massively late but just to say thinking of lou and diege today
will try to catch up later x

hippychick66 · 28/04/2011 09:43

isaboo thanks for the lovely welcome back. Sorry your hubbie is in Boston and you are approaching ovulation time - may I suggest DHL or UPS??? Grin I hope you have a nice ride in the helicopter and that the waterproofs are not needed.

gum you are probably away now but I just wanted to reply to your comment that you hope you can have the same approach to giving up ttc as me. I just wanted to say that I am as surprised as the next person that I am now feeling this way. After my MC's I was determined to keep going and was desperate for another chance. This feeling has been very gradual and I think this last week-end away helped sooo much. The four of us are a good team and there is a lot of love in our family and if this is how it is gonna remain then that really is ok with me (more than ok - bloody lucky actually).

BUT it is not something you can make happen, it just kinda gradually comes over you. Also, don't forget that your MC was more recent than mine so you are in a different place to me. I hope that if you and DH do stop trying to conceive that you feel ok about it and are able to resolve things with your DH.

I am quite fearful that i will get pregnant again and then have another MC and find myself right back at the desperate to be pregnant stage again Confused.

Sending love and hugs to diege and lou. Don't forget that I will be 'virtually' holding your hand and waiting for news back here at base. (can't ride in that helicopter anymore - too cramped!)

jolls would love to hear from you soon. Missing you lovie.

Anyway, check this out my instant baby

TTTwosAWOL · 28/04/2011 09:46

(throws Diege her bottle of emergency essense) I have to be honest, and say I have no idea whether it works or not - I think it's a bit like a bus timetable to be honest - no relationship with reality, but it gives you something to do whilst you're waiting for the bus.

I still have a really good feeling about it Diege - deep breaths, and try not to worry. Baby was doing well at 10 weeks, and the over-whelminng odds are that s/he is fine, and you're going to have a healthy baby. I wonder if you'll get to find out the gender today - at both my 12 weeks scans, they've had a guess - and said it's an 80% chance of a girl...

Just waiting to hear your good news too Lou

Hippy and Gum any chance you could swap husbands? Sorry - if that is crass (sick sense of humour overload) ;-) It's just you have opposite spectrum problems. Someone further up said, can't remember who now, that stopping ttc should be as shared a decision - and that just struck me as so wise.

Can't understand all the fuss about this blinking wedding... we're not even invited... well I'm not anyway.....

hippychick66 · 28/04/2011 10:03

I don't mind swapping for a while if I get to live in Oz near that beach Grin

I was quite surprised when DH said he wants to give it a bit longer. I suppose I'm pleased too, would be very weird to not have to report to you guys about my BiscuitBiscuits. Will see what GP says on Tuesday.

tank loved the comment about the bus timetable - very funny and very true. Much love to your little girly in there.

BeattieBow · 28/04/2011 10:11

Hi all, just to say good luck to diege and lou for today.

I am here, but too depressed to post really. Having a massive massive horrible period that arrived on day 20. still going strong 5 days later. Won't give too much info, but it's hideous. Phoned up my expensive clinic and they said it is a side effect of clomid sometimes (beware hippy) but am slightly worried, and keep worrying about an ectopic pregnancy.

in other news looks as though dh is being sacked today - huge dispute at work, and he has taken legal advice, so may end up with some kind of compromise agreement. But seems he will either be a sahd or looking for a new job in London (he had started that process anyway and has an interview already for next week). Can't decide what that does to our London plans. At the moment I just feel angry with him as this problem has been brewing for a while and he didn't sort it out. His bosses are being bastards though.

we have put a holding deposit down on a flat and are meant to be signing the Lease on Tuesday. On the one hand it means we have to move to London (can't have 2 parents commuting for 4 hours a day!) but on the other, perhaps dh should be a sahd and I should commute on my own. anyway, puts ttc on the back burner for a while.

Sorry to put a dampner on everything.

Oh an congrats shandy fantastic news!

TinaO99 · 28/04/2011 10:33

good luck for the scan diege :-)

hippychick66 · 28/04/2011 10:38

((((BB)))) All sounds totally shit. So sorry you're having such a bad time. Thinking of you. XX ps. thanks for the warning about clomide - will google.

BeattieBow · 28/04/2011 11:03

well I'm pleased I'm working. If you remember I had a huge wobble last year and nearly (or did) handed my notice in. Glad I stayed put as we do have one income at least. Not good though.

hippychick66 · 28/04/2011 11:11

I hope it all sorts itself out and you are able to make a decision about the move etc. All very stresseful I know, and not helped by a whopping great period barging in on day 20 Sad.

