Ah someone made breakfast excellent !!
No plans for an early scan harassed although if I get past 9 weeks without any bleeding or cramping curiosity may get the better of me!! All the best for your scan tomorrow, I just know with all your nausea you are fine though!! will cross everything for you!

I am off to the GP's in a bit, nothing PG related (i don't think)! but having breathing issues and other weird stuff. Dr google says I have esophagus problems but lets see what the real life one thinks!!

Felt a bit more sick today Grin

wombatinwaiting · 17/05/2011 10:25

Great news on the sickness worm and the breathing etc. could be pregnancy rhinitis, do you think? If so, yay for another symptom! If not, hope all is ok.

You're right yellow - standards are slipping massively - thank you to those supplying breakfast of late!

Will be waiting anxiously for news of harassed's scan tomorrow - really hope that will help you relax a bit.

Any more pukiness sparkly? I hope so, in the nicest possible way of course. Can you remind me of your scan date?

Long day in Qatar yesterday and had to head down to Abu Dhabi this morning so decided rather than go into the office, I would work from home for the rest of the day (oh, plus I will pop and get my eyebrows done later too Grin) - have some leaving drinks tonight but it will actually be a good opportunity to tell colleagues why I'm not drinking. Have meeting with boss tomorrow to tell him and I'm still not quite sure what I'm going to say / what my demands will be - problem is that I want to work part-time for full-time hours, take 2 lots of unpaid leave this summer and finish at end of Sept.... perhaps not that likely!

Waves to all and lays out gourmet salads for lunch.

Sparklywine · 17/05/2011 11:28

Wombat, I like your terms! And your empowering use of the word 'demands', I shall try that with my manager! I quite fancy a little pod in which to express milk and listen to relaxing music, I shall push for that Grin
My 11+6 week scan is 2 weeks today! (31st May), am excited about seeing bubs but trying to 'manage my expectations' (I have just had a management meeting, can you tell? Grin) Got the in-laws over from America this weekend for a fortnight imtermittently, am dreading giving up my sofa space and having to be sociable

Sparklywine · 17/05/2011 11:29

Good luck with your scan tomorrow Harassed, we'll be thinking of you, I'll have a selection of pastries waiting x

yellowtomato · 17/05/2011 21:24

Just a quickie to wish harassed good luck tomorrow. Also good luck to wombat for your work demands!

Work is still very busy but slightly less so which is good. Still some way to go though. Am on the sofa right now though which is good.

Wormshuffler · 18/05/2011 06:38

Morning Everyone
Bacon sarnie anyone? cheese for the veggies!
All the best for today's scan harassed
Intersting demands wombat positive mental attitude is the way to go!
Are your in-laws staying with you sparkly ?? good luck with that! also do they no about your 'predicament' may be hard to hide if they are staying with you!

So I went to the doc's have a chest infection apparently and have anti-biotics. Cue lots of frantic questions about if they are safe in PG and apparently they are! The doctors face was a picture when I said I was "a little bit pregnant" surprised She didn't call in the men in white coats!

wombatinwaiting · 18/05/2011 07:57

Yes please to a bacon sarnie worm - it'll go nicely with the raspberry tart I have just scoffed - greedy? mooi? Grin

I think the boss will be ok as he's a much older man, Australian and of our 700 or so employees, only 80 are female and he really hasn't a clue how to deal with us. If he gets at all difficult, I shall say something about how anxious I am about a repeat of brown cm and see what he has to say to that Grin !! Only told 3 people in the end last night but no doubt the work grapevine will kick into action soon.....

Very best of luck for today's scan harassed - hope you're not mentalling tooooo much - at least it's early in the day.

On one of the names threads sparkly, a few people reckon Monty is going to be a popular one soon so you better get in there quick. Is your DH American then? How glam! Loving the idea of your expressing pod - sneaky naps while you're doing that sounds good!

Sorry to hear about your chest infection worm and hope the anti-b's do the trick. Grin at your "little bit pregnant"!

Glad to hear that work has calmed down a wee bit yellow - have you the sofa back to yourself this weekend? I guess you're on the 2WW now - at least you and DH were both around for ov time! Are you temping still?

Wonder how pecka is getting on with her hols.

Hello to och, wellie and emma - how are you all doing?

xx

harassedinherpants · 18/05/2011 14:56

Just a quick one, on my phone waiting for midwife at birthing centre. Scan was great, all fine.

Be back later.

Sparklywine · 18/05/2011 16:24

Hurrah Harassed, great news!
Noooooo DH is not American, his parents moved over about 10 years ago for work. I expect they will feel the distance now Milky is on the way so I will have to be sensitive, not my most obvious attribute! They are stopping with us in 2-3 night bursts over a fortnight, not too gruesome but I am so lazy worn out at the moment I am panicking slightly about not being able to mooch around in my pj's feeling ill and watching CDWM! Grin I'm sure they'll understand, I'm just not great with visitors I suppose. My sister loves having people over, the more the merrier, bonkers.
I have snuck home early from work today, it's dh's birthday and we are going to grab a pizza and then see Pete Doherty at the Academy. Milky's first gig, cool huh? Must have a nana-nap first thoughGrin

wombatinwaiting · 18/05/2011 17:11

Hurrah harassed - saw your post on the freak-out room too but keen to know how the mw appointment goes.

