Here is part II of our intrepid journey through the minefield that is TTC post MC. You can find part I on this thread.

OP posts:
yellowtomato · 27/05/2011 13:50

Thanks wombat but when i say no symptoms I mean no pg symptoms, I do have af rumblings but I am ignoring that compelling evidence if af's immanent arrival. Hopes will be dashed by the end of the day, you mark my words!

Star82 · 27/05/2011 14:24

Haha and same to you Wombat. I had forgotton all about how envious i am of the perks of your living in the sun Grin!!! Yes will keep to myself then.....unless i feel the need to piss him off!!! To be honest though he's the most non-jealous person ever. I'd have to have my tongue down another man's throat before he turned green but he'd then go red and divorce me!!!

Anyway, there is something else that DH doesn't know yet and i'm only sharing with you guys because you're all clearly not real and just figments of my imagination!
Well, im day 29 today (i think) and randomly got an urge to POAS. I got a positive.....i think. Not as dark as control line but defo a clear red line. DH gone on stag do tonight so not said anything and also don't want to get his hopes up if this doesn't work out again. Additionally, i threw into convo this morning that if i got pregnant on holiday, would he let me ride the rides and he said no :(. Last time i missed out on Alton Towers because i was pregnant so spent the day just wandering around but then i misscarried anyway. Part of me thinks if it's a healthy viable pregnancy it will stick and if not, then we'll lose it anyway. So i'm considering not telling him till after we've done all the big rides. Also, i am still getting a bit of yellow in my CM today. I had a bleed (red blood) on one occasion last week then i've had a bit of brown discharge on and off since. I'm wondering if this has what has been happening the last few months, that i'm getting pregnant then having a period of a week or so of this discharge, then i'm losing the baby the week after which is why my cycles have been 33 days and 38 ish last month. Maybe it's been that early a misscarriage that i've not realised i'm pregnant. Ooooh, not sure what to do for the best now :(.

Star82 · 27/05/2011 14:26

I have taken a pic on my iphone of the stick as evidence for the docs in case this goes wrong. Wonder if i can upload it onto mumsnet and show you girls? I'm not very techy Blush

Wormshuffler · 27/05/2011 16:31

ooooooooh star thats sounds interesting! When do you go to florida?? If you are indeed PG [hopeful emocion] I personally think the same as you about the risks, but having said that I did only go on the big rides once and then ducked out, as there was a nagging doubt in the back of my head. Also I felt VERY sick on some of them!!
It is possible that you could have had a situation where a "would be bean" hasn't implanted in your previous periods.....I think they call them chemical pregnancys? This is what I reckon I had while I was in florida spookily enough.... i had lots of symptoms too though, have you been having symptoms?
It's a shame its friday tea time and a bank holiday as you could have gone to docs and asked for hcg blood tests to be done, this would see if they are rising and should the situation arise that it is not implanting the doc would have the evidence to be able to look into it. Did you do PG tests in the previous months?
Re telling DH I personally wouldn't if you are planning on going on the rides, should AF not turn up you could do one while you are there? halfway through or something?
xx

Wormshuffler · 27/05/2011 17:47

Forgot to say.........I have everything crossed !!!!!!! and I totally issed you being late too yellow could this be another one of those weeks???? please please

Star82 · 27/05/2011 19:17

We travel to Gatwick on Monday and fly on Tuesday. I say i'm going to go on things and not tell DH but when i get there, it might be another thing. I'll see. I may get a digital one that tells you how far along you are and then take two of those a week or so apart to see if it changes. I did have EWCM on day 14 or 15 and we DTD about 4 times over the next 6 days. I just thought it was too early to ovulate with my cycles being mad. If that is right, it would put me at 3 1/2 weeks now. I've never had sickness or anything like that so i'm more or less symptomless. My boobs get huge but not this early, more like week 6 or so. I'm taking our laptop away with us as we have a villa so will keep you updated. No more Wine for me for now at least.

