As you were ladies Smile

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 05/05/2011 10:45

gum we are in sync Smile- I think i am having ov pains today (day 13).

Yes my DH is like a conjoined twin with the feckin' TV remote as well.

Arrghhh - let's all become lesbians, live in a big commune and get preggers via the internet and a turkey baster!!! No!.... maybe not then.Grin

Last night watched a programme called misbehaving mums to be. This stupid girl who smoked 20 fags a day and was 5 months pregnant said it was ok cos it was giving her baby's heart a good work out and it was struggling to get oxygen and would therefore get a good strong heart ShockShock - if she had been in the room with me I would have punched her.

She said she would pack it in after doing a test that showed her that her baby was well over the safe limit for carbon monoxide but then she just stopped contacting them and didn't answer her phone. She then came on the TV saying it was just too stressful to try to give up now, she was in a bad enough mood most mornings without having to do it all without a fag!!

panashe being a tennis coach would be a great life style - plus he'll get loads of girls Wink

panashe · 05/05/2011 11:36

I think it'd be great life style too - he was doing spanish & arabic at uni..the plan was to get coaching badges too and go off to spain or dubai or somewhere hot at least !!

But he couldn't do the aracbic just toooo hard & they didn't do pure spanish degree & wouldn't let him swop to spanish and something else ! I was angry really, because now although he can go back in September he's had a taste of earning money & seems to have lost his motivation for studying, coupled with 9k a year fees !

I'm a bit stressed today exdh back in country tmrw & has asked me to go out for meal with him and kids. Tough one as dp not keen and also it would be too awkward if he came. So feel a bit pmtish but know its too soon.

Blitzed the house this hour or so and its nice :)

hippychick66 · 05/05/2011 11:45

Not sure what to advise about your ex. Not knowing the full story and not knowing him etc. But hope it goes ok.

Your son sounds very bright - even to attempt arabic Shock

ps. hubbie has just emailed and asked if I can pick him up so he can come home for lunch - cheeky bugger - how can i pick him up when i can't drive for toffee???????????????

panashe · 05/05/2011 11:53

You should order a taxi for him Grin

hippychick66 · 05/05/2011 13:46

I had been cleaning the loos before I went to pick him up and I sent an email saying that if he said anything about my driving I would make him a sandwich without washing my hands.

He was very quiet on the way home!!!

ps. please note that obviously i wore gloves and I DID clean my hands as well as soon as I'd finished - I'm not that bad Grin

BeattieBow · 05/05/2011 14:20

Can I ask you a question Hippy about your 6am swi? (sorry am being v nosey!) - do you set an alarm or just happen to wake up then?

We don't have a good track record recently with morning swi - one of the dcs inevitably either appears or has a crisis outside the bedroom.

Anyway, am getting to swi time soon maybe too and wondering what to do about the whole thing. Dh mentioned that he thought it wouldn't be a good idea to get pg now (he put it much more strongly than that) and it made me unaccountably angry even though I had thought and said the same thing on here. but then again like Gum's dh he hasn't been producing the condoms or abstaining, so I'm not sure what he thinks he's doing.

We have nearly signed our lease now and have found someone to rent our house. Have also found 2 school places but can't get these until we have the lease signed, a council tax bill and a utility bill - probably about a month after we've actually moved in. It's a crazy system. I'm also slightly worried about the other school place (to put it mildly) - am hoping someone leaves that year group over the summer. It's a nightmare though - I have no idea how people ever move towns and get their children into a school.

hippychick66 · 05/05/2011 14:30

Grin BB I did set an alarm for 6am but I woke up at 5.56am anyway - spooky huh! We are both knackered and grumpy today (hence the row about the driving) so not sure early morning SWIs are the way forward. Will be so glad when we stop TTC and can have sex when we bloody want to!

Sorry to hear the move is stressing you out. I know what you mean about schools etc and i haven't even applied for places yet.

BeattieBow · 05/05/2011 15:19

we got a morning swoi in the other day - was a miracle though as ds2 often wakes up at 6am. Now he's taken to waking up all night instead so not much chance of any shagging going on!

Are the schools oversubscribed in IOW? Most of the schools I am looking at have teeny tiny catchment areas and about 6 people on the waiting list for each school. We have found 2 places in the school we left 6 years ago - a church school so different criteria apply and 1 in a secondary school for ds1. Nothing for dd2 though yet. I will be pretending to educate her at home while I work fulltime at this rate!

hippychick66 · 05/05/2011 19:11

Bb the schools are not over subscribed on IOW. There are places at all the schools we are interested in. I just wish we could decide for defo on an area.

lolfactor · 05/05/2011 23:22

Hi there

Hippy BB Italian thank you. It's good to hear your views. I didn't go to the specialist in the end. I talked it over with dp and we both agreed we were scared of buggering up our chances in Clomid caused an imbalance in my hormones. At the moment all my levels are fine and I'm keen to keep them that way - especially after your 10-day experience, BB. Hope you kept up with the iron pills.

That said, Hippy I totally 'get' what you're saying about no scan plus clomid. I'd do the same because it's only for three months. And it's your 'final' shot (before the three later 'final' shots Grin. Inconsistent? Me?

I'm CD18 after ovulating around CD10 and I've got cramps, mild nausea and vaguely tingly hippies. This has happened about 6 times in the last 14 months of ttc. I get pregnant very easily and they disappear just as quickly, I suspect.