Oi - sparkly - WAKE UP! you have a gig to go to and a birthday to celebrate! Will you be telling your PIL? I'm sure you'll be fine once they're with you - it's probably just the thought of it.....

Waiting for pizza express delivery - come on!

OP posts:
Wormshuffler · 18/05/2011 17:17

Nice one harassed Grin now chillax!!
How did you get on with the boss wombat
Have a good night *sparkly Pete Doherty hey, try to stay away from the mosh pits and drug corners !!

Nothing to report here felt a bit sick this morning, and weirdly have a wave of nausea straight after I take the anti biotics! Boobs are killing though.

One of My best friends gets married on friday, so now when I tell everyone I am not drinking cause I'm on Anti-biotics at least I won't be lying! Will have one glass for the toast though, don't think it will cause any lasting damage!!

Hi everyone you are all very quiet.........

wombatinwaiting · 18/05/2011 18:29

Oh - forgot to say - meeting postponed until tomorrow morning with boss - will update you then!

Finally - a true story about anti-bs and pg! Grin

OP posts:
wombatinwaiting · 19/05/2011 05:26

Morning ladies - hope you are all well (v quiet on the thread yesterday). I'm doing a feast for breakfast this morning in the hope it will encourage some activity! Eggs anyway you like - hollandaise, scrambled, poached or fried together with grilled tomatoes topped with fresh herbs, mushrooms, baked beans, lincolnshire sausages, grilled bacon rashers and freshly made potatoe rostis (no frozen rubbish at this cafe!) followed by freshly baked Danish pastries - no holds barred this morning Grin

Seeing the boss in 30 mins - wish me luck!

OP posts:
Wormshuffler · 19/05/2011 06:59

Morning, That sounds much more exciting than the shreddies I am currently tucking in to! You should be in with the boss hope it was fruitful wombat

How is everyone?

wombatinwaiting · 19/05/2011 08:25

Well, blow me down with a feather! Seems I am more valued here than I thought..... he agreed to all demands requests and I get the feeling that I may not even have to take a cut in pay but still work part-time hours.... he asked if I was planning to come back and I said probably not but he didn't quite seem to hear this and was offering all sorts of consultancy options - he's quite convinced I'll be bored at home. I said it was certainly something I would consider and thank you for the opportunity but that I couldn't commit to anything at this stage.... so all in all, a pretty good result!

Hope your Thursdays go as well as mine seems to have done so far! Grin

OP posts:
harassedinherpants · 19/05/2011 09:47

Of that's fab Wombat!!! You must be feeling very relieved.....

Worm take you antibiotic bottle with you to wave cheerfully at those people that will give you a know look Grin.

Sparkly how was last night?? Haven't been to the academy in years, feel all nostalgic now!

Yellow don't work too hard!!

All good hear apart from sick and feeling very tearful today, so they'd better be nice to me at work today! I think I'm just tired tbh. Looking forward to the weekend, but it's going to be busy as we're moving the following weekend. I can not wait for a quiet slobbing out weekend!!!

Had mw yesterday and that was all good. She was very helpful and although my next appointment isn't until 16 weeks, she said I can go in before if I want to and to just phone her. She's using the edd from yesterdays scan which brings me forward a couple days to........Boxing Day!

wombatinwaiting · 19/05/2011 13:14

Relieved and pleasantly surprised!

Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit teary today - do you think it's a bit of stress release after your good scan and nice mw yesterday? Fab that you have the reassurance of just phoning her and what a great due date!

OP posts:
wombatinwaiting · 20/05/2011 06:47

Morning all - in honour of it being Friday, it's a help yourself smorgasbord of breakfast delights - dig in!

Not much to report from here other than off shopping for some maternity clothes soon - regular clothes becoming seriously uncomfy.... Ooh - by the way, those of you with a soft cheese craving, Caprice Des Deux (blue box with cherubs on it) is made from pasteurised milk - needless to say I snaffled up a box pretty quick when I read that on the side! Tastes like a cross between camembert and brie and I have just had some for breakfast on a bagel Blush Grin

Waves to all - hope you're all doing well x

Wormshuffler · 20/05/2011 07:09

Cheers wombat
I wish I was too sick to eat it, but alas no, I feel absolutely fine.
I'm now in a 2ww mindset, up until I will be 8 weeks where it all started to go wrong last time, but I do keep trying to tell myself that statisticly there is more chance of hanging onto it than losing it.
Enjoy your shopping trip I have mafe the mistake of looking already and now they are flashing up on all the adverts grrrrrrrrr .......>
Have a nice weekend Ladies, I'm off to a wedding today I am really looking forward to it, but it is going to be stressful! It's one of those where kids arn't invited and as the service is at 3pm its causing Me a logistical nightmare with arranging for 2 kids at different schools to be picked up, looked after, fed and changed ready for the night do......

harassedinherpants · 20/05/2011 10:46

Yum, food!!