Has AF showed up Yellow or are you still in limbo?

emmaandthestar · 27/05/2011 20:22

Star I remember reading your post about the lifeguard!! - I may have still been a lurker when you posted it! I would keep it under your hat for now...
Fingers crossed though for the +ve tho.

Hmm, well CM has all but vanished, I was getting the odd bit of creamy CM (sorry - TMI post) but I think I may be tempted to test at the weekend if AF still hasn't shown up - last cycle was 31 days and 27 prior to that, I am on 27 now and the mentalling is bad

Yellow lets hope we are both on track - that would be great - I have everything crossed for you

I am signed up for a work/corporate run in July and I was hoping I could just turn up for the food and (soft drinks after) or make the excuse and jog round :)

yellowtomato · 27/05/2011 23:09

No af so far but please don't add to the mental. Am at the end of day 29 but have had a 31 cycle recently. Have no pg symptoms at all but hopes right up so be prepared for a massive down. Have had af cramps on and off for days which as wombat says is normal for me. I kind of wish af would come and put me out of my misery, I am so crampy.

Sorry for me me me, feeling hysterical. Good luck star!

yellowtomato · 27/05/2011 23:14

Sorry Emma, meant to say fingers, legs and toes crossed for you. I really know how you feel, please keep me posted.

Love to you all x

wombatinwaiting · 28/05/2011 07:54

Morning ladies - what a lot of expectation for us all for emma, star and yellow - I don't believe I could have anything crossed any tighter for you - hoping and hoping that you get the good news you're looking for and sending loads and loads of pg vibes your way.

I do believe the same as you star that a few rides aren't going to make any difference and if it's going to stick, it's going to stick. It's really your call. I'm sorry you're in such limbo over your long-awaited holiday... do keep us posted.

Good to hear you are signed up for the corporate run emma - I'm sure that will mean a bfp! Smile.

Any overnight update yellow? Hope not and that that you're not feeling too hysterical....

On tenderhooks!

wombatinwaiting · 28/05/2011 07:59

Ooh - I think you're moving this weekendharassed so hope all goes well.

Have just realised you lot have another bank holiday this weekend so enjoy!!

OP posts:
yellowtomato · 28/05/2011 09:09

Nothing overnight. Still feeling crampy though so keep expecting af any minute. So this day 30 but I've just been checking my cycle lenghths so far this year and it looks like I should be on for a 31 day one this month. Since Jan it has been 31, 27, 25, 31, 23 so...........if the pattern is a shorter month followed by a longer one then I def shouldn't be getting excited yet.

God I hate this part of the 2ww, really messes with my head.

Are you going to test Emma? I don't think I will, I can't face it as per the stats above it is a bit early to be getting excited.........

Where's sparkly with a fish slap when you need her?

wellieboots · 28/05/2011 09:11

Oooh, very exciting around here - lots of anticipation for emma, star and yellow!!!!
Keeping everything crossed for all of you! (It will also distract me from my own 2ww, which is still in full swing and will be for a while yet!:))

Hope everyone else is doing OK - pecka hope you are feeling better and wombat and sparkly hope all is well and marathon hope all have a great weekend - ANOTHER LONG ONE!!! I must come back to the UK!

wombatinwaiting · 28/05/2011 09:59

What CD are you on now then wellie?

Good that af is still to appear yellow - and according to your stats above, you're due for a shorter cycle as it's been one long, 2 short, 1 long, 1 short and 1 who knows yet..... trying not to get your or anyone else's hopes up but still keeping everything crossed.

OP posts:
emmaandthestar · 28/05/2011 14:04

I am busy trying to look at new sofa's online but keep going to OV calenders to check... I did buy a pack of 3 tests - they can see me coming can't they £12!!!

Yey for the long weekend but why is it so cold - yuk - I want to be out in the garden planting things not curled up on the sofa with a blanket...

