Keziah That's good, I'm glad to hear it. Do you have a date for your appointment yet? I defo think a PMA helps things. Smile

boba - 2 weeks time Grin - it has been a long wait since failed ivf before Easter... I naively thought if we paid you wouldn't wait so long but was wrong. Was thankful for one ivf cycle on nhs but they only allow blast FET's here and no 2nd cycle = such a postcode lottery. But we have finances in place now - I am increasing work a bit from now on, old cars (well 10yrs old) will have to not die and holidays will not exist - baby chance comes first!! Felt better once I knew we had saved so hard for so long and having the money there has reduced stress.

boba82 · 02/07/2011 22:11

If anyone deserves it it's you keziah I'm sending you lot's of positive thoughts and crossing everything for you! Smile

izzybizzybuzzybees · 03/07/2011 22:14

Well thats me in the dreaded tww. First proper cycle since November so I'm not terribly hopeful. Was just happy to see the peak sign! Grin

Hope everyone else is doing well

ElmMum · 04/07/2011 08:41

Hello ladies, sorry I haven't been around for a little while. Really sorry to hear your news Far. Hope everyone else is feeling okay and not too down.

TTC has taken a back seat the last couple of months because I've been finishing my college course and DH has had some major upheaval at work. Despite horrible lurgy during ov, we did manage to dtd a couple of times.

AF due yesterday/today, but thought I'd better POAS before first session of acupuncture this afternoon just in case. I've had no symptoms at all this month, but...

I GOT A BFP!

So many questions...

I literally have NO SYMPTOMS at all so I'm convinced this is a chemical pregnancy. Can you test HCG levels at home? It would be good to know what my levels are and if they're increasing or not.

Am slightly in shock as when I was pg with DD I knew it early on because boobs were huge and tender and tea tasted like weird hot water. I have been feeling periody all weekend and ready for AF. Even bought lillets yesterday in prep and took them out with me as I was so ready for AF to start.

Keziahhopes · 04/07/2011 08:48

Congrats Elm - have you done a CB digital to see how many weeks you are? Think that is the best way of seeing HCG levels - as you can't do blood tests. Well done Smile - do pop over to AnteNatal as there is a ClearBlue Monitor Graduates thread there - manh people will recognise you and probably be able to answer your questions too!

I looked up NHS website and it says many people don't experience symptoms at 4-5 weeks!!

i know this may seem like a silly question but can someone clear it up for me i got my peak Sat & Sund last week with high on monday when do i start my 2 ww is it from Monday ??? or tuesday when im back on my low :) :(

Keziahhopes · 04/07/2011 09:34

I "think" from your peak, the first day of peak. Either way you are on your 2ww - all the best.

boba82 · 04/07/2011 09:38

jazzy I''m not really sure but you can POAS quicker if it's Monday Smile!

Elm congratulations! Smile When I got my BFP I was convinced AF was otw. I only tested as it was day late & was on Clomid at the time so could be pretty certain with ovulation etc. I agree with keziah the only way to do at home is with HPTs but maybe just every second day as they are pretty expensive (says me who did 6 the day I got my BFP Blush)

izzy good luck on the 2ww

OP posts:
ElmMum · 04/07/2011 09:50

Thanks all. I have a dull AF-ish ache in belly but also have bit of a dodgy tummy so that could be the reason for that. Just need to hunker down for a week of expecting AF and not getting hopes up, I think

boba82 · 04/07/2011 10:41

I had AF type cramps on and off for first 2 weeks Elm but app it's just uterus growing. x

OP posts:
Ilovekittyelise · 04/07/2011 14:01

me too re the cramps. and i have been feeling pre-menstrual pretty much since positive pregnancy test (now 31 weeks LOL!!!)

Keziahhopes · 04/07/2011 19:39

Am nervously posting that at the weekend we had a natural miracle bfp Smile. Been to see gp tonight (who didn't even aske me any questions like when last period was etc, but after much hassle with midwife/obstetrician at NHS hospital got 40mg clexane prescribed (am heterozygous Factor V Leiden and have family history of clotting problems plus 2 known episodes myself - PE and minor stroke) and a promise of an early (7/8 week) scan. If see heartbeat need aspirin as well they told me on phone. Did take 9 hours to sort that out - so glad I had day off work anyway!!

Am very early - 4+2 by my dates, with 2-3 pregnant on a CB digital. Never, ever in 7 years since came off the pill have I had a positive test. Blush - have used quite a few since Sunday!!

This is after 34months of serious , serious ttc~1 and one failed ICSI. Am very nervous.

raspberrytipple · 04/07/2011 21:35

Keziah!!! Congratulations!!! I can understand your nervousness but that is amazing news, just take one day at a time and enjoy it. Here's hoping for a perfectly uneventful 9 months for you :D so chuffed for you!!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 04/07/2011 21:52

Keziah Congratulations! You must be over the moon!!

ElmMum · 05/07/2011 08:18

Keziah, I understand that you feel nervous - I don't really believe my BFP - but I will whisper with my fingers crossed for you "congratulations"!!! xxx

Keziahhopes · 05/07/2011 11:25

Elm - yes it is nerve wracking, ins't it? Thanks. Are you on any medication now? If we get to 7/8 weeks I will have an early scan, they said if see a heartbeat then will need aspirin and am on clexane injections as have a blood clotting problem.

farfallarocks · 05/07/2011 12:16

HUGE congratulations to you both, I am so happy for you and really hoping you get a sticky bean!

Ilovekittyelise · 05/07/2011 12:57

keziah i think this baby has more positive vibes from people here than the history of all pregnancies - its SOOOOOOOO your turn as im sure everyone will second me in saying! bit busy at work and got NCT tonight so apologies for being a bit slow xxx
