Argh, caved and did a test at lunchtime. BFN obviously.

AF - either show up or F Off!

jazzy283 · 23/05/2011 12:41

rrrrr Farfalla im :( its so rubbish aint it i hate that feeling then BFN normally when ive done that my AF shows up hope your not left too long im felling grumpy today just not gettting this peak is drving me mad dispite what everyone says i know they are right but its soooo hard :( :(

Keziahhopes · 23/05/2011 17:38

good luck with blood tests and semen sample MiniH and remember if bloods not on right days to go to gp and get forms for next month if you can so they are useful - as if you are referred to a consultant the first thing they will do is re-order them which will delay you by a month.

far sorry for bfn. You are right Dr will not do anything in 2nd month ttc - some people use multivitamins and accupuncture - why not find a good accupuncture person near you and ask them what they would do to help your situation, that can't cost anything to find out?

boba82 · 23/05/2011 17:45

minih Happy Birthday! Hope you've had a lovely day Grin I hope your tests come back with some positive news too.

jazzy fx all the swi does the trick for you this month!

farfall sorry about BFN. You could have underlying problems but also it does take sometime for pill to leave some peoples systems. I know how frustrating absent periods can be. Maybe make an appointment with your GP just to discuss, can't do any harm.

WaterKelpie · 23/05/2011 21:16

Hi, can I join in?

My DH and I are in our 18 month of TTC. We had a miscarriage at 12 weeks in Feb. This is my first cycle using CBFM. I'm on day 17 (with yesterday and today being high) so dtd this morning before DH went away on business!

I was actually quite surprised to get 'normal' results (3 highs followed by two peaks) as I heard that CBFM can give all lows/highs for the first couple of cycles until it gets used to your body. And I've not had the best results in the past when I've tried temp charting or OPKs.

So now, just waiting for everything to happen. Fingers crossed!

Keziahhopes · 23/05/2011 22:24

Hi and welcome WaterKelpie - sorry about your miscarriage in Feb. Hope CBFM works for you. If you want to add your stats, just copy and paste them with yours inculded, or write yours out and someone kind might do it for you!

jazzy283 · 24/05/2011 08:58

:( ok im on day 17 still high no peak and AF is only 11 days away yyyyyyy have i not had a peak feeling really grumpy this past few days

Welcome Waterkelpie

farfallarocks · 24/05/2011 09:03

Morning all!
Feeling a bit more positive today, more spotting - this time red so I think AF is finally on her way. Annoying but in some ways a relief as I know where I stand, roll on the next month.
I am going to order the Zita West vits for me and DH.
Have also booked some accupuncture and am going to focus on eating uber healthily over the next few months.
The really exciting news chez farfal is that DH has stopped smoking (literally overnight, no cigs for 2 days) having been a committed 20 a dayer. He says he can't explain why but jsut does not feel like it anymore. I am thrilled that years of nagging my support might have got through to him at last.
I am thrilled, not just cos of TTC but for his general health.

Welcome water . very sorry to hear about your miscarriage and I hope you get your BFP very soon!
jazzy any peaks yet?
boba thanks for all the advice, I am going to give it a month and then if my cylce is still all over the shop I will go and see the GP.

farfallarocks · 24/05/2011 09:03

Sorry jazzy just saw that.
Try not to worry I think it is just the first month!

jazzy283 · 24/05/2011 09:07

its ok farfalla im just a bit disappointed i think :(

farfallarocks · 24/05/2011 09:55

That is understandable but it does not mean that you did not ovulate.
You have been covering the bases anyway haven't you!?

WaterKelpie · 24/05/2011 09:58

Thanks for the welcome.

Sorry to hear about no peaks, jazzy. Have you had highs all this cycle? Hopefully CBFM will sort itself out soon!

waterkelpie i have been having high readings since CD11 now on 17 but my cycle is only 28/29 days so im some what worried now i think i have been worse this month than other other month TTC i now convinced myself there is something wrong my cervix feels high but i dont really get EWCM so i cant judge on that and i have has no real pains or anything this month :( :( :( :( i have been DtD nearly evet night if not every other during my high but i so desperatly wanted a peak :( :( and now im worried if it comes to late mt LP is too short for implantation ohhhh how we torture ourselves with all this

Ok moan over sorry ladies i know we are all going through Blush

WaterKelpie · 24/05/2011 13:21

jazzy - it might not mean that you haven't ovulated. It is most likely just getting used to your hormone levels. You could have ovulated and the machine just didn't pick it up. Regular cycles are a good sign, usually. I get absolutely no ovulation symptoms either, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't happen!

