Hi all. Am hiding in a meeting room at work, sooooooooooo tired I booked one without windows so could have a little lie-down and am mnetting on my phone :-)
No good advice from me I'm afraid re early scans. I ended up having 3 scans before my 13 week one and although there were a couple of minutes of relief when we saw the hb I couldn't get excited and would literally feel back to square one as soon as we'd left the room so I am glad I didn't have to pay for any of them. Was still an absolute wreck in waiting room before 13 week scan and am now building up to 20 week one (2 weeks and counting....) I don't expect I'll be able to relax until I can feel it moving properly. But I think everyone gets through pg post mc their own way.
Sorry, can't get back to previous page but shocked at the therapist who suggested trapped nerves might be to blame for mc, not sure what I would have said to that.
Anyway, going to try and close my eyes again for a bit, take care all x

Sparklywine · 14/04/2011 14:05

Righto, three ladies voting for the scan so that's £30 apiece, so kind Grin
Manamana, I'm picturing you furtively hunched in a darkened room, frantically typing. You sound very tense, I hope a little lie down works for you. Can I whizz a hug and half a donut your way?
Nkay, I'm going to do it. Harassed, love the stats. I'll try and book in for 9 weeks, so if it's good news I'm more than 98% there, if not then I've saved a month of 'mentalling'.
Pecka, all of my chins are up! Grin

Harassed, an aga? Thought that was more Worm's territory! Grin
No news from Yellow, perhaps she is having problems with her submersible spy car....

Wormshuffler · 14/04/2011 18:21

Oiii!! Why is an aga my territory???? I do not have an Aga and will post a picture to prove it!!! I am going to suss it out...............

Wormshuffler · 14/04/2011 18:33

I have done it, click on my name to see my Aga-less kitchen!!
Sparkly I think you should have a scan too! The whole being pregnant is a real worry and to be honest even once you have a healthy child you will still never stop fretting about it!!
Hi manamamma good to see you here again, and skiving off work to sleep and mumsnet!
Hope the veiwing goes well harassed have you got to sell your current home? as that is a nightmare!
I am also really excited about the royal wedding, I found myself feeling bad for the bride as she won't get to do all the fun planning that goes along with a wedding as it will all be done for them.... I wish we were having a street party, I suppose it is probably too late to organise now..... I could do a garden party though ...........

manamana · 14/04/2011 20:13

Thanks sparkly, yes v tense - not good is it. But, I have 2 episodes of master chef saved up for tonight so a bit of shouting at Jackie should sort me out! Thanks for the hug and half doughnut, it's good to share ;-) x

ochaye · 14/04/2011 20:59

I hope you're feeling a bit better tonight manamana (wow - that's tricky to type!).

Loving your kitchen photos worm. At first I thought you had TWO kitchens ... then read your comment. D'oh!

Any donuts left? Although I really shouldn't. I'm trying to shed a few pounds. I'm terrible for gaining pounds in early pregnancy which is always very disappointing when I mc.

Sparkly - I think it's perfectly normal to want an early scan and I think the consensus on here shows that. It's not for me now although in my first 2 pregnancies I would have bitten the midwifes hand off for one. I can't understand why my views have changed so much, but when I went to see the midwife this week she was talking about the possibility of an early scan next time round and it filled me with dread.

harassedinherpants · 14/04/2011 21:03

I don't have an aga! Christ we would all have starved haha..... have a range cooker, one of those wide ones.

House was awful! Actually it wasn't a house, it was a rabbit hutch, there wasn't room to swing my small kitten. Mildew everywhere!! Which apparently will be fixed when they put in new insulation and get a new boiler it Hmm. It was everywhere...... gross! And apparently the landlord is a nightmare to get anything done. So it's a big fat no!

Mana the thought of you hiding in a meeting room made me Grin, wish we had one like that!!!

Sparkly stats are good aren't they?! I just need to get that flaming far.......

I've just put misbehaving mums on so I can shout at the stupid flaming bints!!!

pecka33 · 14/04/2011 21:11

harrassed, im watching it too, stupid cows!!!! It makes me so angry that they cant put there baby first.... Terrible.

ochaye · 14/04/2011 21:16

What on earth? Sounds hideous!

harassedinherpants · 14/04/2011 21:16

Thing is, they won't realise what they've got until they're in our shoes.

Stupid cows sums it up Grin!!

Wormshuffler · 15/04/2011 06:57

Ahhh it's the weekend for our wombat so she will be laying in........... breakfast is now served Girls......... I'm in the mood for croissants and nutella, but will put out all the fancy stuff that you lot like too Grin
What is misbehavin Mums? I think I need to search out? or maybe it sounds like it would Pee me off...
We are all off bowling today, which will be fun! Have a good weekend Girls.

wombatinwaiting · 15/04/2011 07:08

You're up early worm - thanks for taking care of breakfast. We just had smoked salmon and creamcheese bagels in RL but I could easily snaffle a croissant as well! I luuuuurve your kitchen too - did you do it yourself? I will have to try and get clever and upload some pics of the animals.... our kitchen is not worth taking a photo of! I notice that you didn't tell me when your next run is planned - come on worm, you can't escape my spreadsheet that easily!