I will update you if I test although no symptoms and am getting increasingly grumpy so AF may well be round the corner :)

What day are you on Wellie?

Waves to all
x

MarathonMama · 28/05/2011 17:46

Hi ladies, looks like there's some exciting news! Congrats Star!!! Have a fab trip and try not to think about it too much.

Good luck to the rest of you too.

My erpc was two weeks yesterday and I'm now trying to swot up on all the ttc lingo so that I'm ready for my next cycle. I've never really looked into it before and hadn't heard of EWCD (is that the right acronym??) until now but will be on the watch from now on.

Out of interest, how many of you had a longer cycle post erpc?

Sparklywine · 28/05/2011 19:12

Egg white cervical drippage, that's right Marathon lovely

Oh, ok, it's mucus. Embarassing weird creamy mucus.
Ooh, erm, should actually answer one of your questions properly - about 6 weeks after erpc, and then v light, then got back to an average 28-29 days. What the ladies here don't know about pant-watching aint worth knowing, and if you fance a dibble round for your cervix at any point, ask away. For info, it should feel like a rare steak when it's ready to receive (ie your cheek, not your chin, though mine was like a bowling ball so didn't reassure much)
Just spent the night away in Bakewell with the in-laws, nice trip. We were meant to eat somewhere really swanky and impressive on them but I couldn't face it so we ended up in a pub eating pie and mushy peas Grin Am exhausted today, and feeling queasy, so am in pj's and going to have an early night I think.
I won't add to the mentalling, hope af or good news turns up soon Yellow, have some merlot whilst you wait! Star, sounds promising, have you tested again? Good luck with the move Harassed, I hope they have left the bathroom clean for you!
Wombat, someone at work said I looked glowing but it was the new Estee Lauder foundation, it's well worth the extra money. I don't care what they say but Maybelline can't be as good, can it?
I watched that sit-com with Hugh thingy last night, families look fun! Hope mine have curly hair, I have no basis for expecting this but am feeling vacuous and superficial, and it seems fitting for a Monty. Wormy, glad you are being sick, those barbours just wipe down don't they? Grin

Hi to everyone else, Star lovely to have you back in the fold x

yellowtomato · 28/05/2011 21:10

Hello sparkly thanks for the advice, I am drinking some lovely wine right now. Still no news, have sharp pains and cramping which feel very much like af but it is hard to keep hope in check. My body is seriously messing with me. :(
marathon the 'egg white' part (for me anyway) is a very noticeable discharge that looks like egg White. I usually ov 2 days after this. I found temping useful too but you do need to do it very much at the same time each day.

Right I'm off to drink more wine!

Star82 · 28/05/2011 22:59

Haha....emma you little lurker you Grin. I think Wombat is right and sods law says you will catch now you've signed up for this run!!! Thanks for the crossed fingers too Wombat and Wellie. What day are you on currently Wellie?

Thinking of you yellow and the emotional rollercoaster you're on. Are you gonna plunge and test at the weekend?

Marathon, i was regular as clockwork at 28 days before the ERPC. It took 14 weeks for me to bleed after the op and the cycles have been about 33 and 38 days in the ones i've been able to track. It's been hard to pinpoint day 1 and the last day as i often am getting brown/yellow discharge on and off for up to a week before i'm heavy, red blood, bleeding if you get me? i thought i must have been missing ov as with the longer cycles, i wouldn't be ov till more like day 22ish possibly. This last cycle i actually noticed a sudden gush of EWCM (never took much notice of when i got this before) on day 14/15. I assumed it was random and not OV as was too early given the previous cycles. However, DH got back from work one afternoon feeling a bit horny so to cut a long story short we ended up locked in the upstairs bathroom ( so DD couldn't walk in) and did a bit over the bath Blush. DH joked how funny it would be if that little quickie ended up being the one we conceived with, haha!! It quite possibly could be Wink.