Ilovekittyelise · 24/05/2011 13:47

farfalla - don't be disheartened....it's only your second cycle, it's normal to take longer, it's more likely that it's taking a few months and everything is normal, than you have an underlying problem xxx

jazzy283 · 24/05/2011 13:50

waterkelpie thanks for that :) :) :)

jayebird · 24/05/2011 17:27

Very sorry about your miscarraige waterkelpie sending positive thoughts ! As for me` back to CD 1 :( AF showed her ugly face this morning.. it just makes no sense how it just wont happen..he tested fine, i had 2 peak days, I was able to have a child 7 years ago so why not now? I wonder what has changed in my body?

tillydream · 24/05/2011 18:49

Hi All.

So sorry to hear your news waterkelpie, there are lots of people here, me included who are able to give you lots of support.
Just wondered if any of you ladies to help me out with some tests I should be requesting from my lovely sleepy country practice GP! I've been diagnosed unexplained infertility. i've had 2 IVF become pregnant both times and then miscarried. I've used CBFM since last mc 9/12 peaks. Cycle range 28-36 days. I'm very spotty and have been for many months, but never used to be - just wondering if I could be a lean pcos??
Any thoughts baout what I can be asking for?

Love to all
Tilly xx

Ilovekittyelise · 24/05/2011 18:51

welcome waterkelpie, i think you will find us a very supportive bunch around here! theres a real mixed bag of experiences, some of us had some early losses (im so sorry about your not really very early at all loss xx), some have had terminations for abnormalities (that was me last summer), some of us long term TTC-ers, and some of us just meaning business from the word go!

there seem to be quite a few of us 'graduates' still hanging around, im not sure if thats good or bad for those of you still peeing on that bloody stick every morning, but i do hope it gives you ladies hope that the indiginities of the TTC process can be replaced by such delights as not being able to tell how horrific your bikini line looks and not being in a great position to do anything about it!

sorry you are back to day one jayebird - have a ginormous glass of wine on me

Love to everyone x

farfallarocks · 24/05/2011 18:54

I for one really like the grads, nothing like a bit of experience and happy success stories!

Jayebird - am also on day one, cylce buddies!
Is it really very sad that I have already worked out that our holiday in 3 months time is NOT going to co-incide with my fertile time and that has really got me down??? Freak alert.

farfallarocks · 24/05/2011 18:56

Tillydream - spotty to me suggests low progesterone? That can also lead to miscarriage I have read as the progesterone prepares the lining of the womb and if there is not enough it can lead to early break down and makes implantaion hard.

Did they give you any hormone tests before IVF?

Keziahhopes · 24/05/2011 20:05

tilly when you have had 3 miscarriages (hope you don't) you can ask to be referred to a miscarriage clinic - might your gp do that anyway to see what tests they do for you? If not you can pay (sadly) for Immune testing - level 1 and level 2 tests (know several clinics do it - London more choice, otherwise in middle of country there is Care, might be more). This is what we are doing. Gp funded half of level 1's :-)

WaterKelpie · 24/05/2011 22:46

Thanks again for the welcome. I actually had another miscarriage (5 weeks). It was unplanned before DH and I married but was dearly wanted. The second one was just as horrific and heart-wrenching, for completely different reasons.

I was a bit all over the place for a while, but having the CBFM has really helped me feel like I have the tiniest bit of control over TTC, especially since my cycles are irregular (OPKs and charting never work for me). Although, now I know I've definitely ovulated, I'm going to spend the next two weeks counting days and looking out for the smallest wave of nausea!

Sometimes I think it would be best if I just knew that we will conceive in X month, so that I wouldn't have the worry and then that glimmer of hope each week before AF! I could just relax and know that it was definitely coming in X months' time. But that would be too easy!

Jayebird, sorry you're back to day 1 again. I usually spend days 1-3 of my cycle stuffing myself silly with chocolate and cakes - my healthy eating resolve just goes completely out of the window! There's nothing like a bit of wallowing before some fresh positive thinking!

jazzy283 · 25/05/2011 09:07
