OP posts:
hippychick66 · 12/05/2011 09:39

isaboo those symptoms sound good girlie - keep us informed.

gum glad your boobs are tingling Grin stationEry is paper and stationAry is not moving. I remember them like this:- stationEry = Envelope and stationAry = Absolutely still Grin there you go - a spelling lesson from hippy !!!! Grin

I have collected my clomid ready for next month (although after all that bloody sperm meets egg shagging I MUST be pregnant for goodness sake), anyway, back in the real world - it says first tablet on cycle day 2 then for the next 4 days. Does that seem early to start ?? Maybe BB knows???

hippychick66 · 12/05/2011 09:44

Sorry BB - I didn't see your post (where did it spring from???)

I'm not sure about the whole high low peak etc. I don't use a monitor. I do know that i ov about 2 days after a pos on an OPK if that is any help at all. I'd say, do it woman - you never know it might just be the shag that works!

Also, regarding your temps - again I'm no expert and I only temped for about 3 months but i woulod say, are you defo taking your temp at the same time? - I found that mine fluctuated so much and it was cos I wasn't very consistant.

Ignore me if I'm no help.

I'm off to watch the second apprentice on catch up Grin Brew

BeattieBow · 12/05/2011 10:00

oh no, I'm very crap at taking my temperature at the same time. also i wake up loads of times in the night too. And I was away on Tuesday night, so it's all very unreliable. but even so, would in the past see a definite shift in temperatures.

I poas too this month - the clear blue smiley faces one, and got a positive on that on Sunday (the day before the peak on the cbfm). Thursday seems a long time after that to ovulate. so it's all pointing to an anovulatory cycle which is a pisser. never mind will see if I can persuade dh to dtd tonight too just in case.

BeattieBow · 12/05/2011 10:02

I should say the temperature this morning was exceptionally low too.

Waiting for Gum or Diege to come along -they know lots about temping! Are you there gum or diege?!

panashe · 12/05/2011 10:30

I've had a recurring spot on my nose each month with af and like magic it was there bright and shining this morning ( and its horrible, make up just slides off it, can't cover it up Shock )

So along with af cramps, and no more desires for baked beans Grin I'm guessing I'm out of the running this month..

Doesn't help you Beattie, sorry no idea about temping.

hippychick66 · 12/05/2011 10:36

BB I would say that the smiley face was a good sign and that you probably ov'd a couple of days after that - maybe the temp is low for another reason (did you get up for the loo and then temp less than 3 hours later??) Don't assume that you haven't ov'd though.( positive face)

If you got a peak and a smiley face they both point to your body gearing up for it and it's more likely that you went on to ov than that you didn't - IYSWIM.

Anyway, have paused the apprentice and hung out the washing (and checked MN) so back to the apprentice with another Brew Hard work innit?

hippychick66 · 12/05/2011 10:37

ps. BB what cycle day were you told to start clomid please?

hippychick66 · 12/05/2011 10:38

pps. sorry to hear about your spotty nose panashe - I'm still laughing about the beans on toast. Everytime DS1 asks for them I will have to get him to POAS Grin

right defo back to apprentice now.

BeattieBow · 12/05/2011 10:48

day 2 Hippy. Best to take it in the evening ime - as you can get quite alot of nausea (feels like morning sickness just to make you feel really good!).

hippychick66 · 12/05/2011 11:35

Thanks BB - can't wait for the friggin' nausia to come and taunt me!

TinaO99 · 12/05/2011 11:41

Hi Italian yes very exciting to be so near to the start of your tx.
Hi Panashe
Hi Curly
Hi Gum hope you re ok?
Hippy oh,oh starting Clomid so soon...I m so excited for you X
Hi Jolls sleep well..X
Hi Isaboo X
Hope everyone's well? Tired as work very busy but finished for the week today yeh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Popped in to the EPU this a.m as mentalling no scans available but the sister listened in and heard GBOS's heartbeat......So plod on to the next scan next week.Sleep well all XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

hippychick66 · 12/05/2011 21:45

lou glad you heard the heartbeat - keep going lovey, every day is one day closer to meeting GBOS.

I am excited about the clomid (stupidly Confused) but am hoping (even more stupidly) that all this shagging will result in a pregnancy and I wont even need to start it.... Hmm dream on Hippy...

On the flip side. We officially engaged a solicitor today and all is going ahead with the sale. I do feel excited to think that in 3 monbths I'll be on the Island and no longer TTC (IYSWIM)

hopefulgum · 13/05/2011 00:14

Hi girlies.

Thanks for the heads up on the spelling Hippy, I had a feeling it was incorrect. I'm ashamed to reveal that I am in fact a high school English teacher Shock But these days it's all about critical literacy at the expense of actual literacy. At least that's my excuse!

BB I would have thought if you got a "peak" on the monitor that ovulation would be imminent, otherwise, wouldn't it just read "high"? I think if it is a peak then you presume you will ovulate. I thought that continuous "high" readings meant a likely anovulatory cycle. As for the temp dip - sometimes I get a dip the day before O, but it might just be best to ignore the temp.

Lou, so glad GBOS's heartbeat is making itself heard. It does feel like the pregnancy has flown, but I'm sure it has been slow and hard for you.

Every time I read Tank's updates on her blog I feel so happy for her, but at the same time it reminds me of how far along I didn't make it, as I was two weeks behind her. I really hope I can be pregnant before my due date, I think it will soften the blow, but maybe I'll be fine anyway, I don't know...

Right now I'm just trying to be positive. I am having a few more symptoms, but you know I always do, so won't read too much into it. This time next week I'll know either way.

Penashe, sorry to hear you feel it's all over for you. TTC is hard work sometimes, isn't it?

