M4z the first month is always different for everyone as the CBFM is trying to learn your cycle did u start on CD1 i had first high on day 7 and not egg till day 21 on my first month.
This is my 2nd cycle on CBFM and i had my 2 highs 2 peaks on days 16 / 17 and back to a low today so im on my 2ww i also have been ttc for over 8 months but im filled with confidence in CBFM everyone told me to stick with it and im am a lot happier with this month try another test in a few days it might be to early to pick up BFP xx :) :) :)

m4z · 28/06/2011 09:14

Thank you jazzy. I also read the reveiws and thought sounds great.

I also got it to get some control. I had a blood test at docs. The doc said everything was fine, then a few days later they started phoning me and another doc said my testorone was slightly high? It was a docto who didn't know my case.
I feel like a deer in headlights, everytime I go to the docs I feel stupid coz she'll say it's ok, just continue trying, you've not been trying very long etc etc.
Sorry, just need a moan, hubby saying to stay positive.

jazzy283 · 28/06/2011 09:47

Its really hard i also went for the bloods and told i was boarderline whatever that ment he never really explained things to me very well however i went for 2nd set and told all is ok hubby has been tested to but i was on the pill for 15 yrs im 33 and just think its gonna take some time we have decided to wait till after the summer try this for 6 mths before we go back to dr i really dont want it to get to clinical and would much prefer it this way although i am getting a poas obsessed lol lol lol but its better that it was is this no 1 for you this will be my first

m4z · 28/06/2011 10:17

It's my 2nd. My dd was conceived on the first month we tried and all I did was look at when I'd be ovulating and dtd. Can't believe how lucky we were.

Since having her, weight has shot up by 4stones. I'm thinking this has affected my hormones, so we are following low gi and it does seem to be helping, not as tired, feeling more light etc.

the last couple of times I've been docs, been with dd so don't think I can concentrate and talk properly. Going to
make another app for when she's in nursery and i'll get some time off.

This sounds funny, having dd, who's 2 and a half now has made us want to have more kids!

Am 30, not old but do feel like times ticking by.

Hi gals, looks I will be joining you again after an early miscarriage, so gutted :(

Keziahhopes · 28/06/2011 18:33

Hi m4z. If your weight or rather bmi is high you may find the dr, unless very nice, says try for 12 months and lower bmi before they will do anything. Fertility dr's on nhs will not treat if bmi above 30 I have found. Mine was 31 and that delayed things!! Though not saying yours is high. Hope monitor helps lots.

Far- so sorry to hear your news. Have you had blood tests?

raspberrytipple · 28/06/2011 18:33

oh farfalla I'm so sorry. Hope you are looking after yourself and you get pg again very soon xx

I'm getting a bit miffed with my CBFM. this is my fourth month and it doesn't seem to give me 'high' days. It's day 14 today and its gone and given me a peak today. I thought I might be getting fertile earlier this week because I was so damn randy and my EWCM was perfect so DTD on Saturday and will go for it again tonight (tested after DP left this morning) but is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

SBC congratulations on the wedding - glad you had a lovely honeymoon x

Ilovekittyelise · 28/06/2011 18:47

farfalla i had just typed a really really long response and then MN kicked me out and didnt save it. GRRRR.

in a shorter form: its extremely common to MC at that very early stage; apparently a staggeringly high proportion of eggs released are fertilised (like 80%) yet chances of getting pregnant in a cycle are 25% as so many of these fertilisations are unviable; we just detect a lot of unviable pregnancies these days as the tests are sensitive to such low HCG levels. it is FAR more likely that an unviable egg has been fertilised than an underlying issue to do with your hormone levels (although it cant hurt to take baby aspirin (75mg) daily which there is some evidence to suggest supports early pregnancy, and the psychological effects might be beneficial to you).

try to look on positive side for now. even if your suspicions are correct the NHS wont investigate until you have had 3 recurrent MCs and even then it takes forever (i know someone in that situation), so unless you want to pay to go for tests now, trying to keep a positive outlook is the best you can do.

i had a very early MC in november. i then ovulated about 20 days from the first day of proper bleeding, and am now 30 weeks along with that egg.

you conceived very quickly from when you started trying, and the chances are, even though it probably feels like it will never happen and you have something dreadfully wrong with you, it will happen again soon, and you will have a healthy baby on the way.

boba82 · 28/06/2011 19:57

farfallarocks so sorry Sad big hugs x x

OP posts:
farfallarocks · 29/06/2011 08:39

Thanks girls and Kittyelise your story is incredibly reassuring!!

I have had the blood tests, my progesterone was at 2 and HCG at 13, the nurse said that indicates the pregnancy was failing before it ever got started so your theory fits Kitty.

Think I am going to leave the monitor for this month and start again next month and just give myself a break. Happily off on holiday in a week so that will be a great break from it all and DH has been a complete rock (which makes me want to have his babies even more!)

jazzy283 · 29/06/2011 09:00

Far i am so so so sorry :( :( xx

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 29/06/2011 13:03

Farfall sorry to hear your news, glad you are looking forwards though - good PMA x

Loup23 · 29/06/2011 15:50

congrats on the wedding SBC everything crossed for a honeymoon BFP!

Sorry to hear your news far i m/c in March and know how gutting it is. Fx you'll fall again soon.

CD9 here, not expecting peak for at least 10 days.... Angry

izzybizzybuzzybees · 29/06/2011 19:09

Hey everyone

Sorry to hear about your loss farfalla Sad

I'm on cd 25 now and got my 1st peak yesterday, typical I was on nightshift and couldnt dtd Sad fingers crossed that we may catch the egg tonight! Is that likely?? When do you usually ovulate after seeing 1st peak??

I always seem to ovulate late! This is first month using the monitor ttc%232 and since we've been trying since nov with only one period since then it's good to see a peak!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 29/06/2011 19:10

That should have read ttc%232 not number 232! Yikes!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 29/06/2011 19:11

Argh! Stupid iPhone won't let me use a hash sign it changes it to a percent then 23! It's ttc number 2!!

jazzy283 · 29/06/2011 19:52

well i am 3 days po urrrrggggg i hate this 2 ww

farfallarocks · 30/06/2011 09:20

On a practical note, what I am meant to do with the CBFM now?
it is saying CD 37 which obviously is not right.
Do I re-set it and lose the information stored previously? Or just re-set the M button from the day I started bleeding?
The booklet does not seem to have a section on that!

Loup23 · 30/06/2011 11:03

far i reset mine as 1 on the day I started m/c... It then seemed to pick up a peak that month and each month since but i'm not sure whether that was the right thing to do....

farfallarocks · 30/06/2011 11:29

Thanks Loup23

jazzy283 · 30/06/2011 15:01

ohhhhhhhh my god this 2ww kills meeeeeeeeee!

far maybe call the CBFM helpline 0845 607 6596 and see what they recommend.

izzy I think the peak sign means you will ovulate within the next 24-36 hours so get busy Wink!

keziah how's you?

OP posts:
Keziahhopes · 01/07/2011 18:42

boba - I am surprisingly positive right now.... which is good! Coming to end of long wait to see a private gynae which I hope is helpful as no more nhs support allowed. Gp even wrote a positive letter this time - you will know what that means Grin x
