Welcome ladies to our new home yet again!! I hope this one will be as lucky as the last one was!

Short rant...

Ahghghg. How are you supposed to dtd on the right days when DH is away, then tonight he's been working, I've been working, then I've been sorting stuff out for DD going away for a week tomorrow, and speaking to friend who's coming round to do decking, and then transferring some money over to another account, and then him having a work call, and now just got to send an email etc etc etc.

I could not feel less like dtd. Just thinking about all the things I've got to do tomorrow and feeling irritated that DH is prioritising work over TTC.

And today is my second high day, so tomorrow and Sat should be peak and DH is taking DD off tomorrow and won't be back til Sat evening. Just a complete waste of time. :(

[rant over - sorry!]

Keziahhopes · 19/05/2011 23:16

Elm can empathise with your rant.... sometimes I want to kill my dh - but then that would help even less, sigh! Roll onto next month, hey for us both.

jazzy283 · 20/05/2011 09:11

hey ladies Elm im sorry but as kezia said roll on nxt month im on D3 of high so waiting for my peak days so excited every morning :) :) my DH was away all last month however not working away for another 2 weeks so FX we will make it on peak this month if i get one :(

farfallarocks · 20/05/2011 10:20

Elm, I totally agree. Although sometimes I think you just have to let the month go and not force the issue as frustrating as it is.

Pretty gutted this morning as have brown spotting.
No AF cramps though. If AF does arrive today that is a 20 day cycle and 7 day luteal phase which is no use to anyone :(
My cycles are just getting shorter and shorter after the pill

jazzy283 · 20/05/2011 10:29

just wait Farfalla till after AF due if does not offically start and retest :) dont be down hun we are all going through the same as heart wreching and disappointing as it is you wiol get there :) :) :)

farfallarocks · 20/05/2011 10:56

thanks!
I read the story about a baby girl being dumped in the rubbish (she was found dead) and started crying the tube.
It's just so unfair that we are all longing for a baby and someone can just dump a baby in the rubbish

jazzy283 · 20/05/2011 11:15

i know its not fair is it :(

farfallarocks · 20/05/2011 16:48

Hope you all have a nice weekend!
No sign of AF yet so I live in hope

weimy · 20/05/2011 20:52

ElmMum · 21/05/2011 13:55

Not selfish knackered, it really gets you down and these threads are full of people who totally understand how hard it is. You get good days and bad days. Good luck with the laparoscopy.

jazzy hope you get your peak soon.

Welcome weimy :)

DH redeemed himself yesterday by coming back from his work trip last night (rather than staying over) and we met at the pub, got nicely sozzled and dtd when we got home. I feel rough today and he's had to head off to work again early, so he was a bit of a star to trek all the way back here last night.

I am going to try to be less obsessed for a bit. It's hard though when you're 39. That clock is ticking really loudly.

Hope you're all having okay days and getting lots of highs and peaks.

tillydream · 21/05/2011 16:39

Hi All
Just wanted to say thank you everyone who has been sos pportive, feeling more like up from under the duvet now!! Your right choccie and boba and everyone else and I'm sorry for being such a grumpy old (bday due soon and starting to panic at 37!) bag and promise to be more positive from now on!! Day 31 and boobs sore -late ov for me (days 20/21 peak) so no hope this time round!

Chasing 'the magic formula' is exhausting - Choccie you made me laugh out loud because I do that to myself every month but must now stop cos exhausted!! House up for sale and hoping for some fun times if it sells.. All this planning for the future makes the present a bit sh*t for me at the moment!

Interestingly my very dear friend who is pg got pg the very same cycle she was told that her DH sperm count was so bad they would need ICSI. So don't give up hope girls, many blessings are born out of sorrow.

Love to all xx

tillydream · 21/05/2011 16:41

so supportive....d'oh!! Blush Blush as I read soooo many more typos....Must proof read!!

Ah sod it u all know what I meant to say!! LOL

Tilly

Keziahhopes · 21/05/2011 17:39

Hi Weimy - lots of support here, ask away. Or moan away also - we all need that and the one thing that I like about this thread is the really genuine support here.

KC sorry af hit you and the feelings that came with it but try and hold onto the thought that maybe you will not get a bfp until after the medical procedure you need and after that there may a solution as to why no natural bfp!! If it cheers you up my cycles are in the 30's ttc#1.

