Hurrah for Lou and Diege Grin
Hugs for Hippy and Hippychicklet

hippychick66 · 31/03/2011 13:32

He isn't a big water drinker but I will try saying. porridge and banana only and water only for the next 2 days. Thanks ladies.

wonderful news about the scan lou - I remember you saying that lots of people have another baby a year after a stillborn - strange how that happens (but very good Grin)

Alas - even if I did ov later. AF is defo on her way. Blood when i wiped earlier. I will possibly try temping this month as suggested by my preggo mate diege - but will try not to obsess too much.

shandybass · 31/03/2011 14:00

Hi all. Just been catching up with all your posts. diege what a time you've been having, but so great to see the little bean. Also hi and great news Lou.
The rest of us are back to swi and hoping I guess. I haven't started temping yet cd4 but I probably will now. Dh is a bit like one of yours saying not to worry we've got two lovely dcs. I know he's right and I wish I could leave it and be content. Especially as I dithered for 6 mths anyway wondering about whether to go for it or not.

Your spa sounds great. I'm feeling very lazy at the moment so that fits the bill brilliantly. Maybe I shouldn't gate crash though!

Curlylox · 31/03/2011 14:04

Yes lou today is a good day, good news re your scan. Been to Drs all my test results are normal but she couldn't give me dh results due to the data protection blah blah blah.......which is bizarre as she ordered the test as a result of an appointment I had with her, dh was not present. So am impatiently waiting for Dr to call him..........
Lol cd 8 so just 2 days behind you Smile

Curlylox · 31/03/2011 14:06

lou how is Ant today, did he go with you to the scan?

OP posts:
Diege · 31/03/2011 14:31

Excellent news Lou! I think I'm just a few days behind you (edd on my dates 9/11).
Hippy I think bananas are the way forward. My Zimbabwean friend was telling me on Tuesday that they hand out bananas with your bus ticket as there are no toilets on the coaches there. She was amazed we don't all do it on journeys over here Grin. I see the problem with the leakage and cinema...I'm sure if it's coming out at a rate now things will have settled by weekend.
Hi Shandy, good to hear from you. My dh has always been a bit like that but never had string feelings about not going for it either..Curly hope you hear back soon - yes, pretty odd about DPA i this case, but then quite typical in the medical context I'd imagine.
Off to wake ds up then up to school. Back later x

TinaO99 · 31/03/2011 14:47

hey all so sorry to panashe hope you're ok :-( but big hugs and congrats to diege yeay

hubby just had his test result back and it's all good!!! He's thrilled but I'm worried now somethings wrong with me so going to get an appointment next week and ask to be referred, it will at least make me feel I'm doing something!

bad news on the house front as we had a valuation that proved less than our mortgage but we're going to put it on the market inmay anyway and hope for the best! Our luck sucks at the moment lol

hey to everyone else by the way Grin

hippychick66 · 31/03/2011 14:49

shandy I know what you mean exactly. i wish i could be content with my 2 and not have this nagging feeling that one more is out there waiting to join us. But, like you, I am always grateful for my 2 DCs (even the one who is ruining all his pj bottoms!!!)

diege you have to be 2 days late and get that elusive 11.11.11 baby. How cool when he/she gets older and is asked "date of birth?"

Thanks to curly and jolls for your nutritional advice. I know coke is not good but i had heard the bubbles are good for tummy ache - probably rubbish.

Off to ebay to order more cheap opk's and hpt's. i cannot keep using those bloody digital ones _ DH would go loopy if he knew the price. Blush

hippychick66 · 31/03/2011 14:51

tina - crossed posts with you. So sorry about the house valuation. Good luck on the market though - it's all happening on this thread re: moves! Just cos your DH is ok doesn't mean you're not - you could both be fine. [optimistic face]

I'll bet all these DH's never thought they'd be taking tests again, so long after they left school Grin

lolfactor · 31/03/2011 15:02

Yay Lou! Have made my boys wait outside the classroom so I can check you're ok. I'm becoming obsessed with scans! SO PLEASED for you.

Byeee - right, come in Yr 8....

hippychick66 · 31/03/2011 15:45

LOL at lol !!!!

hippychick66 · 31/03/2011 15:47

Gave DS2 water and told him the ladies on MN says that's all he can drink - oh boy is he mad with you guys!!!

brinjal · 31/03/2011 16:32

Diege huge congratulations I'm so so pleased for you. My due date is 9/11/11 by my dates too, but they will probably move this as I think I ovulated late, plus the tiny size at last week's scan.

Hi to everyone. More good news, over on the November ante-natal thread (which I'm too cowardly to join at the moment) there are 3 pregnant ladies over forty, they are 42, 43 and 49 (when conceived, now 50). This lady used donor eggs in Madrid.

Helicopter, spa, so much fun here! I love it!

brinjal · 31/03/2011 16:33

Meant to say, get well soon Hippychicklet

shandybass · 31/03/2011 16:37

Ha ha that's fab hippy maybe I should try that instead of the naughty step. Mumsnetters say so that's that! No argument.

louisesh · 31/03/2011 20:03

Thanks all XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Curly Ant not bad thanks. He spoke to his manager and shes told him he can have counselling in work time and to make sure he takes regular structured breaks.I m still trying to persuade him to have some AL but he's got some odd ideas about work ie; you have to be there all the time!!!!!!!!!!! However, i ve got 2 days to work on him.Yes he came to the scan i NEVER go to scans on my own everything elae i m fine with but i can t physically walk in for a scan on my own after the shitty scans we ve had , particularly Georgie's last scan at 41 wks to be told her heart had stopped. Thanks for asking Smile
Lol can t believe you had your class waiting outside while you checked on me!!!!!! HE HE.
Hippy sorry AF's coming ((()))
Thanks jolls

hippychick66 · 31/03/2011 22:16

lol @ jolls

hopefulgum · 01/04/2011 00:55

Yea, what are we going to be doing on the spa break? Long walks -walking shoes - check. Lounging - lounging cardy and cashmere pants (this is virtual), more lounging gear for facials, massages and meditation? That should do it. Oh - and I suppose we'll need something nice for dining?

I'm looking forward to relaxing.

In reality we are having friends over for dinner on Saturday night, so I'll spend Saturday shopping, tidying and cooking...I'll need a spa break after that. And I'd best get started on the SMEP I suppose. CD8 today. Don't know if I have it in me (Oh, pardon the pun). Might just wait for the "go, go, go!" signal on the fertility monitor. I do hope it works soon. The monitor sticks are a rip-off.

I wish I'd started a business when I started ttc my son 4 years ago. Then I'd get all the pee sticks wholesale and make a profit too. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Glad to hear the scan went well, Lou.

hippychick66 · 01/04/2011 09:50

(Hippy rummages around but alas can find no cashmere pants in her wardrobe.) Will jogging bottoms with a hole in the knee do ??? Grin

hippychick66 · 01/04/2011 10:18

Grab her girls - she's trying to go without us!!

Yes I would love to go on Jezza Kyles programme but unfortunately I have too many teeth Grin -see.

Well I tried starving DS2 for a good few hours and then just gave him some porridge and .... you guessed it... on the toilet 5 minutes later. So we are off to the docs soon. We have our first viewing at 2pm and then another tomorrow at 11 (not sure how I'm meant to fit a bloody spa break into all this).

Breaking news:- DH has a job interview on the Island on Monday am just waiting to hear back from one of the high schools, if they are free to show us around we are all gonna go with him and have a look around the school so we can decide if that is definitely the right area for us. You can see why i need DS2's bum to STOP running. Gotta go and tidy up a bit more before the docs.