Oooh, Sparkly i like Bakewell and that area (Buxton, Matlock etc). Glad you enjoyed your pub meal Grin. Yum, yum!!! I've been trying to be so good as by Jan this year, i had realised i'd put on nearly a stone since June last year Shock!! Went back to the gym in Feb and it's slowly come off. Now just a pound or 2 off from what i was last year....hurrah!! Think the holiday has given me some 'focus'!!

In answer to you question aswell Sparkly, yes, i was v naughty and went out and bough Clearblue conception indicator 2 pack today. Sat in the toilets this afternoon in the shopping mall and peed. It said Pregnant 1-2, so that makes it 2-3 weeks :). Im tempted to pee on the other in the morning incase the more concentrated urine pushes me a long a week but i know this is silly so am trying to hold out till the morning we fly (Tues). Not told DH yet. Feeling very, very naughty indeed but feel also like i don't want to get his hopes up as he didn't deal with it very well last time.

Laters Grin

Star82 · 28/05/2011 23:01

brought ....i can spell really. Blaming the computer Blush

yellowtomato · 28/05/2011 23:27

star that is great news that another test was positive. I am not going to test until at least tues. Realistically I think af will arrive tomorrow but still hoping.

Tomorrow will be a long day.

Night all

wellieboots · 29/05/2011 04:38

OOps - typed a big post and then lost the lot!

Just CD22 here so a while for me to wait yet - for some reason as I mentioned the other day, I am quite obsessive this month and it is going VERY SLOWLY!

(not that it would have anything at all to do with catching up with my wee bro after their news a couple of weeks ago..... Grin)

Sounds good star, have a great holiday!
yellow sorry for the limbo, hope it gets resolved one way or other soon - I absolutely hate the last bit of the 2ww especially cos my first 2 cycles (after WTF) were very long compared to the norm, and one time in particular I was convinced I was updiffed and finally got AF on CD37 or something ridiculous like that! Hugs to you.

Waves to everyone else!

Star82 · 29/05/2011 07:55

Just to say I caved and maybe there was method in my madness Wink!!

Peed again and I got 2-3 weeks since conception so that's 4-5 weeks. It puts conception on DS's birthday :).

nurse47 · 29/05/2011 08:59

Congrats star!!!! Have a fab trip to florida too, waves to everyone, and hopes everyone is doing ok?? Fingers crossed for yellow too!!!! Hi to newbies too!

Wormshuffler · 29/05/2011 09:06

Excellent news star Grin was that the day of the bathroom quicky?? As for the rides to avoid now you are officially in an upduffed state. They are all at universal, there's none to worry about in disney IMO, oh actually mission space has a nice version and a not so........take the nice version! The other one actually has sick bags on the ride!!!!

Jimmy neutron really bounces you around and killed my boobs. I cant remember the name of it but the roller coaster that goes vertically up then straight down at universal, this also throws you about alot. I reckon everything else would be fine. I'm so excited for you, are you doing wet and wild? that was my favorite place, we went there 3 times as it was close to our hotel. If you go to the golden Coral restaurant try the peach cobbler on the dessert bar, it is to die for!

Good idea on the not peeing yet yellow self preservation...... I have absolutely everything crossed for you.

sparkly those kids on that show are hilarious arn't they, they actually improvise alot of it you know! i saw an interview with the boy monty Grin

As for Me, I am having a wobble today, i spent last night stripping woodchip off the ceiling of our hallway, and after a couple of hours my tummy started to hurt. Now today I am not sick this morning, so am mentalling. It's now the lead up to where I MC'd last time am now 7+4, it started to go wrong at 8+1 last time right when my next period was due. Got DD's birthday to keep me busy this week. I has stupidly agreed that she can have a sleepover next weekend but am booting them out to the garden in a tent seven 12 year old's I really am mental arnt I?

Hope you all have a nice bank hol weekend despite the shitty weather predicted