I wish lou and diege would hurry up and have their scans.

Diege · 28/04/2011 11:44

Hello, still here! Decided to accompany dh on a trip to IKEA as a distration from scan, and it's worked pretty well. Will be leaving pretty soon as want to do some shopping in town before getting the bus up to the hossie.
Hippy you can damn well squeeze in the the copter, or failing that lie flat on the roof? If we can fit what we've just fitted in to the back of the car, then you can squeeze up Grin
TTT I know you're so right, I am in a more fortunate position that many in that I've had 2 previous good scans, so have at least a good idea that's there's something alive in there (I have also been feeling some tiny movements these last few weeks, as I did with ds - v.good as my placenta is anterior again too). I think I just have to accept I will be a bag of nerves, not get to the dept too early (never good) and focus on my breathing etc.
I'm sure we will hear of Lou's news soon - I think she said she was working till 7 so may be posting late.
BB that's pretty crap about you dh's job, and I can see the dilemma it leaves you in. I think I'd be tempted to carry on with the London plans personally, esp as dh may be at home for a while - plus he may well get the job he's applied for?
Hi Tina, thanks for the good wishes!
Back later with my news !

hippychick66 · 28/04/2011 12:09

Thinking of you diege - ok - seeing as you asked so nicely I will come in the copter Grin Good luck, matey.

louisesh · 28/04/2011 15:58

Hi :quick post from work.
Scan good baby measuring 13 weeks took some time as trainee songrapher saw heartbeat straight away got me to lay on my sides for measurements but due to anterior placenta had trouble but could see 2 arms,legs..head and big tummy. All looks good GBOS had their hand on top of her/his head!!!! ARH!!!!!
Next scan booked for 3 weeks today at 15 wks 6 days.

hippychick66 · 28/04/2011 16:14

and breath........ phew. Fab news lou. You'll get there, my love. Grin

By the time you have your next scan you'll only have 21 weeks to go!!! Did you have a nuchal or anything fancy like that??

Right .... where is diege??????

Diege · 28/04/2011 18:55

Diege is here!!! I missed the copter ride back and had to get one of TTT's buses...
All fine with the scan..phew!!!!!!!!!!!!! Measuring 12 + 6, which is consistent with my 10 week scan, so they've brought my due date forward 5 days to 4th November (meaning it will be a October baby as all my dcs have been 5-6 days early). Everything looked fine, baby active, flipping about. As she was bringing me my pictures I broached the issue of the nuchal fold and she said that she did have a look and it 'looked fine', so that's good enough for me!
So relieved - I felt so ill waiting, and was violently sick after - hopefully just due to the stress! So next scan not till 19 weeks now (16th June I think). I have celebrated by buying a few bits of maternity stuff from H&M, and may push the boat out and get some Isabella Oliver too Grin
Lou great news on your scan too! We may well end up with similar birth dates - plus I have an antefrior placenta too!
Going to see if I can manage a bowl of baked beans now - no more pizza.

Isaboo · 28/04/2011 19:04

Hippy DHL Shock ...great idea I will call him right after this post

Lou great news ...love the big tummy bit chubba bubbas are the best !

Deige looking forward to hearing from you

BB I had a similar thing at xmas short 21 day cycle with one of those AFs that are noticeably grim and 9 days long at the end ...thing was mine was preceded by a normal cycle that had no temp rise (I was still temping then) and a ridiculously light 1 day AF at the end. I came to the conclusion that my body forgot to O the first month and then realised in a rather flustered middle-aged sort of way and tried to make up for it by Oing miles to early on day 7 (I had some mild O symptoms which I dismissed as fantasy after the very short AF ) and ending up with effectively a double AF ....I know thats all a bit unscientific but thats how I felt anyway point of the story is all went back to normal next cycle so hang in there. Sorry things are rough at the moment troubles do always seem to come in a herd ..hope your weekend is good

I am so far gone i am digging my wedding veil out to wear for a party tomorrow ....[cblush]

Isaboo · 28/04/2011 19:10

oops Xpost DEIGE FANTASTIC I was starting to worry....chubba bubbas all round then off to enjoy my weekend now ......