Loving the sound of misbehaving mums - I hope we get it here at some point.

Sorry that the house wasn't up to anything harassed - are you renting or buying? What a pain in the arse it is.....

Sorry to hear that you're so tense and tired mana - I assume work know? Could you get any time off? Lovely to hear from you anyway.

Yay for early sparklyscan - let us know when it's all booked up

Oh and in the latest installment of my weird dreams, last night's dream was about a big faffing around exercise to actually get the scan done (although I had snuck in early and performed dildocam by myself Confused Blush Hmm ) and then when the "proper" results came through, my ob/gyn wasn't available to talk me through them and it ended up being the MD and CFO at work and their wives talking me through them...! They were being all factual and couldn't understand at all why I was still upset that there was a 10% chance of mc and thought I was completely over-reacting.... it was weird! DH thinks I'm totally bonkers and I tend to agree with him Grin

Waves to ochaye, yellow, pecka, emma, wellie - hope you're all doing ok.
xx

OP posts:
harassedinherpants · 15/04/2011 08:59

Worm mmm love croissants, but I'll have butter and rhubarb jam on mine please Grin. Enjoy your bowling!

Wombat loving your weird dreams!! Hormones are wonderful things Grin, mine start weird and by the time dd was due I daren't shut my eyes for all the weird, freaky, bloody dreams!!!! My dh on the other hand has weird dreams all time.....

We're renting, unfortunately. We sold up 3 years ago just before property crashed. For two reasons: firstly was to safeguard our money (tucked away safely!) and secondly was because we were worried about dh's work as was self employed. It actually turns out we would have been ok, but it's been the right thing for us I think. So we've decided to rent again for a few more years at least. Hopefully have another baby and get that to school-ish age then buy. That's the plan anyway.....my body permitting!

Anyway, I'm slightly freaking out here as I've felt sick the last two mornings and been having weird dreams. But, I've had this before and af has arrived, or it could just be stress right? Weird, but I hope af does arrive as I'm not sure I could cope with a bfp at the moment. Well I could cope with the bfp, but what if I mc again?! I flipping hate this ttc after mc craaaap...

Sparklywine · 15/04/2011 09:11

Worm, you made me giggle. The indignation! You know we're all picturing you with a range rover, a barbour and hunter wellies now. Very To The Manor Born. I love your kitchen, let's see some more of your house, and don't miss out the grounds will you! Grin
Manamana, I love Masterchef too! DH hates Jackie with a passion, I thought she'd have been out when she bombed in the veggie episode but no. The pressure is really taking it's toll on her skin . None of them are that impressive are they, Tim to win as he's a bit bonkers. Are you watching Great British Menu? Love that too, so comforting. When I was off work with my mc I just watched back to back Grand Designs, now the tinkly B&Q commercial before all the house programmes is strangely nurturing Grin
Will book scan today. Bit worried about no sypmtoms apart from a dull ache below (normal, those with little ones?). Thought I'd be queasy with sore nips. Nowt. Wombat, any symptoms? I do feel a bit fatter but that's probably the donuts Grin

Sparklywine · 15/04/2011 09:16

Harassed, cross-posted. Before Wombat asks, when is af due? Symptoms sound interesting, I hesitate to say promising as the body can play tricks. I dreamt I was a lesbian the other night by the way, very satisfying Grin

harassedinherpants · 15/04/2011 09:29

Sparkly everyone's different lovely, I know it's hard! My friend who's due at the same I would have been with the first one had no symptoms when I did, and she's just fine and 20-ish weeks now. Also Collie on the updiffed thread, we were due at same time with my 2nd one, she was very worried as she had no symptoms but now has awful ms!

Cd28 on Tuesday, so due around then (I'm sure Wombat knows haha). Normal cycle is 28-32 days but who knows this month! I have one cheapie test so will do that on Monday as seeing the kinesiologist. Had a good cry on dh's shoulder this morning....sodding hormones!

wombatinwaiting · 15/04/2011 11:03

Interesting symptoms harassed - can fully understand your up and down-ness about wanting / not wanting a bfp..... hope your DH's shoulder has dried up.....

I have boobage growth and slightly tender nips. I have had the ocassional bout of nausea that seems to go away when I eat hence I am eating like a horse. Also, bad, bad bloat and constipation - almost felt like taking out a billboard ad this morning when I actually managed a poo! Blush - sorry if TMI! Nothing dramatic like having to dash out of meetings to throw up though.... harassed is right though - everyone is different although I would love a bit of extra sickness to make things seem more real..... There is another lady Dachs on the updiffed thread who is 16 weeks with twins and still doesn't have any symptoms!