Did anyone watch that lovely programme on fertilizing eggs with that lovely Dr (if you see what I mean Confused) Wow. All those whippy-tailed sperm being lulled to sleep in the fallopian tube, only to be woken by the ripened egg. A sight to behold. I never knew sperm were blue. They looked a bit like skinny smurfs.

hopefulgum · 06/05/2011 00:47

Lol, I'd love to see that programme. I do hope that DH's sperm have lasted since the morning before last - that they were sleeping and waiting patiently for my egg, as I think I Oed last night and my bloody DH didn't pick up on the signals - I even gave him the other of all foot massages. Argh! Oh well, I know sperm can survive a while. Hopefully they will.

Now I'm being hassled to get off the computer - morning rush. Will hop back on later...

Italiangreyhound · 06/05/2011 02:25

Interesting programme on BBC1 tonight, caught a bit of it, called ?Inside the human body?. Is that the one you mean lol?

www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01102yg/hd/Inside_the_Human_Body_Creation/

here

I have not watched it all. I am not recommending it!

Hippy hope you tell DH that all women drive badly, well my DH says I do, but if so how come men pay higher insurance because they are thought to be more likely to have accidents?

My treatment is due to start soon. Getting excited now! But also freaking out because it has always taken about 9 weeks in the past and we are off on holiday in 11 weeks so if we do not start almost immediately there will be problems. I am so stressed now! Not helpful.

randomimposter · 06/05/2011 09:01

Hi all - sorry have been AWOL - me me me post coming up.

Am on day 29 here, which is late for me. POAS this morning, but it's either the faintest of faint positive lines EVER recorded, or it's an evap line. Nothing came up straight away and had to leave it to deal with DS. Came back after more than 10 minutes and there is a shadow of a line. But very unconvincing.

Am going to do what I did last time and test again 19 days after last SWI if no AF in the interim. Cos that's what peeonastick.com says, I remember. That'd be Monday. (Just looked back and last 2 BFPs for last 2 pgs were not until day 31 and day 30)

I'm not feeling remotely pregnant, so would be quite shocked if I am, we only managed to SWI on CD12 and 13. I had some spotting and pain on CD 16 and 18, and then started to spot again around CD23 for a few days. Assumed first lot might be attempted implantation and 2nd lot pre-period. But have had a clean gusset for a few days now. So could the first lot be ov, and the 2nd implantation? Who knows. Have a busy weekend coming up so at least I'll not have time to dwell or fret :) Hmm.

Apart from aftermath of MMCs/ERPCs I've never had a longer than 28 day cycle. So that must mean I've started my menopause... that would top things off nicely!!

Hope everyone's doing ok. hippy have been reading and supportively nodding at your clomid thread xx

Isaboo · 06/05/2011 09:41

just a quick one .......loads to do today jolls stay sane over the w/e I can't imagine it is the menopause yet, strange I think I should be envious that you have a chance of being upduffed but I have done the late am I ? aren't I ? thing so often I know how hard it is ...just for laughs though I never ever felt preg with either of my successful pregnancies until the sick fairy visited at 7 weeks but did immediately with the one that ended in mc will be thinking about you this w/e

Italian v exciting you can always cancel the holiday and rebook if you have too ...

I have shouted at everyone this morning Angry ..even the dog

louisesh · 06/05/2011 09:49

Oh Jolls XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Hope so.
Italian I meant i m getting excited about you starting your tx..... Breathe, big deep breaths XXXX
Hi all XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

BeattieBow · 06/05/2011 11:27

ooh jolls please poas tomorrow too, I can't wait until Monday!

cd 13 here, still low on the monitor, and no other signs (although starting to spot dishy guys on the train again Wink). I'm away with work next week, so that will probably solve my ttc dilemma for this month anyway! Have started temping this month after last month's confusion, and sure enough I'm waking up at all times of the night and taking my temp! Dh commented on the number of beeps coming from my side of the bed last night. It probably makes it all completely meaningless.

BeattieBow · 06/05/2011 11:28

can't believe I used the word dishy. I sound like my mother aargh.

(also stroked a newborn baby's head today - that means for sure I'll be up the duff soon. ).

hippychick66 · 06/05/2011 13:27

(Hippy whispers) I hope it is good news for you jolls. If you did get preg this month just think about who told you to SWI Wink

(Hippy shouts) House is sold - (subject to contracts of course). Grin

Diege · 06/05/2011 14:17

Shock Hippy that's great news!!!!! Allow yourself a mini-relax now and I'll cook you something special in the bistro tonight Grin
Jolls oh I really hope so!!! Keep us updated as to any sneaky wees (on sticks) Grin
Must rush, boss lurking.

BeattieBow · 06/05/2011 14:32

wow Hippy congratulations!

Now you can start looking for somewhere to live in the IOW!

Can I ask, do you get cold feet about moving? I walked around town today, had coffee with some of the school mums and felt really sad about going, and also really nervous about doing it all again - making the friends, the contacts, and all of that. For us it's iminent (by the end of May probably) and I'm quite scared!

panashe · 06/05/2011 15:04

Hi Beattie , I think having young children makes is so much easier, and you can't help but have to talk to people and make friends. When I was thinking of moving south my youngest was in year 6 and I know that you just don't have the same contact at High school with other parents. Its a big step, but if you have conviction in the reasons why you're moving then everything else will follow naturally.

jolls can't believe you're going to wait until Monday, I'm impressed.

hippychick66 · 06/05/2011 15:05

Bb I am scared yes. And I do think about all the friends I've made over the last 12 years living here. Will be horrid to have to start again but I think this is right for me, Dh and boys and that is the most importnat thing. But to answer your question - I am sh*tting myself a bit about it Grin

You'll be moved before me Mrs!

hippychick66 · 06/05/2011 15:06

sorry I think i did the asterix in the wrong places oops!!!! Grin

panashe · 06/05/2011 15:11

Italian Hope you're not feeling as stressed today x
