Welcome ladies to our new home yet again!! I hope this one will be as lucky as the last one was!

SBC - no need to be jealous, you will join us soon look at all people on the stats, and how many people have bfp's eventually even though quite a few of us have taken way too long to get there.

The only thing I did differently was 2 months ago splurged out on Zita West vitamins - the top range ones that cost a fortune, the DHEA and Omega's for Zita West, plus a daily aspirin (latter becasue diagnosed with sticky blood).

Have you had your level 1 immunes tested SBC - my gp did half of them and we paid for the rest. That is what told me I had sticky blood issues, hence the aspirn and the miracle that has followed. Not got as far as seeing private consultant to find out rest of level 1 results. Best ££ we ever spent - I just keep telling dh it is (whatever it is) cheaper than IVF!! Which we were having to fund privately.

ElmMum · 05/07/2011 22:35

Thanks for all the good wishes. SBC - I know how you feel. It's such a mixed up feeling when other people get a BFP. A bit of you just wishes wishes wishes it was you.

I am still not having any symptoms, so am struggling to believe that this pg is going to last. With DD and with pg that ended in MC my boobs were a total give away and I felt knackered and weird straight away.

Think I will do a CB Digital test tomorrow or the day after to see if the number of weeks sounds right.

Oh, yeah, and ironically, after using the CBFM for all those months, there was so much going on last month that I didn't set it in time and so didn't have it going this month. But because of the previous months of using it, I could make a fairly decent guess at which days to dtd.

Anyway, I really hope this pg lasts and that you all get the BFP you all deserve. Nighty night x

raspberrytipple · 06/07/2011 08:11

Sorry Elm I missed your BFP, congratulations!!!

Just a quick question as my CBFM seems to give me no high days before peak, just two peak days then three lows after? When it shows peak does that mean I'm ovulating/ovulated that day or does it mean I'll ovulate 24 hrs after the peak? I'm so confused??

jazzy283 · 06/07/2011 09:31

Kezia Congrats YAY YAY BFP

Well im 11 dpo and woke up with a horrible dull pain in my belly im sure now AF is on her way :( :( i was really silly and tested on FRER last night no line not even a faint one so i guess im out again this month :(

StormBird · 06/07/2011 10:17

WOW - I've been off line for what seems like ages and there's been loads going on. Finally in new home and back on-line!!

Hi everyone...........(waves)

Congrats Elm and Keziah , its such wonderful news here's hoping for a very happy healthy and uneventful 9 months for both of you.

Keziah Its been such a long hard slog for you this TTC lark and I am now sat here in tears because I am so very overwhelmed and pleased that you and your DP have finally been treated to a Natural BFP!! Well Done you! I always knew that you would eventually get your turn hunny.
I cannot imagine how you must have been feeling when you saw that positive or how you must be feeling right now about the whole thing. Just take one day at a time.

Elm well done to you too.

Please join us on the graduates thread when you are good and ready

XXX

ElmMum · 06/07/2011 13:44

Well I just did a CB digital test as I just don't have any symptoms at all. Came up very quickly - pregnant 3+ weeks. Which seems good and strong result. So I'm definitely pregnant at the moment!

Horrible not to be able to shake off the thought of mc which means I don't want to let myself imagine that this could be real. Going to phone the doctor in a bit and see when I can get an appointment with the midwife and when the earliest I can get a scan is.

Sorry to be so negative. I really want to be happy about my BFP and the minute I start feeling any symptoms (no matter how ill I feel), I'll be over the moon! :)

Karbea · 06/07/2011 14:09

Keziah well done!!!!

Af arrived for me this am...

Has anyone followed the baby making bible?

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 06/07/2011 15:52

Keziah thank you for your comments. You should write a book on your experiences, it may help a lot of people.

I have just seen endo again and am going onto metformin, but think I will push for the immunes, as I do have very clotted AF (TMI) and maybe just maybe it's something they're missing. Am CD1 today - been doing everything right, but nil, nada, nothing!

Have just done some aspirin googling (dangerous I know!) but looks very promising, so may give it a go and see.

Congratulations again to the BFPs!

SBC x

AuntieDoris · 06/07/2011 21:20

OK. So I have started using the CBFM this cycle. I have tested low all the way through and I have used 20 sticks. Is this normal or have I just done something wrong or do I just need to see whether the magic machine works things out next month?

cazza2010 · 06/07/2011 22:49

Hello can I join as well? I'm so glad to find you girls!

I'm 35 and had first baby sept 09. Went on the mini pill while breastfeeding and then came off the pill to try for baby number 2 in may 2010 - and I'm still waiting!!!!! I saw doc and he said the mini pill can stop you ovulating for a year after you stop taking it!!! I had to throw a wobbly before he would do a blood test - which he did and said it was 'satisfactory'. So this months we started using the CBFM but I went to high fert on day 7 then stayed on high eversince - now on day 25!!! Has anyone had this???????

cazza2010 · 06/07/2011 22:50

have you had highs or 1 bar all the time? doh its annoying!

Keziahhopes · 06/07/2011 23:50

SBC - I did aspirin this month, maybe naughtie but hey! So far so good. But now told not to take aspirin until they scan me at 9 weeks to see if heartbeat. Dilemmma time.

ElmMum a 3+ on CB Digital is amazing!! Smile. But I am the same as you - negative, uncertain etc. And saw gp - didn't even ask me what date last af etc, just said see midwife at week 8. 4 whole weeks is such a long time. No blood taken to confirm or check rising etc. Don't feel anything apart from negative thoughts - our CB said 2-3, really hope next one says 3+. Bought 3 more, eek!!