I have also had lesbian dreams and yes, very satisfying! Blush

pecka33 · 15/04/2011 11:11

mmmmm breakfast sounds ymmy ladies, thanks....
Worm, love love your kitchin, im mid-luring my dh to get an new one, ours is now 8 years old and looking very dated!!! But mid landscaping the back garden so there no hope this year!!
Wombat, harrassed sparkly my dreams are wild at the moment, but im putting it down to pre-af build up!! Af due next week so makes sense, dont think this month is the month (again)
sorry your feeling abit fragile harrassed, chin up and enjoy lots of wine and chocolate this weekend! Because we can!!!
I went to docs yest as got an ear infection and a skin flare up! But because were trying for a baby would prescribe my normal steriod based cream for my skin and nothing for my ear, just paracetamol!!! Aaaaaaarrrrhhhhhh so frustrating this whole ttc lark!!! He told me to take my pre-nat vitamins, no caffine, alcohol... Like i didnt know already dddderrrrrrr....

harassedinherpants · 15/04/2011 11:25

Wombat are you taking multi vits, Pregnacare type stuff?? If so it's probably that. Pregnacare also made my ms with dd even worse. Stopped taking them and the ms and constipation subsided...... Took the Sanatogen ones with Dec 10 bfp, and same sodding thing. Obviously mc'd, so won't be taking anything in future! Only Folic acid.

Pecka Ouch!! That sounds very painful. I haven't managed to cut out caffeine, but I only drink tea so prob not as bad as if I was a coffee drinker!

I once "you know what"'d from a dream whilst preg!!!! Can't remember what the dream was about, was too busy worrying if dh had noticed Blush

pecka33 · 15/04/2011 11:42

me too harrassed, have cut right back on caffine, drink earl grey now as my last pg put me off tea!! So earl grey only but very limited amounts, ive tried giving up compleatly but i got the worst headaches..
Not sure about the dream thing, think mine are hormone related!!
my hormones are still all over the place since my mc in sept, perids abit erratic, increased weight, headaches, spots, hair thining?? Swear there all connected to my hormones....

harassedinherpants · 15/04/2011 11:52

I need tea in the morning, otherwise I'm a total bitch, actually it's the caffeine probably! I have totally cut out aspartame though.... vile stuff, have a google.

I know I keep bleating on about it, but have a look at kinesiology. I'd agree your symptoms sound hormonal too. Honestly since I started with her my hormones and af have been the most stable ever, and my af went back to my regular 28 days after erpc then I got bfp the following month. Ok, I mc'd again, but it's a good start! I'm cd 24 now and have lots of af (or early preg) symptoms, so that sounds positive too. I'd see af next week as positive.

I've never had weird dreams leading up to af...... hence me freaking out a tad.

Sparkly what are feeding your cats?? My cat blooming stinks!! And not of sugarpuffs Hmm.

Sparklywine · 15/04/2011 12:09

Harassed, I do love you, your crusade against aspartame is becoming legendary across mn Grin I keep reaching for the sweetners at work and then recoil in horror, honestly.
Oooh, cat talk! The two older have kitekat tinned 'meat' with jelly, and whatever biscuits are on offer, normally whiskers or them in that yellow box. The kittens have whiskas pouches with jelly or gravy, and Iambs biscuits whilst I try to build them up. They're more interested in the adult food anyway, and whatever we're having for dinner, little cider drinkers. What smells, the bottom area or breath? If fur or arse, lazy moggie needs to groom more, have you tried licking her in encouragement? Grin If breath, perhaps she has issues with her teeth, get saving and take her to the vets for a check-up and polish.

Sparklywine · 15/04/2011 12:13

Ooh, I have been taking the Sanatogen folic things with Omega 3 (3 for 2 in Tesco) and haven't had a poo for days! Wish I'd know about them for the Leeds festival...Grin
The Omega 3 fish capsules keep sticking in my throat, where they slowly desolve and have me hiccuping fish all day.
The trials and tribulations eh....

wombatinwaiting · 15/04/2011 12:23

Wow sparkly - you are a real cat expert - who was / is the feline Barbara Woodhouse equivalent? I think they have competition....!

Sounds like you're in the wars a bit pecka - hopefully the weekend will sort you out a bit.... weren't you seeing an accupuncturist? I like the sound of harassed's kinesiologist- could be good.

I'm not taking anything other than folic acid and the baby asprin as I have a real pill-swallowing phobia so tried with pregnacare and caused myself so much anxiety about choking and dying my GP told me to just stick with the folic acid. REasonably healthy diet so I think I'm doing ok there, just the wretched constipation - I think the progesterone supps make it worse though..... impressed with all you're taking sparkly

OP posts:
pecka33 · 15/04/2011 12:33

i was seeing a reflexologist, but my cycles went haywire so stopped, i have a raki healer in my village that im planning on seeing to see if that helps.... If not i will take hassassed advice, just need to find a local one.
Im taking my vitamins again, pregnancae, (which made me very sick when i was pg but not now strangly) and on a health kick to try and lose abit of weight, am around a stone over weight but bmi is still within normal range so not worrying too much....
Dont have anything diet, dont like the taste of diet stuff (prob the reason why im a stone over) so im aspart(thingyabobbie fee)
wombat hope the constipation subsides soon, but isnt it a classic pg symptom?? I suffer from it alot so that why im always so bloody confussed???
sparkly not sure your meant to be taking th fish capsules why your pg??? I could be wrong??