TTTwosAWOL · 28/04/2011 19:47

{{ BB }} Big hug - world seems bleak today, but hopefully things will pan out better soon xx

Of course, I knew all about Diege - it's a tank Darlin', not a bus!! But just wanted to say how pleased I am for you . Can I say I told you so now? And big congradulatory hugs to lou too.... 16th June is Catherine's b'day, so i wont' forget your next scan date Diege

I turned 30 weeks yesterday - feel quite good about that - had an antenatal today and Fidget has blinking turned round, and is breech - after being the right way up (or the wrong way) depending on how you look at it, at 28 weeks. Never mind plenty of time.....

Hugs to all xx

BeattieBow · 28/04/2011 19:54

diege phew! very pleased for you.

Isaboo my last period was very light, and I have no idea when/if I ov'ed this month because I was on hols and wasn't testing or temping. But it isn't nice atm!

dh didn't quite get sacked yet - waiting to see a compromise agreement. Hopefully he'll get through the interview on Tuesday and be very impressive. I am not going to start thinking of worse case scenario yet (i.e him out of work, although that's not worst case case as that would be both of us out of work, so things could be much more grim). (see I live up to my former name Wink)

hippychick66 · 28/04/2011 20:12

BB - I have no idea what your former name was Confused - clues please Smile. Good luck to your DH for Tuesday - tell him not to waffle - oh no that's my DH!!!

diege whoop whoop. Really pleased for you. Nuchal fold looks good, that's fab. Now relax and enjoy a big jug of gravy!!!

tank sorry to hear 'Fidget' has turned around, hope she turns back soon.

randomimposter · 28/04/2011 20:15

am very emotional reading such great news about lou and diege and such brilliant scans, and also that the lovely viv from the MC thread has finally had her first baby tonight... :)

Have to go and blow nose and stop snivelling

Will come back when less teary x

hippychick66 · 28/04/2011 20:46

Good news about viv - I know she's from the MC thread so she has had some heartache. Yes all the scan news is fab and I am only a little teeny weeny bit Envy. You soon jolls Grin

louisesh · 28/04/2011 21:18

Arh bless Viv how lovely....
Diege we ve got same edd mine's 4th Nov also but obviously it'll be around 14th October.
TTT excellant news from you too XXXX
Hippy thanks XXX I m not having the nuchal fold as i didn t with Georgie and its not a definate risk only a percentage plus i wouldn t terminate if a problem.
Thanks Isaboo X
hI Jolls nice to see you X
Knacked now busy at work...will sleep tonight.
Hi to all hope everyone's well? XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

AlbaDeTamble · 28/04/2011 21:43
Diege · 28/04/2011 22:18

Many thanks for all your congrats! I will sleep well tonight too Lou after the stress of last night! Funny how we've ended up with the same due dates!
TTT, all my dcs turned from head down to breach at 30 weeks, then transverse by 35 weeks. Head down for the dds by 37 weeks, apart from ds who was sort of wedged in a diagonal position and never enagaged, even in labour. Don't stress about it (if you are); it's totally normal Smile. Oh and yes, you can say 'I told you so' Wink
Hippy don't you dare mention the 'g' word ever again - I had to wash out a congealed pan of the stuff just now and I swear I will never touch the stuff again. I really home my sickness stops soon as I've started bringing up blood. Not too worried as been there before in 3 of 4 pregnancies, and know it's just small tears to my osophegus (sp?). The glammar of it all!
Off to play lip service to the kitchen, and then bed.

Italiangreyhound · 29/04/2011 01:09

Lou wow fab, so pleased.

Diege fab super.

You know I am so excited about these babies!

BB so sorry to hear about your hubby?s job. Hope it will all get resolved.

Isaboo no news yet, I am hopeful for May. Just want it to all be over with now! Oh, tiara yes I may well wear mine tomorrow.

Jolls hi mate. How are you?

alba lovely to hear from you, any news from you Alba?

Diege wow love it - 'Smash the Monarchy' - 'But let's have a look at that lovely dress first'. I am not a Royalist particularly but I like history and I think by drinking Carva and eating smoked salmon with my friend (and watching the Royal wedding) I am part of history. I also requested tickets for the Olympics (and I am NOT sporty) but again if we them we shall be part of history. We have requested the £20 tickets for three things and will (if we are successful) probably be watching the Olympics form the back row (possibly in Neasden!).

Oh Hippy that baby doll is cute, but I think my dd would end up drawing on its cute little face!

Just watching a very sad programme about misbehaving mums to be.
www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b010h79q

Don?t want to be a real alarmist but my friend has just been diagnosed with breast cancer and another friend of a friend is suffering with it so please ladies check your boobs. Please do that if you have tingling and odd feeling boobs (which you all seem to!) just to be on the safe side. Safety commercial over!

[cgrin] enjoy the day.