I have the opposite problem to Worm, I'm too sick not to eat! The only way to keep the vomming at bay is to eat constantly..... Luckily it's mainly chopped fruit, but there is the odd bag of Monster Munch. Also had some Ambrosia Rice Pudding, it did indeed taste like the proverbial ambrosia. And last night I munched on a couple of cheese straws dunked in Marmite. I need this to stop..... I'm going to be the size of a house soon! I hate my tummy, it looks horrid from putting on comfort eating weight after the mc's, but is a tad swollen too. Def starting to look a bit preg, but then it is number 4 so I think it's to be expected.....

Wombat enjoy your shopping!! The offer of posting on to you stands, I pm you my email.

Worm you're braver than me, I daren't look! I need some bump bands though, so will order those. Enjoy the wedding, I'm sure the hassle will be worth it. Pack tissues, I practically leak at anything these days!

Where is everyone else?? Hope you're all ok and onto the pre-weekend calm down.

emmaandthestar · 20/05/2011 20:01

Hello, just a quick check in - see everyone is getting symtoms and good scans...
I am on CD 20 SWI now finished but I think we managed quite a bit of action!!
2ww prodding boobs etc to see if there are any symptoms!

Hope everyone is well

wombatinwaiting · 21/05/2011 06:39

lovely to hear from you emma and good going with the SWI - we will be expecting an update in about 8 days time if not before! (not that I'm harassing you or anything you understand....!)

What baby wants, baby gets harassed! I do have the same problem with you about having to eat to stop feeling sick - vegemite on white toast does the trick for me everytime! I had to giggle when you said to worm to pack tissues due to leakage - I automatically assumed you meant down below leakage Blush before I realised you meant tears!

How was the wedding worm and did you manage to sort out DC pick-ups etc? Did anyone raise an eyebrow at the antibiotics? Do they seem to have sorted out your chest infection?

When is pecka back and where did she go? She's supposed to be returning smut-free but I don't think we'll let her, will we?! Grin

How are you feeling sparkly and did you enjoy DH bday? When do the PIL arrive?

And yellow - any early signs yet? Hope you are enjoying a visitor-free weekend!

Not heard from wellie for a while - hope all is going well for you. And och - where are you hiding these days - any signs of AF? Hope you're ok x

Got one pair of work trousers with the big stretchy elastic bit at the front yesterday but everything else maternity just made me look huuuuuuge. Planning to go back again today and just get some normal tunic tops etc. as also thought a lot of the stuff looked really frumpy....

Wormshuffler · 21/05/2011 07:32

Morning Everyone
We had a lovely day yesterday and I actually felf sick for alot of it! So many tears, I started as soon as we sat down! and then.............and 140am a threw up! I don't know if it was PG related or a bit of dodgy quiche mixed with Anti-biotics and b vitamins straight before bed, but My goodness I was cursing myself for wishing the sickness on!

Not brave looking at maternity stuff harassed actually more like stupid! not to worry now though as I now have boring bbq's flashing up on the pop up's instead! Don't worry too much about the weight harassed, I'm sure when your little one is here and you have 2 to run around after as well as your older ones to stress over, it will soon fall off!

Very nice to hear from you emma and congratulations on your efforts!

Bump bands look like the way to go! they look fab, I wish they had been around when I had My DC's such a simple idea too!

Have a lovely weekend all x

wellieboots · 21/05/2011 09:30

hi,
i'm still here :)
SWI is starting with a vengeance this weekend, so will keep you posted!

Yay for all the happy news around here, it rubs off on me!! Grin for harassed's scan, worm's ms (in the nicest sense possible!) and wombat's purchasing of maternity clothes!!
Good show on the SWI emma :)

Hope pecka is enjoying her holiday, where is yellow - working too hard, I expect! Hope you are doing ok sparkly and ochaye

Waves!

yellowtomato · 21/05/2011 10:13

hello everyone!

Yes I have been working a lot and I daren't use MN on my work pc because my boss uses my laptop sometimes when we are in meetings and I dread that the 'clever' browser suggests this as a website. I think the 'in private' browsing option has been disabled as well. So i'm stuck with using my phone or waiting until I can have a moment on my laptop at home which is not very satisfactory at all. I keep an eye on you all with my phone but it takes me soooo long to type out a message on there.

It is a really beautiful day here, I am going to Pilates in a minute cos my back is hurting a bit from carrying such a heavy laptop around all the time. I saw my acu on Thurs so he did half the time on my back and the other half as usual. But the back part was soooo relaxing and really made my muscles feel so much better. i almost fell asleep!

I am in week 2 of the 2ww and have nothing to report. We did it at the right time but the bare minimum really. So am not really optimistic but will try to do better next month. Sounds like emma and pecka are really top of the class when it comes to SWI.

Big waves to all you pg girls, glad that scans/sickness/bumps/discussions with bosses are all progressing well.

I am really very tired so am going to keep my work phone off this weekend and try to relax. Mind you I am quite behind on some work things so will probably have to do a few hours on Sunday. Boo!

Ok, so I'm gonna go and get ready for my class. Hope you all have relaxing weekends.