Diege · 13/05/2011 14:32

Hello! Sorry for absence; things have been manic at work. Great news on house Hippy - I was reading something the other day about a great seafood place on the IOW (in Red magazine I think) and thought of you scoffing yourself Wink
Great to hear hb Lou Smile. I will def be in copter with you next week, complete with cheer leader pom poms and definitely NO gravy.
Gum sounds very exciting..how long do you have to hold out til testing?Jolls gutted for you Sad. I too had a cp a few mths before this pregnancy.
All fine here. 15 wks today and had booking in with mw today. Tried to ignore all the sneery comments from her about number 5 - honestly, you'd think she'd be more respectful what with me keeping her in a job and all Grin. Anyway, things seem ok, though lukocytes (sp?) in urine which signals an infection. I do have thrush though so am presuming it's that. Have also been told by her that a vbac will be unlikely due to bandels ring being found during my section with ds (was due to an obstructed labour). She also said that ds was macrosomatic (he was 9 ib 8ozs) as over 4.5 kg which I thought a bit odd as thought he was just under that. Anyone know the conversion to kgs of 9.8Ibs? Blush So all fine, but am off to see the consultant next thurs to get another opinion. Fun and games!
I am taking orders for bitro early today as need an early one after doing controllede crying with ds last night Am assuming it's the paella Italian?

hippychick66 · 13/05/2011 16:01

(Hippy thumbs through her translation book to try to work out what language diege is talking in Confused) My goodness, you are very knowledgable.

My DS1 was 9lb 7 oz - does that mean he just missed out on being macrosomatic???

I'm really glad all is kinda ok with you diege although I'm not sure what it all means Grin - just keep that little diege-bean safe in there, lovie.

I will sit down to a nice meal of paella with italian - oh hang i forgot she always turns up for food at about 11.30pm - scratch that idea!!

Diege · 13/05/2011 16:39

Grin Hippy, oh yes I am the font of all that is google-speak Wink. I will ask on Thurs about the macro thing - I'm sure ds (and your's) are top end of normal but will confirm!
Oh yes, I've put paella on chef's list as late night/early Sat morning prep as that's when Italian usually shows her face.

hippychick66 · 13/05/2011 17:39

I've been looking at babies on the internet who are macrosomatic. I had never heard of it before. It basically means a whopping great baby. I'm not worried, mine were 9 and a half pounds and 9 pounds. Both me and DH are quite large people and I did manage to get both boys out the way nature intended - although i did have to be cut for No1 and tore for No2. ahh well - all worth it in the end Grin

Yes, what is it with italian turning up so late. I'll have some paella now please and perhaps the smell will entice her in Smile

BeattieBow · 13/05/2011 17:54

my ds2 was well macrosomatic then - 10lb 4 Shock

but birth was very good. very quick due to lack of resistance in my pelvic floor Smile

Diege · 13/05/2011 18:02

Wooh big babies all round! MIne were 7.6, 8.1, 7.11, 9.8. First 3 normal deliveries, albeit with a 3rd degree tear and ventouse along the way. Poor ds was an obstructed labour due to size and diagonal position, resulting in section under GA. I would love to have another normal birth, but if the risk is deemed too great I'm not arguing the point!
Paella coming up, but a veggie one I'm afraid!

BeattieBow · 13/05/2011 18:41

mine all got bigger each time. first one was 7.4. next 7.8, then 8.4 then I forget what the next one was - 9 something and ds2 10.4. I dread to think that the next one would be!

Italiangreyhound · 13/05/2011 20:13

Yes, Paella please ? we can?t eat the prawns when pregnant!

Lou glad things are going well. Grin

Tank do you still look in on us from time to time?Thinking of you, honey, as always.

Lol how is your son, any decisions on the future with DP? All the best.

Diege hope all is well and you can cope with cooking tonight.

BB, Gum, Jolls, Isaboo, Tina, Panashe and Curly - hugs to you all Wink.

nicole are you still around?

Hippy How goes it? Ready to move yet?! I wish you all the very best.

Fed up with DH who is very quiet and uncommunicative today and DD who is eating very messily! Still in the gran scheme of things that is nothing! I ahve had a hissy fit and removed myself from the table!

Just time to write to you all. Smile

We are so close for our longed for fertility treatment to start, may start next month or July with a view to treatment the following month!

So excited!

Re my weight (sorry if you are bored with my weight sags, look away now!)

I am doing really well now that I am on the new ID course www.newid.info/

here

I have found I am not thinking about food in the same way, I am not feeling deprived by not having lots of treats etc and I am feeling so positive about what I do eat. It is great. It is early days. Only been to one session and the next one is coming up (there are 6 in total). Due to a sort holiday I will miss one session and I feel quite sad to be missing it! So, onwards and upwards (or rather downwards as I have already lost some weight, but the main thing is to get my eating in normal boundaries). Grin

There is no weigh in or talk of diets etc, or exercise, there is just a look at helping us with problems with eating.

I know it might not be right for everyone, and not everyone who overeats has an eating disorder.

I felt kind of weird 'labelling' myself as having an eating disorder as I have not been medically diagnosed but I know how I am around food, I impulse eat and at times compulsively eat too. So for me the course is just what I need!

Best wishes to all.

lolfactor · 13/05/2011 22:29

Lol is seen nipping into the bistro for a last minute take-out of warm chicken liver salad and is heard to shout 'oooo, brilliant' to Italian who is just on a bit of a roll at the moment. Wooohooo.

DHEA, btw, can be bought here www.centerforhumanreprod.com/premature_ovaries.html

I'm having a test to see how much I already have so that I don't take an overdose and grow a beard to go with my moustache Shock

Isaboo · 13/05/2011 23:04