AuntieDoris · 07/07/2011 06:27

I have had 1 bar all the way through. Starting to think this was a giant waste of cash!

ElmMum · 07/07/2011 09:14

Kezia - it's so tough to stay positive. Let' just take each day as it comes (but you would think there would be a nice easy stick to pee on, that would give you HCG levels so you could check if they were rising, rather than paying out for CB digitals.) FX for you xxx

boba82 · 07/07/2011 10:20

Keziah and Elm THINK POSITIVE THOUGHTS! I know exactly how you are feeling and it's only natural to worry as it's taken such a long time to get here it feels surreal but please don't think negative thoughts. Like kitty said there are soooo many positive vibes for you from this thread. Smile

cazza and auntydorris my CBFM confirmed my suspicions that I had an hormonal problem (which turned out to be PCOS) and I kept a note of the readings which proved quite helpful when I finally saw a consultant at the FC. I do think it needs a month to get to know you iykwim so give it a chance. Good luck.

chocciechip · 07/07/2011 12:10

Elm and Keziah just did a huge post on scans etc and early worries on the graduates thread so won't go into it again here - but do read it over there. Elm, the stick you yearn for isn't worth developing (I don't think) because everyone's HCG levels rise differently. I remember when I had my first MC and asked if my HCG levels were normal on a MN thread (after the first blood test to check if I was MC'ing), an MNetter told me her HCG levels stayed in single figures for the first 12 weeks of her pregnancy and the doctors etc could not believe what they were seeing. And her baby was fine. Thank God they don't do a test like that, or we'd be going insane with uncertainty Smile.

Great to see two BFPs off this thread again, and really hoping to see more of you lovely ladies joining us.

ElmMum · 07/07/2011 13:42

Thanks boba and choccie. You're right of course. If there was such a stick, I'd be peeing on it every half an hour. I'd be a lot happier if I felt sick, if everything smelled foul, my boobs were like barrage balloons and I was falling asleep every hour, like I was with DD. Having no symptoms just isn't very reassuring. :)

boba82 · 07/07/2011 15:14

Maybe that just means it's gonna be a boy Elm?! Confused

OP posts:
Keziahhopes · 07/07/2011 18:20

Choccie - but I think like Elm said we are POAS addicts by now!! Elm - liking boba's logic Grin

AuntieDoris - the CBFM does need one month to get to know you as it were, so why not try it for 2 months and see if there is a change. Also some months may be anovulatory anyway. Hope it works.

raspberrytipple · 07/07/2011 19:59

poo poo poo. one week away from AF and my lower back pain and achy boobs set in today along with a big fat bloaty belly :( Feel gutted and so pee'd off, why is this not WORKING :(

Sorry for the rant. Just felt a lot better to get it off my chest! I promised DP I'd wait to go to the doctors until after we came back from honeymoon but now I just feel like going tomorrow to get the ball rolling. So frustrated. :(

Raspberry - how long till your honeymoon? Although 12 months is the normal time to conceive and many are lucky much sooner, it can take much longer - as people like Boba, Choccie, myself above and others can testify (34 months for me). Perhaps the stress of wedding and honeymoon not helping? Although a Gp can help, all they will do at this stage is basic blood tests, that take a month to do and a while for results and possibly order your dh to have a semen analysis. They check for thryoid, hormonal issues that might be causing infertility etc and one blood test done on day 3 and day 21 (well 7 days post ovulation) to check ovulation etc. Also height, weight check if like me not as slim as could be (bmi was 31, lower now). This for me was the beginning of 13 months of NHS testing. We had to do repeat semen analysis tests, that have to be 3 months apart - this took time, plus waits to see people etc were 3 months. Are there things you can change to help - though am sure you are good weight, don't smoke, take folic acid, healthy diet in fruit and veg etc, it does make a difference as I have found.

Keziahhopes · 07/07/2011 22:14

SBC - have you had tests done, sorry my brain can't remember! It was an obstetrician we saw last year (nhs gynae said see them to see how manage a pregnancy, obs didn't see why I needed to see her but the only thing useful was she said try aspirin). I didn't try aspirin till last month, not sure why not. Not saying it worked - but why not ask your gp what they think? It is a 75mg dose, dispersable.

MiniH · 08/07/2011 09:01

Congrats to both Elm and Keziah - I will be keeping everything crossed for you.

Keziah I can only imagine how surreal this must feel for you after all this time but I am so so thrilled this has finally happened for you. This is just the best news.

Still catching up on all the other news.

Well, I am back from my hols and quite possibly the most relaxed I've ever been (but then haven't got to work yet Grin had the best holiday and not using the cbfm has given me a lovely break from everything. Was so refreshing to not have to poas constantly!

ElmMum · 08/07/2011 09:19

Hi all,

Choccie, I just had a good read through of the graduates thread! Don't feel quite ready to post over there yet but really hoping I'll get there.

Off to see the midwife this morning to find out what early tests/scans I can have. Still not really feeling any symptoms, which is how I felt just before the mc, so still not allowing myself to believe yet.

Hope you've all woken up feeling strong and positive today :)

Keziahhopes · 08/07/2011 09:44

Hi elm. How many weeks are you? I can't seeidwife till 8 weeks so not even a hcg blood test till then for me. Don't be disappointed if they offer nothing.
