2 years though so it got expensive!!) as it was the highs and peak I needed to know when they were. Then just reset it at next AF. Found it useful to know what day I was, though, in the cycle so switched it on and ignored flashing stick request!! Agree with SBC - simple, easy to use and at £7 a month (Amazon was cheaper for sticks for me) worth it to reduce stress.

SBC - I think all is ok, but will not know until NHS early scan in 10 days! Thanks.

AuntieDoris · 24/07/2011 21:18

Praise the Baby Jesus the monitor seems to be working. Had little eggy symbols for the last couple of days.

But, just a quick questions... I am going to be on holidays for a month in August and I am thinking I can't really be arsed with using the monitor for that time. So, if I decide not to use it do I just leave it alone and reset it for my next period?

MiniH · 25/07/2011 08:00

auntiedoris - I did at last month for my hols and seems perfectly fine this month. Kind of nice not to poas for a whole month!