Tilly - absolutely Grin

Well had review for failed IVF ICSI cycle - dr not the most helpful, just said "it doesn't always work, until had 3 failed cycles blah blah blah" - wouldn't change anything apart from increase the stimming drug a bit. The fact that the problem was that the blast did not implant was not mentioned! So, we booked an appointment with a more senior dr at the same place (who is leaving late summer) for a 2nd opinion before we spend lots of £££ and go through it all agan. Back to the CBFM in the hope the drugs might produce a natural bfp, but not over hopeful. At least now more mobile on just one crutch!

boba82 · 22/05/2011 09:33

KC Sorry AF got you, don't lose hope, like keziah said good chance of BFP after laproscopy.

keziah you never know?! Good luck. x

jazzy283 · 22/05/2011 11:28

ok can someone advise me can you go through the first cycle without peak i am on CD15 still high no peak i have 28 day cycle so slightly panicking about no peak yet :( i was told by my GP i should peak ov around day 14 [Hmm] im hoping im just being silly as normal lol

farfallarocks · 22/05/2011 12:24

hi all! Jazzy I think its very normal in the first cycle for the monitor not to pick up on the high as its still getting to know you. You might also just ovulate a bit later? I think GPs know very little about TTC sometimes and say day 14 because that is text book?

Keep going and I would not worry until you have 2 or 3 cycles with no peak (easier said than done eh?)

Sorry to all those feeling down, it is so hard isn't it?

Still no sign of AF for me, just brown spotting when I wipe (sorry if TMI!) I have never had this before but am not allowing myself to get too hopeful!

KnackeredCow · 22/05/2011 16:59

Boba Thanks for your support. I appreciate it.

ElmMum Your words were very kind too. Top marks for your DH though. I am impressed!

Keziah Glad to hear that you are more mobile now. Definitely a good idea to get a second opinion.

Jazzy If you have a regular 28 day cycle it's highly likely that you ovulate. My cycle is 28 / 29 days and I normally peak on day 15 or 16. On average a woman ovulates 10 to 16 days before the start of AF, NOT 14 days after AF. The number of days between ovulation and the start of AF is your luteal phase. This should vary very little from one month to the next. So a woman with a 11 day luteal phase and 28 day cycle would ovulate on day 17 and probably peak on day 16. If ovulation is delayed in a month, AF will most probably arrive late. For example, a woman may have a 30 day cycle and 14 day luteal phase. Normally she would ovulate on day 16. However, ovulation may be delayed by three days one month. This means she'll probably start her period 3 days late. Once the CBFM is used to you, you'll get to know your cycle and be able to predict much better. It is possible for the CBFM to miss the peak, especially within the first couple of months of using the monitor. Last month CBFM missed my high completely and went straight to peak. That's never happened before and I've been using it for months. Don't fret yet. I would say that it's worth booking in with your GP once you've been trying unsuccessfully for a year, however (regardless of what the CBFM is telling you).

Farfallarocks Hopefully you'll be joining the graduates list soon... Smile

weimy · 22/05/2011 19:53

Sorry to those hit by AF :(

I am on CD4 and just waiting to be asked to poas, might get overly excited about it Grin

Thank you for the welcome!

jazzy283 · 22/05/2011 21:15

Knackered thanks sooooo much for you reply lots of info better than my stupid bloody dr lol we have been trying for 8 mths now and cause of previous history i have already had bloods my done via the Dr but my cycles where all over the place he wanted to refer me to Nurture @ our hospital however i wanted to try the natural way first so i have it in my head i will wait till the year mark which in a couple of months away.

MiniH · 23/05/2011 07:50

Another year older for me and still no bfp - had thought it would have happened by now. Birthdays and things like that are really annoying as it reminds you of how time is flying by.

On a more positive note, had my first bloods last week and got my next one in a few weeks time and dh off to get his swimmers tested so we may have some answers sometime soon.

Jazzy - I agree with the others. Try not to worry (I know it's hard). The monitor didn't pick up a peak for me for first two months (first cycle I spooked my cycle into being the longest cycle ever so went the whole month and 20 sticks on low - that was very disheartening!) hang in there

jazzy283 · 23/05/2011 09:10

Hi thanks for all yor encouragement, so i am on CD16 and still just high no peak so just in case me and DH have been dtd everynight lol i know people say it should be every other but hey ho we are enjoying it :) :) :) TMI here i have painfull boobs today and cervix is very high and open so to speak so im hoping im at my peak and trying toget the BFP this month pleaseeeeeeeee

farfallarocks · 23/05/2011 09:57

Welcome Weimy!
Good luck with the tests MiniH, hope you get some answers or reassurance
Good that you are enjoying DTD Jazzy as it can get stressful if you feel like you are just doing it for babymaking purposes!

Still no sign of AF here but feeling very crampy this morning with more brown discharge. Very odd indeed as have never had this before but it has only been 3 months since I stopped the pill.

I am concerned that this, combines with short cycles and short luteal phase is a sign of low progesterone.
Does anyone have any experience of this and what is the best approach? I imagine the GP will fob me off as we have not been trying for long enough. Is there any way of regularing these hormones naturally? Have read about B vits and accupuncture but these seem to have mixed results.

Just wish AF would just turn up and let the next cycle begin frankly :(
